After he finished telling the story,
Kame took a deep breath.
"It's a strange tale, isn't it?"

Shuu, on the other hand, seemed to have completely lost interest.

"Yawn. Who wants to have his/her soul inside a tree? That's ridiculous."

This statement aggravated Jun. 

"Hey, be respectful, you brat!"

He pulled on her cheeks mercilessly.

Meanwhile,

I contemplated the story overall.

"Together forever, huh?"

I mused to myself.

If Jun brought us here, knowing the legend and all...

maybe this was what he wanted to tell us.

Maybe...

this is his way of saying that he wanted the four of us to be happy together forever.
Although he would probably never admit it,
just the thought of it warmed my heart.

I stood up and quietly walked over to Jun.

Though he was still bickering with Shuu,
I knelt down next to him.

"Thank you, Jun-kun." I said.
