Chapter 23

Insanely Insane

The next thing I knew as I woke up, my head kept hitting the edge of the staircase. I felt something furry hold my left foot down the stairs, where my head kept banging on the floor.

"Wake up, HapPy." Marek said as he dropped my foot down and I was able to stand up. My head felt shaky and painful.

"What on earth did you do to my head?" I groaned weakly as I carefully touched the aching part of my head.

"Sorry. I tried knocking but you didn't wake up." Marek said as Harpy walked down the stairs followed by my other dog, Happy.

"Are you ready to go?" Marek asked me seriously as he handed my bag over to me. I took it from him and walked outside. It was noon.

"With my head and all, I don't think I would like to join you." I answered as I headed for the door when Marek blocked me.

"Dog, don't be a coward." He glowered at me."Get on the horse and manouver it at the direction I want."

I backed off slightly. Yep he I s getting serious."Um, Rhelms gave us direct orders not to go outside." I told him.

"Marek, go inside." I ordered. He stared at me sternly."HapPy. Why wouldn't you disobey the goat?" Marek said as he took a step closer. I backed off further. My dogs teleported to my side, ready to pounce on my mark.

"Marek, I'm a dog with much to learn. But just because I barely know anything in this world doesn't mean I know how to fight." I warned him as I drew out my sword.

"So it's gonna be like that, huh?" Marek did a devilish grin and took another step forward. He drew out two swords and took a step closer.

"I know you're potential, dog. You are more than a furry, optimistic, idiot than you think you are." Marek said as he lowered his head. Shadows covered his face but I knew he was gonna attack me soon.

"I know you warned her about her neck." Marek said as his swords glimmered."Funny how crazy you could end up if you get hurt by people you trust. I wonder what would happened if I gave you a little big scar." Marek said as he lunged towards me. I quickly moved to the right and missed him by an inch. Before he realized he missed me, I swung my right arm around, hitting him on the back with my elbow. He fell to the ground and laughed.

"Warm up." He whispered. I turned around and looked at him when I felt something hit my chin. A foot. Marek's foot.

I stumbled backwards when I saw my dogs growling. I motioned for them to sit and I glowered at Marek, who was back on his feet.

"You know, it's kinda hard not to let loose of my insanity." I smiled. Oh dear. Not again.

"My master loved me. I was his everything for happiness. That's how I got my name." I--it smiled creepily.

"But there came along death. Death which brought me into this hell." I--it laughed."You want to know how it feels?"

I couldn't take control of my self. I felt... funny. The next thing I knew was two insane people were sword fighting each other with two dogs as spectators.

"If only you knew, my friend." It said to Marek as it stopped Marek's incoming sword. Marek smiled at it and moved his other sword towards me. It spun to the right and missed the sword and kicked Marek on the head.

"You don't know how it feels how to lose everything you know and love!" Marek showed his fangs and lunged towards me, attempting to get a bite.

"Brother, I had lost my master. This time, I will lose a bear." It took over my body and stepped backwards, dodging Marek's fangs.

"This is redemption for my family! My retribution!" He shouted when he swung his sword suddenly, getting me a cut on the shoulder. Ow! I shreiked in pain while attempting to gain control over  myself.

"Redeem yourself? Ha! You will only succeed into a successful suicide. Let me kill you instead." It spoke to Marek. Marek laughed and kicked it on the stomach. It was painful. I have to be honest. I had no freaking idea this was how insane I could get. But this isn't me. Abandonment of our master has led me into this. Grrrrrrreat.

It stumbled backwards, to a tree, where Marek tried to stab me in the gut, but he sadly missed me when it sidestepped to the right.

"This is what I wanted from you, HapPy! I want you to stay like this against the greifers! Hatred is growing! So is my vengance!" Marek laughed as he tried to pin me on the ground.

I tried to break myself free. I had to gain control before someone gets killed.

"HapPy???? HAPPY IS NO MORE. HE IS TRAPPED WITHIN ME. I WILL NEVER SET HIM FREE UNTIL I GET BARRY BACK!" It cried out loud as it swung the sword around slowly.

I know. I also miss him. But there is nothing I can do. He deserted us. He bought me here. I attempted to reason with it with my mind, but it wouldn't listen. It smiled back at me.'Enjoy this slaughter.' It told me.

"You aren't you! Neither am I! This is perfect!" Marek exclaimed as he tried to punch it, but it got hold of his hand and pushed him down to the grass.

"And soon enough, You won't be you as well." It told Marek as it raised the sword it was holding. Dang it! Marek would die! I need to do something quick.

It brought the sword down heavily and was about to slice Marek into two when the arms stopped at the tip of Marek's nose. Thank goodness! I guess kicking does the trick.

As I realized I gained back control, I felt weak. Tired and injured. Darn. That shadow wasted me alot! I dropped down the sword and smiled at Marek, who was looking confused.

"Sorry..." I apologized weakly as I fell next to him. I felt like my eyes were closing. Beside me was a bleeding  wound. On my stomach was a painful kick.

'HapPy!' Those words. Those are the only words I heard before passing out. I felt weak. I couldn't do anything. Great.
