A/N: HEY GUYS!! THIS CHAPTER HAS BEEN THE LONGEST CHAPTER I HAVE EVER WRITTEN SO FAR!! AND AS YOU CAN SEE, I'VE BEEN INFORMED THAT DRACULE IS ACTUALLY THE LAST NAME OF MIHAWK. SO I NEEDED TO THINK OF A GOOD EXCUSE FOR THAT. SO I THREW IT IN THIS CHAPTER. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!! ^-^

BLAZE POV

"I couldn't just stand here any longer! I have to go see Shane!!" I said as I tapped my foot impatiently as Rayleigh removed the beeping collar of Keimi with his bare hands.

He threw it off on the other side of the stage just in time before it exploded into thin metal fragments.

"Hey! Hey! What was that?! The collar and cuffs are already off?!" Franky fumed as he stomped forward. "Look I found the keys and everything!!"

"Um.. thank you." Keimi said.

"Here soon-to-be-slaves. You should all get out of here too." Franky said as he threw the keys at them.

"Thank you so much!!" They all said as a glint of excitement went through each of their eyes.

"You guys, are you just pirates who hang around and watch?" Rayleigh asked Kid, Law and their crews. "If you withstood my haki that easily, then you aren't light weights either."

"I never thought I'd meet someone like you in a place like this." Law said in a mild manner as he leaned back on his seat.

"The Lord of the Underworld, Silvers Rayleigh. There's no mistaking it... why is a legendary man like you here?" Kid asked with that intimidating wide grin of his.

"On this island, I just own a coating shop. And don't call me that. I'm called Ray here. I wouldn't want the Marines to know my true identity, after all I am an old man who wants nothing more but a peaceful life." Rayleigh answered as he brought Hacchin on his back.

"Ugh. Can we please save the chit-chat for later and get on with the fight already?!" I complained as I started to head off towards the exit.

"Well the longer we wait the more Marines will come. So I'll be taking the leave first! You guys can just stay back." Kid said as he walked pass me.

"Hmph. Who placed him on charge?" I muttered and continued to walk towards the exit together with Luffy and Law who also had sour looks upon their faces.

"T-they're coming out!!" A marine shouted as we walked pass the large wooden doors.

"Didn't I tell you to stay back?" Kid said with a frown on his pale face.

"I don't take orders from you." I said as I glared at him.

"If you try to order me around again, I'll start with you, Eustass." Law warned.

"Blaze. Go find Shane. I'll deal with them." Luffy said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Yes Captain." I answered as I headed towards the side.

Several Marines blocked my way and kept on telling me to surrender.

"Move out of the way. I don't have time for this." I threatened but the Marines continued to ignore what I said and proceeded to aim their weapons at me.

Well it's their fault..

I raised my sword and whipped it up front which created a huge flame sword that eradicated the Marines in a single blow.

"They must be around here somewhere.." I said to myself as I ran across the flaring path towards the forest.

SHANE POV

I couldn't hear anything but my own heart beat which was getting slower every time a minute passed by..

I couldn't move..

*thump thump*

I couldn't breathe..

*thump thump*

It was like my soul was being extracted from my body as I fought for my life. My eyes fluttered open with a blurry vision.

"Where.. am I?"

My voice echoed through the ceaseless atmoshpere. Everything was encompassed with a pure white color. It was all just a clear empty space..

*thump thump*

I stood up and searched but nobody's here...

*thump thump*

Everyone's.. gone.

Deep vemonous voices began to echo inside my head as they keep on calling my name over and over again. Their voices kept on spiraling back and forth through my brain as I ran and tried to escape...

You'll never be strong enough...

"Stop it!!" I said trying to block their attempts to break me.

You're nothing special...

"N-no!" I cried out as I covered my ears to prevent myself from hearing those voices once again..

You're all alone..

I dropped to my knees with my hands still in my ears. My lips were in a straight pale line as I closed my eyes shut.

You'll always be left alone..

