Marinette

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present, a completely useless piece of paper," Nino says, tossing his packet onto the floor in front of the two girls.
"Seriously dude? You could at least try to take the dance competition seriously."
Adrien bent down to get the discarded packet, making eye with Marinette on his way down. She gripped her bag handle to ease the sudden stress she was feeling, though it didn't help much. Alya nudged her, wiggling her eyebrows teasingly. Marinette hadn't thought she would be dying today, but once Adrien smiled that typical gooey centered smile, her fate was sealed.
"Hey Marinette," he said, handing back the now slightly damp sheets of paper to Nino.
Anything she had even dreamed of saying caught up in the back of her throat. When she finally mustered words, they sounded like fragments instead of sentences.
"So have any of y'all actually read through this?" Nino interrupts, gesturing to the his packet.
      "Marinette has."
Both Nino and Adrien look to her. She couldn't help but feel a bit pressured.
"Not everything! Just... the important stuff," she lies.
Adrien flips through the papers, "Yeah same, this is all kind of over whelming."
Marinette sucks in a breath, glad to not be the center of attention anymore. She wanted to say something to Alya, but she had started to talk to Nino directly. It would be weird to intrude. But she felt awkward just standing there. Maybe she should actually just try to talk to Adrien normally.
He kept his head down, obviously reading through his packet. She wanted to say something, anything was better than silence. But how was she supposed to if he was such eye candy.
Adrien looks up at her before she could realize she was staring, and she finally understands what it feels like to have an actual heart attack.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to stare, you're just...a bit distracting," She mumbles.
Adrien's eyes widen suddenly and she fears she might've said something wrong.  She hears both Alya and Nino having a coughing fit behind her. At first she's confused, then it clicks.
"Wait wait! That's not what I meant! I just—"
"Dang Mari, I didn't know you were such a flirt," Nino laughs, wrapping an arm around Adrien, "You have my boy blushin."
She could feel her face become hot and she looks to the ground, like that would somehow help her escape the situation she put herself into.
"Um, Marinette?"
She looks up, meeting eyes with Adrien, his cheeks flush with color.
"You walk home right?"
