"Na-no-ka~" 

Familiar voices called out to me
through the clear glass of my bedroom window,
snapping me out of my momentary daze
and startling me back into the brevity and haste of the mornings.

"Ah- I'll be right there!"

I shouted back to assure the voices,
as I hurriedly slid on my freshly-cleaned school uniform
and checked myself in the mirror one last time.

No wrinkles on my skirt,

no unbuttoned buttons...

and no untied ribbons.

Okay, everything should be fine...