I tugged on my knees as I buried my face in between. I couldn't stop the tears from falling anymore..

*FLASH BACK* (11 YEARS OLD SHANE)

"It's my fault.. everything's my fault! If only I had been strong enough!! I could've saved them!!  There's no use of getting stronger if they're already dead!!" I shouted in outrage as I threw the wooden sword across the field.

"Shane! Don't blame yourself!!" Tora Sensei said as she grabbed hold of my shoulders.

"I wish I just died with them!! That way it wouldn't hurt this much..." I said as I clutched my heart that kept on bleeding for what seemed like an eternity.

Sensei placed her hand on top of mine.

"Pain is inevitable.. but it will surely heal in time.. Tell me, isn't there anyone else your willing to fight for?"

"Someone... to fight for?" I asked.

"Yes. Their the reason some people want to become stronger.. to protect the ones they love and cherish the most." Tora Sensei continued as she looked across the field.

"Isn't that right, Blaze?" Sensei called out at the red haired boy who was picking up the sword I threw.

"Yup. I'm fighting for myself you see.." Blaze started out with a wide grin plastered on his face.

Tora Sensei smacked him at the back of his head using the wooden sword.

"Oww.." Blaze complained.

"Don't be selfish!" Sensei lectured him out.

"But I don't remember that much from my past! So I have no one else but myself to fight for!" Blaze said as he shielded himself for any more upcoming swords that'll come his way.

"Okay enough lectures. Let's fill this up now. It's the official paper that you'll become residents of this village. So make sure it's the name you want them to call you, okay?"

"Can I change it after?" Blaze asked.

"No! It's permanent." Sensei answered.

"Man ... Okay, I like Blaze. Blaze is good. I don't want a surname anymore." The red hair said as Sensei wrote it down and crossed out the surname.

"You can change your name if you think it makes you more comfortable. After all this is a new life for you." Sensei said turning to me.

A new name..

A sad smile went across my face as I remembered my brother. He tried to save me until the very end even if it costs him his life..

To get rid of the past..

"Mihawk.."

I want to take on my brother's name as a promise that we'll meet again...

Until then.. I'll be known as..

"Shane Mihawk."

*END OF FLASH BACK*

"Shane..please wake up.." a voice called out.

I looked up and saw nothing.. but I knew who it was..

"Tobi.."

"I know you can hear me.. You're stronger than this disease!! Fight it Shane!! I know you can..please.. we need you.." He said between sobs.

I stood up and tried to go towards his voice. But then as I stepped forward everything just crumbled down.

Everything went black. The pieces of white glass fragments were shattered across the black obsidian floor as I heard Tobi crying...

"Tobi!!" I called out but he couldn't hear me.

The glass fragments swirled around me and turned into ice that began to wrap my feet with its stinging cold frost. It was slowly crawling unto my ankles.. my knees.. this feeling was all just too familiar..

WHO ARE YOU?

The voices whispered yet again as the ice froze my hands and restrained me..

WHO ARE YOU FIGHTING FOR?!

They shouted out each word as the frozen crystals clinged to my neck and crept upon my face.. I won't give into this..

"I AM.. SHANE MIHAWK!!" I shouted as I let flames enrapture my whole body which broke apart every piece of ice that was restraining me. "AND I SHALL FIGHT FOR MY NAKAMA!!"

BLAZE POV

"Where are they?!" I kept on looking but I ended up getting back from where I was before.

Then a large dark shadow was suddenly blocking out the sun. It looked like a large ball with strings by the side. So to get a clearer view I turned around and ended up seeing a Bartholomew Kuma's sole right in front of my face.

My eyes automatically shut themselves since I was kind of expecting the painful blow. But after a while nothing happened..

I slowly opened my eyes and saw him lying against a fallen tree.

"Sorry to keep you waiting.. am I too late?" She said with that sweet velvet voice of hers as her hazel brown eyes glimmered through the blistering rays of the sun.

