Penny rushed over to her shared room and she let out a sigh of relief as she got inside and slammed the door shut. The paparazzi had cornered her, but she used her magic to give her a head start from them. She decided to change out of her dress and she layed down on her bed before she began to play her flute. Penny let her mind wander as she played the flute. She no longer felt like she was in Auradon, but in Neverland. She remembered all the nights that she and the lost boys had fun. She remembered the adventures she would go on with her father, or Felix. It was rare if all three of them went on adventures without the rest of the lost boys.

She remembered all the games they played - her favorite was definitely hide and seek.

But then, she began to remember about all of those times she was evil and killed innocent people and pirates. The times where she and Peter basically kidnapped children in order to find the heart of the truest believer. As her mind was filled with these horrible memories, her music grew darker too.

Her head began to hurt and she stopped playing and gripped onto her head. She groaned and fell onto the ground and onto her knees. Her eyes were flickering back and forth from black to brown and she knew that something bad was about to happen, but she couldn't figure out what.

Meanwhile, Mal ran into the boys' dorm and slammed the door shut. The same paparazzi that had cornered Penny had cornered Mal and she ran. The blonde was letting out puffs of air and she shocked Carlos. Mal's eyes flashed bright green and Carlos' eyes widened.

"Woah. Easy, girl."

Carlos stood up and he walked over toward Mal.

"What? You think this is so easy? You don't have people taking a picture of you every time you open your mouth. to say 'boo'!" Mal exclaimed. "I mean, it's not that I would say 'boo' but you know what I mean." "I'm sorry. And I do know how it feels like, well, a little since I'm dating Penny."

"Right. I forgot. Carlos, don't you ever miss screaming at people and just making them run away from you?" Mal asked.

"You're thinking of my mother, and I was usually on the other end of that. So, no, not really. But Mal, do you have the thing I asked for?" Before Mal could answer, they heard the door unlocking and they both turned to see Chad Charming walking in. The two looked at each other in bewilderment before turning back to Chad.

"Hi. Just came to see your 3D printer. Won't be a sec," Chad said as he walked toward Carlos' 3D printer. "How'd you make a key to my room?" The freckled boy asked. "Oh, I printed it off last time I was in here. Uh, you guys were sleeping." Carlos looked over at Mal before the two focused on the blonde prince. "Look, I just - your printer is so much better than mine. And you've installed all these hacks and everything runs so much smoother than mine and - " but Carlos had enough. He walked over to his open door and looked at Chad. "Out! Now!" Chad rolled his eyes and muttered "fine."

He walked out the door, but Carlos called his name. Chad groaned and turned around. "What?" "Leave the key." The two glared at one another before Chad gave in and slammed the key down on the table. He then slammed the door shut and Carlos locked it before walking over to Mal.

"Mal? The gummy?"

Mal shook her head and nodded.

"Oh. Right."

Mal grabbed a small box and took out a gummy. "So, this will help me tell Penny the truth and so we hopefully fix our relationship?" "Yes. Are you sure about this? Because if you take this, it will always make you say the truth no matter what. The only reason I'm asking is because I know that if I took it right now that I would be sent back to the Isle."

Carlos looked at the gummy, but he knew that he had to fix things with Penny.

"Yeah. . . I'll take my chances."

Mal nodded and lowered her hand, only to have Dude run over and he ate the gummy. "No!" "Ugh. That was horrible!" The two looked at one another before looking down at Dude. Things then got weird and Mal left. Carlos sighed and looked at Dude.

"Okay, well, I'm going to go talk to Penny. I'll be back." Dude whined but Carlos ignored him and he closed the door.

After Penny's little episode, she raced around the room as she looked for papers that she had to finish filling out. She felt like tearing her hair out, but she also knew what she would be getting in to when she agreed to be Ben's Royal Advisor. There was a knock on her door and she repressed a groan.

"Come in!"

Carlos walked in and his eyes widened at the state that his girlfriend was in. Papers surrounded her bed and Penny looked like she wanted to scream. "Hey." "Hey, Carlos." "How are you?" "Horrible. Ever since I became Ben and Auradon's Advisor, I haven't caught my breath, and Cotillion is not helping me at all. It's just all too much and I just wish everyone just left me alone!"

"Everyone?"

"Yes! All they care about is me being this perfect Advisor with no problems, yet I know that some people question if I will ever be evil again. I just wish everyone left me alone so I wouldn't be like this!"

Carlos frowned and he got up from the chair. "Where are you going?" Penny asked. "Leaving you alone. Just like you wanted." "Carlos - " "No. You said you want everyone to leave you alone, so we'll leave you alone. I'll make sure to tell Mal and Evie." "Really, Carlos?" "What do you want me to do, Penny?" Carlos asked, exploding.

"You said you want everyone to leave you alone! You said you don't want to be seen with me just so the paparazzi won't come after me! I've been giving you space! I've done everything that you asked! Is that not enough?"

"Carlos - "

"And who the Hell was the guy you got all excited for earlier today? When was the last tim you were like that with me? Do you even like me? Do you even want to be with me?"

"Of course I want to be with you!"

Carlos scoffed and Penny grew angry.

"Carlos Oscar De Vil! I want to be with you, okay? I just hate that the paparazzi go after you too." "I don't care about them." "Well I don't want to see you suffering like Mal and I! I want you to have a normal life, but I am being selfish by wanting you. God, Carlos, I can't get you out of my head. No matter what I do, you're always on my mind."

"Then what's the problem?"

"The problem is almost everyone else. They expect too much from me and ever since Coronation, I know that some people fear me now. I just wished everyone left me alone. I wish I never agreed to being Ben's Royal Advisor." "Well, I can at least help make one of those wishes come true by leaving you alone." "Carlos - " but Carlos had already left the room and he slammed the door shut. Penny froze in her spot, not knowing what to do. Were she and Carlos over? Did they just need space? Are they still together? So many things were running through her mind and she began to cry. She began to cry, finally letting everything out.

She loves Carlos, but they've never told each other that they love each other. She didn't want to have to explain to the girls why she was crying if they were to come in, so she flew out the window and headed to the Enchanted river. There, she cried her heart out, and she was pretty sure that Carlos most likely hates her.
