The Severed Server

As we laid Marek to his room, Rhelms looked around for a peice of paper and some paper and quills. Cat and I sat next to the sleeping body of Marek."What has gotten into you, Bear?" Cat questioned as she repeatedly slapped his face in anger."You tried to kill me!" She said, slapping him harder. He was out cold alright. Cat slapped him harder for each and every thought about her near death expeirience. I guess I stopped the sword halfway through her back, so if I were her I won't be that mad-- I'd be FURIOUSLY FURIOUS. I mean, she saved him and she nearly gets killed as a reward? What an outraged!

"You could have hacked me to death, too!" I shouted at the sleeping bear as I joined in with Cat at slapping the face of the bear. Wow. Is this how his anger feels? Or is it a lot more destructive? Hm... I suppose his anger at us is more deadly than ours right now."I am gonna be an angry wolf when you wake up..." I growled at him. Happy and Harpy, as if on cue, growled as well. Cat scoffed at us."Is that really how angry a wolf is? Be a LION! A FEROCIOUS LION!" She growled at the sleeping body. Okay, I think we are really getting put of hand because we began talking about our fare share of his organs when we take vengance on him. Yeah... I think we're going nuts.

Rhelms entered the door with a map and quill on his hand as he looked at us in shock."Why do you four look like you're about to pounce on him?" He asked as he backed off a little with a sense of dread. Remembering my manners, I put back my arms at my back and swiftly kicked Cat on the leg with my right foot when she couldn't get the idea of calming down.

"Uh.... don't worry about us! We're fine! We just got a little out of han-- I mean paw!" Cat and I explained in chorus. Alkward, huh? Rhelms stared at us blankly."Uh... okay." He said as he backed off a little more."Please find me at your living room." He said as he ran off. As soon as He was out of view, Cat leaned in and pulled my ear, harshly."YOU MUTT! WAS KICKING ME NESSESARY?" She screamed at my ear. I tried to look happy even though I'm screaming in pain."I guess I did the 'right' thing, huh?" I said as Cat pulled my other ear. For a cat she could pull ears painfully. EEKK!

"Stop it!" Cat said as she stepped on my tail. I screamed in pain, yet I made another pun to brighten up."I totally 'legged it', huh?" I said as I held on firmly to her arm that was pulling my ear. I made another joke."Hey! Don't take off my ear! I'll tell Marek your mean and that you're an 'ear'esponsible Cat!" I squealed as I attempted to free myself.

As I tried to free myself, I felt the pain weaken. I felt relief. I couldn't hear much-- considering the fact my yellow ears turned orange, but it think I saw Cat rolling around, covering her ears.

"STOP IT!" She kept laughing. I smirked and slapped her in the face."That's for pulling my other ear." I said as I helped her up. The two dogs were sitting, watching us laugh at the horrible puns.

Eventually, we were able to stop laughing and proceeded to the meeting area. When we got to the living room, we were greeted by Rhelms, who seems to be marking off areas with cicles and arrows on three maps.

"Finally you came." Rhelms said as he stood up with a stick in hand."Come." He ordered. I look at Rhelms differently now. We were once fighting each other at night, then I imprisoned him in my cave, and now, he's like our planner."I got Marek's journal entries." Rhelms said."I peiced together the map and made some duplicates, though I believe Marek despises the idea."

"Okay," Cat said."Go on..."

"I believe the armour and weapons are our least priority." Rhelms said."Undelle wants to find the weapons, but if we head out destroy his towers that he placed around the server..."

"What?" I asked.

"He will split out his forces evenly to guard his watchtowers."

"Who would be stupid to do that?" I asked.

"My mas-- no, my FORMER master was poor when it comes to strategy. That's why he lost his bear kingdom..."

"Uh...?"

"Anyways, we have the maps he doesn't have. Undelle will not be able to find the temple. While he is struggling to find us, might as well destroy those towers. It will benifit us and the other servers."

I froze as I hear the word 'other servers'. So it was true. There were more servers. I decided to keep my mouth shut for now. Maybe Rhelms will come across that topic during our talk.

"Can't we just head straight to this Undelle guy?" Cat asked.

"We can, but that, of course, is suicide." Rhelms answered."in order to get there, we will need to seperate him from his forces. Then afterwards, we will need to face him, which will be very hard..." Rhelms' voice trailed off slowly."But that will be a different story."

"We will need to destroy his guard towers that keep watch of the server. When we do, we can get to Undelle with ease." Rhelms pointed to a lot of places in a straight line."The dark jungle, Creeper Plains, large temples..." The list went on.

"Well, to be honest, those aren't really that dangerous. The proper equipment and logic can get us there." Cat said."Hm... your bear king has some issues with strategy. No wonder he lost his land."

"To a female." Rhelms added.

