Chapter 12

The Journal Entries

"Wow! I like the architecture you've done." Cat complimented my work on the house. The outside was replaced by stone, and the inside had birch and spruce trees as the floor. I also added carpets!

"So the house is a lot bigger now?" Marek asked."Yep!" I replied."It has a passage that leads to the other side or the river! Um... don't get me started on that story but... Isn't that cool?" I told them.

We stepped inside for them to see the new home."So this is like our meeting hall. Sure, it's our old house, so I expanded it.... like 20 blocks larger!" I told them."Who knew I was good at destroying and creating things?" I asked. Marek raised his hands up while Cat rolled her eyes. I laughed.

"So that door on the right leads to the kitchen and--"

Marek cut me off before I could finish my sentence. He ran towards the direction of the kitchen."Well, I suppose he got hungry after what just happened." Cat said. Suddenly, I remembered something. I need to show it to Cat.

"Cat." I called our to her as she looked at the kitchen from afar. She must've been thinking deeply, because she got startled.

"Don't shout at me!"

"I did not shout, Cat."

"Oh. Why did you call me?"

"Oh, I need to show you something improtant-- in my room."

"If this is another one of your jokes, I will literally destroy--!"

"No. I'm serious. It's about Marek."

Cat froze. It seems saying his name was effective when Cat starts going in a rampage. Cat finally regained her senses and stared at me.

"Let's go." She commanded me. I led the path to my room-- which was upstairs. As soon as we got up the stairs, we turned left and headed to a long hallway. Soon enough, we reached my room. Cat stared at the other side of the hallway. I knew she was gonna ask about that hall. So I told her.

"By the way, Marek's room is on the opposite hall, with yours just next to it." I told her as I opened my room's door. She looked past my door and asked.

"So who's room is that?" She asked me as she went inside."That's Happy's and Harpy ' room." I replied as I closed my door and locked it.

My room wasn't really that bright in the night, so luckily I had my torches lit up. The walls were spruce planks, and the floor was stone-- that was covered by yellow wool.

"So, what's this about?" Cat asked as she sat on the carpeted floor. I didn't reply. I silently headed to my chest and searched for the papers."Uh... HapPy, what is this about? I know it's about Marek, but... what about Marek?" She asked me."Almost everything, maybe?" I replied as I pulled out seven peices of paper off my chest. I sat next to cat and scattered the papers. As I did, Cat scanned them closely.

"These are journal entries! Where did you get these?" Cat said, surprised. I rolled my eyes at and pointed at her."You got these, Cat. Don't you remember?" Cat shrugged."Well, I didn't really bother read these, so I'm not sure." I sighed.

"These journal entries must've come from the creater area." I told her. She turned to me, her face unsure."How would you know?" She asked me, looking back at the papers.

"It was in the final journal entry, which was excactly BEFORE the creeper incident." I told her. Hmm... I should not have mentioned that. Just looking at her made me sure she was having goose bumps."Uh..... s-sure is... c-c-creepy..." She said with her voice stammering, fading now and then. I nodded. I was about to continue when I felt the room felt chilly. Guess I was creeped out myself.

"Haps... you sound so serious about this. Are you okay?" Cat asked me worried. I turned to her. I was thinking to hard I can't make up a sentence. All I did was a nod."Oh. She muttered silently.

"So what does Marek have to do with these journal entries?" Cat asked me as she picked up a random journal entry. I took a journal entry as well and replied."The person who wrote these entries was related to Marek." I told her.

"Huh." She said as she started reading the third entry.

Entry Number 95

There was a fight in our cell. They kept talking about lost family members and how it's the other people's fault. My relative and I sit just and cross each other, starring sadly at me. I could do nothing. We were nothing. All I could do was lay my head down and mourn.

Isn't it funny? Me and him are so close yet so far. It's like our freedom here. The day today is Monday, somewhere in January-- the day the second group of Golem knights shall fall from the heavens and wreak havoc upon these monsters. Funny. They should be here. But they aren't. What a false theory.

Thus prophecy tells us about an archer,a strategist,a potion master, a warrior, an assasin, an explosives expert, and a redstone master, will group together and destroy the darkness in all forgotten servers. It was believed the first one had fallen already. My parents told me he was born  the same day as a me, coincidentally. Now I was believed Teo be my family's greatest gift.

Now, we know that the prophecy is false. We have no more hope. We ate lost.

Cat was crying when she finished reading."CAT, STOP IT! YOU KNOW I GET AGITATED IF SOMEONE CRIES!" I started screaming. Great. I was being vexed.

It took her a few minutes to stop crying. What a relief! I thought I was done for there.

Cat gazed at the word 'prophecy' at the entry."Who do you think these could be?" Cat asked. I shrugged."I mean, we landed here at the same exact date. Do you think it's possible it IS us?" Cat asked me. I shrugged again."Nah. I doubt that." I told her. She stared at the other journal entries."Hey, look at that one. It's full of blood." Cat pointed nervously as I stood up to open my door."That's the last entry." I told cat."I highly suggest you do not read the others. They just tell you what mournful day they're having." I told Cat."The person who wrote this realized she might die soon, so she wrote as much as possible. That's why the third part of the journal, entry number 95, is way farther than the last entry, entry number  140."

Entry Number 140

My sibling and I are on the run. Even though I could run very fast, I had to slow down for my cousin. He was full of bruises and lumps, scars, and still bleeding wounds. I felt sorry for him.

We heard voices far back saying they shall release the creepers. I am running right now as I am writing this. I have to look for a hiding spot. Creepers are hunting us down in the deep jungle. It's dangerous in this time of night but we have no other choice-- aside from dying.

I kept running, but I had realized my cousin was not with me. I had to shout his name. His name is M

Cat dropped the paper and stood up suddenly, her face full of fear."My goodness... My..." Cat whispered frightened. The author's blood splattered across the book as the creepers blew up at her. I guess the book got destroyed along with her--except these papers. I guess that's what made her scared.

"See cat? Before he was badly injured, he was an animal in a zoo!" I told her.

Cat glared at me with fear."Your saying he's a polar bear in a zoo?" She said as she tried to speak straight.

"It's a metaphor!" I shouted at at her out of the sudden.

"Sorry!" She shouted back. I guess this will take us nowhere. I took heavy breaths. She calmed down.

"What now?" Cat asked me as she headed outside. I picked up the papers and placed them in a neat pile in the chest."We talk to Marek." I replied."And I'll need your help."

"And why is that?" Cat asked me. I collapsed on my bed."I don't know." I told her."I feel like you would be needed."

Cat grinned. She held the door know of my spruce door."Hm... I doubt that. But maybe..." She stared somberly at nothing."Marek..."

I felt uneasy. Sadness isn't a thing I can cope up with, so I decided to get her angry, because I can handle that.

"You WOODEN mind the fact my room door is different, right?" I asked her grinning. Cat stopped staring at nothing and glanced at me angrily."Shut it."

"But why? I'm talking about how much my door SPRUCED up the place!" I grinned."But if you don't want tree puns, I'll write them down in my LOG book."

Cat gave me a cold stared and left."You'll regret you said those puns, HapPy." Cat said as her voice faded."I'll get you for that!" Oh, I'll be waiting.