"SHANE!!!" I shouted as all my worries faded away. She's alright! I knew it!

"I'm here too you know." Tobi said by Shane's side as he sticked his tongue out at me.

"Yeah. Good job Furball." I said as I patted his head then I remembered the main reason why I was even here.

"I almost forgot! The others are still in the auction hall! There's an Admiral coming for us. We need to go. Now!!" I said as I took a glance of Kuma who was currently getting up.

"Leave it to me." Shane said.

The ground at our sides began to encircle us and the next thing we knew was we were inside a ball made up of well defined rocks!

We then sinked into the ground and we rolled through a series of tunnels that the earth seemed to make within Shane's command.

We were literally rolling inside the ball for about 10 seconds. We hit and stumbled upon each other until we rose above the ground! After processing what happened, the rock finally cracked open.

"Shane.. don't ever use that move again.." I said as I stepped out feeling dizzy.

I mean, yeah it's fast. But kinda too fast for my taste..

"Yeah.. I was still working on what to do with the inside." She replied with an apologetic smile.

"I think I'm gonna be sick.." Tobi said as he lied on the ground.

"Tobi stop goofing around! We have work to do." I complained.

"Fine.." The cat said as he stood up in an upright position.

"Alright! Let's go." Shane said earnestly.

■■■■■INSIDE THE AUCTION HOUSE■■■■■

ZORO POV

"Come on!! We'll break through one push!" I said as I headed outside.

"Alright!" The Cook agreeed as he walked beside me.

"Well then if we split up, let's meet in Grove 13." Rayleigh said.

"Got it." I answered. Grove 13. I think I passed that 2 or 3 times before Luffy found me..

"You don't get it at all!!" Usopp cried out.

●●●●OUTSIDE THE AUCTION HOUSE●●●●

"MORTARS FIRE!!!" The Marine Officer commanded as he raised his hand which was followed by a series of exploding projectiles heading towards the three Captains.

"GOMU GOMU NO BALLOON!!" Luffy bellowed as he breathed in air which expanded himself looking like a 'human balloon' and deflected the mortar effortlessly.

"Repel." With a single stretch of Kid's hand, the mortar flew back and exploded within the fleet of Marines.

"Room." Law said with a devilish grin as a circle surronded the area. He then beheaded a Marine with a single slice of his sword.

"Shambles.." The mortar interchanged with the head of the Marine which was still clearly alive. Law caught the head and proceeded to play with it in his hand.

"Eeeeehhhh!? What's going on?!" The decapitated Marine asked as he looked at his body on the other side.

"We have to hold on until Admiral Kizaru arrives!" The Marine Officer announced among his comrades who seemed fazed about what happened.

"Do you really think you can hold on for that long?" Law chuckled as he threw the head towards the Marines.

"Gaah! His head! How's he still alive?!" There was chaos among them until Law made another attack.

"Room." He proceeded to slice up the Marines and proceeded to 'rearrange' several of their bodies.

"What the hell's with his arm?!" A Marine shouted as they saw Luffy's rubber arm expand its size.

"This arm.. is the arm of a giant!!" Luffy said with a grin.

"D-don't falter! Ready your weapons!! We'll surely find an opening!!" Another one shouted as they readied themselves for Luffy's attack.

With that said their weapons flew across the air as if it was being sucked towards something.

"What's that?!" They pointed out as Kid's right arm attatched to a series of their weapons that formed a large robotic arm.

"Just how are we supposed to fight these guys?!" They shouted as the three Captains mercilessly attacked them with their devil fruit powers.

Marines ran with entangled bodies as their legs, arms and torsos were improperly placed together. The sight itself was like a living nightmare that actually amused the psychotic raven haired Captain.

They continued to run for their lives as Luffy's fist headed straight towards them like a huge wrecking ball. Bruises and broken bones was brought about them as they got hit and thrown about by the humongous fist of the Straw Hat Captain.

