~Rainbow Steve's POV~

Me and Sabre were just chilling in the living room area, when Jett comes running into the room. "Sabre!"

Sabre jerks his attention to Jett, not even caring that I was in the middle of talking to him. "What'd you find out, Jett?"

"Around town, I heard people talking about a man that fit the description of Mogi, sir," Jett responds. Confused, I don't say anything.

"Well, Rainbow Steve," Sabre looks over at me, a grin on his face. "Would you like to experience your first mission with me?"

Seeing as I can't really say no, I just nod. "Great," Sabre grins. "Everyone else, me and the new recruit are going to go deal with a pest, once and for all," Sabre yells, then quickly leaving the base.

Hesitantly, I follow him. If you don't, you could get yourself killed I remind myself, making myself soon catch up to Sabre.

"Glad you could catch up," is all Sabre says, then climbing on top of a roof.

I look up for a minute, knowing he wants me to follow. I jump up, pulling myself up the bit that I didn't make. "Come on, hurry," Sabre snaps, clearly growing impatient with me.

Groaning, I follow him, but soon he jumps onto another building. Taking a deep breath, I look at the jump. If I don't make it, I'm going to fall off the roof, onto the hard stone ground under me. If I don't do it, on the other hand, Sabre could possibly kill me.

I take a deep breath, looking at the jump for a moment before jumping forward.

Somehow, I land the jump without falling, continuing to trail behind Sabre. "How do you do this every day?" I ask, panting. He just shrugs.

"It's not hard, just keep quiet," Sabre hisses slightly, and I hesitantly nod. I continue to follow him, looking at the view of the sky. It just became morning not long ago, so the sun is just starting to rise.

I take another glance over in Sabre's direction, before following him once again. I think back on my past, back when I would look into the sky almost every day with my brother, Light Steve. Me and him haven't seen each other in years; not since our parents divorced and each of us got taken by one parent.

Light Steve got our dad, while I got our mom. Don't get me wrong, they both are great parents, but they just, weren't meant for each other.

"Rainbow Steve, hurry," Sabre ended up coming back, and I nod.

"Sorry, I was just, thinking," I say softly, and he groans.

"Just hurry," Sabre snaps, and I go after him.

Eventually, me and Sabre found the guy, and Sabre attempted to kill him. Unsure of what to do, I ended up just standing there in the shadows, confused. The guy, Mogi, eventually got away, and I sigh.

Sabre groans in annoyance, running his hands through his hair quickly. "Damn it!" is the only thing he says.

We end up heading back, though staying slow. As we start going by the town square, I see a ton of people gathered. "What's that?" I ask curiously.

"Probably some announcement. You can go down and listen to it if you want," Sabre groans. Nodding, I jump down onto the ground, hiding in the shadows to listen.

"Is there a sir Rainbow Steve here?" a voice asks, looking around at the crowd. I stay quiet, just continuing to hide.

"Nobody? Well, if anyone sees a sir Rainbow Steve, we just received news about his brother. The brother, Light, apparently passed away."

My heart sinks, and I bite back the tears that formed in my eyes. Without even taking a glance at Sabre, I just take off running, off in a direction that I don't know what lies in.
