[Logan's pov]

"We'll be okay, right Lo?"

"Yeah, we will, Virg"

Honestly, I have no idea. I know I shouldn't lie, but I can't worry him. We'll be out of this man's house soon enough. Just wish it was sooner.

"Promise, Lo?" He shuffled closer to me. I pulled him into my side and held him. He's shaking out of fear. I can't be scared. I have to be strong for him.

"I can't"

"Can you promise to not leave me?"

"Yeah, I promise we'll stay together"

Why did I make that promise? I can't know that we'll stay together. I'm so stupid. I can only hope that we'll stay together. Even if that means never getting adopted.

"I'm scared, Lo" He cuddle me more, still shaking.

"I know, Virg. How about get some rest?" He nodded and slowly fell asleep.

I won't be sleeping tonight.
