"Hey."

A voice interjected.

It was different to that of Jun's loud and assertive tone...

This one was more calm--
more...stoic.

A familiar voice I had first heard only seconds ago.

"You know, 

I'd like to take you up on your offer now."

Ichihara Kazuo said,
as he inserted himself between Jun and me.

Jun's face began to flush in rage at the interruption.

"Y-you! What are you-"

But he was cut off yet again
by Ichihara Kazuo's spontaneous words.

"I hope you don't mind,
but she'll be showing me around."

A hard look set into his eyes as he turned to face Jun head on;
the clear conviction veiled in the frigid detachment
was enough to make Jun flinch.

...

Sensing that there would be no more disagreement stemming
from his opposition (for the moment),
Ichihara Kazuo placed his hand on my arm.

              "Excuse us."

And with those brief parting words,

he pulled me along as he removed himself from the classroom.
