02 - Auradon

Ava and Harley exchanged contact information and they parted with a hug. Ava then approached her family and pulled Peter into a hug. "You doing okay?" "I'm holding up." Ava nodded and they made to leave when they heard someone calling for Ava. The three turned around and saw Nick Fury. Nick said nothing as he walked inside Tony's house. Ava looked over at Peter before slowly going up the stairs and into the house. Once inside, she saw Nick waiting for her in the living room. "Have a seat, Ms. Parker." She did as told and sat on the couch opposite of Nick. "Do you believe in fairytales?" Nick asked Ava. Ava was thrown off from the question before quickly gathering her thoughts.

"Sir, I've seen and fought aliens, I've been to outer space, and I'm friends with a talking raccoon named Rocket, who likes guns. I think I can handle fairytales being real." Nick chuckled at her snarkiness, immediately being reminded of someone.

"Stark left us something. He left you a mission, and me instructions in case he didn't come back." There was a pause, Nick wanting to see how Ava would react at Tony's name. When he saw no sign of distress, he continued.

"There's a place called Auradon. In that place, people like Mulan and the Fairy Godmother live there, along with their children. On an Island, not too far, all of the villains live there with their kids. Tony had found out that prince Ben, son of Belle and Adam, is going to be King soon, and he wants villain kids to live with them as his first proclamation."

"And you want me to go to make sure that no one dies? You're asking me to babysit?"

"After losing Stark, I would understand why you don't want to go, but Stark left this last mission for you, Ms. Parker. . . So what do you say?" Ava sighed and bit her lip. "Can I talk it over with my family?" Nick nodded and Ava left the house and found her twin and aunt.

"What did Fury want?" Peter asked.

"Tony gave me one last mission. He found out that Disney characters and stories are real, and the prince is going to be crowned King soon. The prince wants the children of villains to live with them - they live on an island - and he basically wants me to go and make sure everything goes smoothly."

"Okay."

"I just. . . I can't leave you guys."

"Sweetie, we can still call and text. Plus, I'm sure that we can visit too." Ava sighed and nodded. "But, I don't know how long I'll be gone for." Peter decided to take over.

"Ava. May and I love you. Tony left this for you, he wants you to do this. It's up to you, Ava, but know that you always have us no matter what."

Looking at the two in front of her one last time, she made a decision, and walked back into the house. Nick hadn't moved from his spot, and he looked up at Ava, waiting for her answer. Hoping that she won't regret her answer, Ava let out a sigh.

"When do I leave?"

One week later, Ava was packing everything up. They had found their things in a storage and Pepper was kind enough to buy them an apartment again. Ava was looking at the picture of her, Tony, and Peter together, and she smiled. She was pulled away from her thoughts when there was a knock. Turning around, she was met with MJ.

"MJ."

The two hugged and Ava was overwhelmed by the feeling of wanting to cry. Michelle noticed, so she pulled her best friend into another hug. "Why do you have to go?" "Because. . . Look, before I tell you why, I need to tell you something. MJ, I am Spiderwoman."

MJ's eyes widened. "Are you serious? I mean, I was like 54% sure that you were Spiderwoman but. . ." MJ trailed off as Ava grabbed hold of her bat with a web, and pulled it towards them. At this, MJ began to smile. "My best friend is a superhero!" Ava giggled and MJ pulled her into a hug.

"But you can't tell Peter that you know. Please. Not until the moment is right."

"I promise. Now, where and why are you going?"

Ava began packing again, and MJ began to help. Ava was thankful that she still had everything that Tony gave her. "Tony left me one last mission. Apparently, fairytale characters are real, and they live on an island called Auradon. The villains live on a smaller island. The prince is going to be King soon, and his first proclamation is to let some of the villain kids live with them."

"So you're babysitting?"

Ava giggled. "In a way. The thing is, I don't know for how long I'll be gone." MJ frowned but nodded. "Promise that we'll keep in touch?"

"Of course. You're my best friend." The two smiled and hugged. A knock filled the air and the two girls turned to see aunt May. "Sorry, but we have to go. Happy is here." Ava nodded and the two stood up. Everyone helped Ava with her bags and Ava hugged MJ and Ned one last time.

"I'll see you guys soon."

"Stay safe."

"Always."

"Ms. Parker, we're about to arrive."

Ava nodded at the pilot and everyone put on their seatbelts. As they flew over the island, Ava and Peter held hands. The jet began to descend and soon enough, they had landed. Everyone got up and the door opened. Ava walked out first with Peter and May following her. Happy then followed the family and the pilots were behind him, carrying most of Ava's things.

"Welcome to Auradon. We'll get the rest of your bags." Three guards walked into the jet and soon came out with the rest of Ava's bags. The other three guards then took the rest and they left the royal family, the Parker family, and Happy.

The Parker family were looking around in awe, but the twins were also looking around for any sign of possible danger. Ava's fingers would hover over her ring every once in a while.

"Welcome. I'm King Adam. This is my wife, Belle, and our son Ben."

Happy noticed Ava's hesitation, so he stepped forward for her. "Hi, I'm Happy Hogan. That's Ava, her brother Peter, and their aunt, May." Ava offered the royal family a shy smile and they all smiled back. "Well, I think it'd be better if we all talk inside," said Adam. Everyone nodded and they followed the royal family over to the castle.

Ava and Peter looked around in awe, but they also looked around for many ways to escape. They entered a room to what looked to be like for meetings, and they all sat down.

"Ava, our guards dropped your things off at your house," Adam started. "About two months ago, Tony Stark had come and he built a house just for you. . . Where is he, anyway? I thought he would be joining us." At the mention of Tony, the twins and Happy went stiff. Ava quickly found Peter's hand and began to grip it as she cleared her throat.

"Tony Stark passed away a week ago."

"Oh. . . Oh, I'm so sorry," said Belle.

Ava gave her a forced smile before shrugging on her sunglasses. Feeling the tensed atmosphere, Adam turned to his son. "Ben. Why don't you show Ava and Peter around? I'm sure Ava would want to get to know Auradon, and I'd figure that Peter never leaves her side?"

"Hardly," answered May, trying to lighten up the atmosphere. Ben noticed the situation and nodded. He stood up and the twins followed him.

"So," said Ben, "are you guys really the Spider Twins?" The two stopped walking, and Ben saw them slowly freaking out. "Don't worry! While Tony was here, he explained how you guys are superheroes and how you're also Avengers. That's why he suggested that Ava should come here. Oh, and it's only me, my family, and Fairy Godmother that know. No one else knows. Not even my girlfriend." Ava let out a sigh of relief and she felt as if she could breathe again. "That's good to know. So. . . Where will I be staying?" Ben smiled, finally hearing Ava talk. "Right this way. I'll give you some history of Auradon." After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at a very modern house.