"Yeah, to a--" Cat froze for a moment. She turned to me with her jaw open."A FEMALE?" She exclaimed. Now, I have no idea why she was looking for an answer from me, because I didn't even know other servers existed! I just simply answered with a shrug.

"Anyways, let's not get sidetracked. Focus on the problems at hand." Rhelms chimed in.

He pointed at one of the circles in the map."These mark off towers my former master made around the servers." He said, tracing the circle with the stick."one of the towers hold a small passage that leads to another server. That is another reason why we should destroy the towers." He said, marking off more circles on the three maps."If we do, we can be able to allow other servers access to our server. Maybe they can bring in an army to get rid of Undelle's about to be former army."

"But the army... no, we cannot destroy the portal towers he had built. Not all of them, atleast."

Rhelms continued muttering."But the other servers want to get rid of him too... maybe by chance there is a multiserver army who is fighting their way through the portals right at this moment?"

I don't understand what's the big problem. I mean, a passage to another server that has a chance of giving passage to a greifer army and a multiserver army? We have the upper hand! We can destroy the portals at our will, so I tilted my head.

Rhelms understood and began explaining.

"Master had already hired recruits  far stronger than his army here. They come from across servers. If we're not not careful and master figures out our plan, he could call his recruits from across these destroyed servers. Whats worse is that the portals are made of indestructible."

"Destroyed? Why?" Cat ignored the dangerous army part. He sighed."You two have so much questions. I like that." He said.

"My former master wanted to rule a lot of servers. He had already made progress and have destroyed some of the servers." He said, getting peices of grass from his pocket, then eating it."Other servers were forced to work for him, such as the one in the east."

"So you're saying that these servers were severed by your boss?" I asked. He nodded. I could sense Cat getting irritated.

"So what's the plan?" Cat asked.

He looked asked the map."Like I said, my boss forced the server from our east to work for him. There is a portal that allows them to travel across server to server." Rhelms pointed at the furthest right circle.

"One of them in this server lies in here, in this greifer tower." Rhelms said."If we can infiltrate this tower and destroy it, the soldiers from the other side will have no more access to the portal. If a portal is no longer accessible, it will destroy itself. So we will destroy the one at the east ao we can force them to travel across servers just to reach the other one on the west." He said as he pointed the stick to the furthest left circle. Cat stared at it uneasily."Won't there be soldiers there too?" Cat asked. Rhelms shook his head."That server is severed. It has been mostly destroyed. Only five small refugee camps were detected in there." Rhelms said.

"If we destroy the portal in a tower, then do we destroy the other towers?" I asked Rhelms. He stared asked the map."Yes." He replied."We cannot risk our lives fighting the boss as back up storms in. It would be almost impossible!" He explained.

"I will pack up the weapons and some food and camping bags and torches..." Cat began walking the to the door when she suddenly stopped.

"Wait."

Cat turned around and glowered at Rhelms. She slowly walked towards us and drew out a sword she pointed at Rhelms.

"Why would we trust you?"

"Uh, Cat..." I softly said as I pushed her sword away from Rhelms' throat.

"We got over this..." I whispered at her ear. She didn't bother. She kept her sword pointed at Rhelms.

I was getting really annoyed by all this. Marek... Greifers... Annihilation... ANGER...

"...didn't  we, Cat?"

The voices added a phrase to my sentence. Strange... it doesn't sound like me, but I said it... but I didn't even think of saying it...

The cat lowered her weapon in shock. She backed off with her hands still gripping the sword. My unusual actions got her by surprise. She's cautious with me. SHE'S SCARED OF ME.

I felt anger and hate slowly taking over, but this doesn't feel like me... I refuse for it to take over me...

Suddenly... The anger... it vanished so sudden.

"You shall fall to your own hate.... but not yet..." A voice I heard whispered faintly."The anger of loss will get you... until then..."

I looked at Cat. She was weary of me.

"What... was that?" She asked.

"What?" Rhelms scratched his head with his hand.

"Er... nothing." Cat replied before turning to Rhelms."I mean-- WHY SHOULD WE TRUST YOU?! GIVE US A SPECIFIC REASON" Cat inched forwards again. Ugh... can't the information get through her pink hair?

I was about to intervene when Rhelms walked forwards."Because if you don't, my master will pillage the very floor you stand on."

Cat lowered the sword and thought about it for a moment.

"Fine. I trust you only because you have useful information," Cat turned to me.", and because HapPy here can sense trustworthy people."

"I'll prepare some tnt, just in case we need to breach something, more food, my trusty pickaxe, just in case we need to mine through tower walls, and some more bow and arrrows, for all of us." I said as Cat and me began to leave. Before we fully closed the door, Rhelms reminded us something."We leave as soon as we can." He said.

Well, I suppose this is going to be an adventure/ deadliest thing I've ever done so far/ a quest from a griefer... But hey, it's fun at least. Hopefully.