As if the Marines haven't had enough, Kid's terrifying metal arm consisting of canons, swords and guns that were supposed to bring them down slammed towards the Marines relentlessly and crushed the life of any person that could've survived in the front lines.

After some time the other crew members finally went out of the auction hall seeing the result of the combined attack of these three Captains.

"Hey what happened all of a sudden?!" Zoro said completely confused.

"Of course.. those two are devil fruit users too!" Sanji noted.

"Amazing!! I can't believe my eyes.." Brook said as he jaw dropped. "Though.. I don't have eyes!!"

"You went a little over board Captain." A brown haired man wearing a blue hat and sunglasses stated.

"They're short tempered.." A man with long blonde hair whose face was being covered by a mask remarked.

"Commodore! It looks like they've taken them all out!!" The Marine shouted.

"We've secured the World Nobles at the rear entrance!! Gun squad! Aim the mortars at the non devil fruit users!! All soldiers attack at once!! Reinforcements will come here soon! We'll take those pirates down!!" The Marine Commodore enforced as hundreds of other Marines began to run towards them.

"Here they come. It looks like they don't have a plan anymore. It's just a straight-up brawl." Kid pointed out.

The Marines were all in group formations as they ran in full speed towards the pirates. That is until several men started gliding through the air.

"Gwaah!!"

Each of them had a series of cuts and slices on their bodies as they landed on the ground together with their weapons which turned into metal shreds.

"What's happening!?"

Suddenly a huge fire spear appeared out of the shadows and extruded its way through the Marines.

"Look out!!"

The spear continued to stretch itself and began to bend piercing through the unlucky Marines it passed.

"Save us!!!"

SHANE POV

I was flying in mid air as the Marines kept on panicking and lessened in number. Bodies fell one by one through the vast area of the archipelago due to Blaze and Tobi's rigorously slow torture.

As I landed next to Luffy I raised my hand and commanded the winds to pull Blaze and Tobi by my side leaving the other Marines perplexed about what happened.

"I told you to make it 'quick'." I said as I looked upon the two who were lying on the ground. I guess getting dragged through the entire battlefield is a little bit too much?

These Marines.. are just doing their duty..

As I faced upfront, each one of them got stabbed all at once by sharp-edged rocks that began sprouting throughout the terrain.

But they chose this path..

The rocks pierced through their bodies as it entered their very being. Splitting in half every flesh and bone that it came across.

And I chose mine..

I made sure the rocks hit their vital spots first, that way they wouldn't suffer anymore. They'll just have a fast painless death.

"Shane-saaan~!!!" Sanji began as he did his noodle dance.

"I'm glad you're back Shane!" Luffy said cheerfully.

"Took you long enough." Zoro smiled.

"Well I had quite a cold." I smiled back as the others started to gather around me.

"So the rumors were true.." Law said out of the blue. "Sword Elementalist, Shane Mihawk.. are you here to take this bounty off my head?" He said as his gray eyes gazed over mine.

"Well I've recently resigned of that duty.. I'm with this guy now." I said as I pointed at Luffy.

"Hahaha! You guys aren't half bad..." Kid laughed as he turned around and faced the deep chasm of the forest. "You have a worthy crew Straw Hat.. I'm looking forward to meeting you all again.. in the New World!!" He announced as he disappeared into the forest together with his crew.

"I wouldn't go in there if I was him." Blaze pondered out.

"Yeah.. good luck dealing with Kuma!!" Tobi shouted out.

"WHAAAAAT?!!" Kid shouted back. He clearly didn't understand what Tobi just said.

Within a split second, Kid was sent flying and crashed on the ground.

"BOSS KID!!" Heat, a light blue shaggy haired man with his mouth stretched to the sides of his face, called out with concern.

"KID!!" Killer, the blonde masked man, shouted as he saw his Captain stumble back from the attack.

Kid stood up and wiped his mouth from the unexpected blow. His eyes widened as he saw what was standing before them. Bartholomew Kuma.

"Why...Why is a Shichubukai here?!"
