Over the years,
there have been some slight changes...
and also some things that have stayed the same.

Jun, for one,
has grown taller since our childhood days.

Back then,
he would have grieved over being considered the second shortest of the group.

But now, with his outstanding height,
he towered easily above all of us...even Kame (by only an inch or two though).
None of us were any match for this un-predicted growth spurt.
We never expected him to grow so tall in such a short time.
And by the time I had noticed it,
he was already a full head above me.
Granted, his hot-blooded and fiery personality hasn't changed one bit,
but...

The air around him felt different somehow.

He had definitely become more manly and dependable.

Always offering to walk me home whenever the sky turned dark,

always being the first one to pick me up in the mornings,

and always going out of his way to protect me.

But as of late,
he had also been more irritable and easily annoyed.
Perhaps it had something to do with his new-found love for sports.
Or maybe it was stress...

I wonder what it is...
