SEASON 4: GHOST
Taro... where do I start with this guy? One minute, he's talking about training, the next, he's having PTSD about his timeline. We decided that we have to help this guy, but we didn't know how. I was taking a walk when Taro joined me.
"You mind if I walk with you? I need someone to talk to." I obliged, as my future self walked next to me, sword and all. I tried starting a conversation, but he didn't seem very chatty. He just looked down, contemplating something. This went on for several hours. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed gim and shook him, screaming:
"DUDE, FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD IN THE WORLD, STOP BEING DEPRESSED!" After that, he got the picture and snapped out of his funk.
"Sorry. I was just thinking of my time and how it will be after we beat Red. Will it be destroyed still or will it be restored to it's original state?" I'll be honest, I didn't know how to answer it. I turned to him, genuine confusion on my face.
"I'll be honest, I don't know. What was your timeline like? Every timeline is different. What was yours like?" I asked. He started tearing up.
"Our timelines are parallel: nearly identical in every way. The major event that starts diversion between the two is Red. In my timeline, he was strong enough to beat Ultra Instinct when I was in my coma. It was Mina who beat him by..." he started to snicker.
"...by shaking my head! How embarrassing! Anyway, until Red destroyed the tower, almost everything was the same. Then he came along and ruined everything." He said, his voice breaking.
"How did he get so strong?" I asked. He looked heartbroken.
"He... he stole my daughter's soul." He said shakily. I was shocked. Daughter? I have a daughter? When did that happen? He then pulled out a picture of himself, Future Mina, and his daughter.
"Her name was Melody, and she was my little angel. She inherited both our quirks along with her own: a voice so beautiful, when she sang, it put people to sleep, but when she screamed, her sonic screech could shatter glass and weaken metal. She was so sweet and perfect. But when Red took her soul, he gained our powers from her and hers as well. With her powers and his combined, he was unstoppable, and with each hero he killed, he stole their souls and absorbed their power. We can't stop him in the future, but we can stop him here. Melody hasn't been born in this timeline yet, so he'll be weaker right off the bat!" He said, trying to change the subject. I looked at the picture again. Future Mina had a grey streak of hair in front of her left horn, and her hair was longer and smooth.
"How was Mina like? YOUR Mina." I asked him. He looked at me with sadness in his eyes.
"She... she was my soul mate. She understood me and I her. I loved her more than anything in the world." He said, wiping his eyes. I tried to comfort him. He started to cry.
"And now I can never see her again!" I decided to do something. I teleported us back to the tower, dropping him off with Izuku to talk to him. I searched his room for anything that could cheer him up when I found it: a song written by Melody for him.
"Jackpot. This is just what I need." I said under my breath.
(One week later)
Izuku, Mina and I had been practicing the song Melody wrote: Izuku on keytar and synthesizer, Mina on drums and vocals, and myself as the lead vocals. Purple had made an LMD (life model decoy) of Future Mina yo give to Taro as a gift. Tsuyu brought Taro in as we all set up.
"Alright, everyone. This is it. No turning back now." I said. The curtain parted as I gave the countdown.

Mina started playing, then Izuku joined in perfectly. Then I started singing the lyrics.
"Cuz the world might do me in,
it's alright 'cuz I'm with friends.
Cuz I'm giving up again,
it doesn't matter.
And I'm feeling like a ghost,
and it's what I hate the most.
Cuz I'm giving up again,
But this time...
Mina created a double and walked over to the mic next to me.
(Mina singing will be italicized, like this)
"This time, I might just disappear.
Oh yeah!
This time, I might just disa-"
That's when the lights started to flicker and a ghostly voice started scatting to the music. We kept playing as a ghostly figure appeared above the stage. It had long pink hair, yellow eyes and horns protruding from it's head... wait. I know who this ghost is. Taro turned and gasped.
"Mina? Is that you?" He asked. The ghost shook it's head yes. She flew over to the stage to join us singing.
"This time, I might just disappear!
Oh yeah!
This time, I might just disa-" Future Mina started scatting again, as she only had her skull and top jaw. I called to Purple.
"Purple! Get the LMD! Future Mina needs a body!" He ran in with the LMD as Future Mina flew into it, possessing the lifeless android. Her eyes opened as Taro stared in happiness.
"You kept your promise..." Future Mina said as Taro hugged her, tears of joy in his eyes. She got up and they started slow dancing, even though our song wasn't a slow dance song. We continued our song.
"Try to hear me, then I'm done,
Cuz I might just say this once.
Seen this played out in my dream.
It doesn't matter.
So I'm giving up the ghost,
For it's you I love the most.
And there is no guarantee
It doesn't matter." Future Mina got up on stage, dragging Taro with her.
"This time I might just disappear." Future Mina started as Present Mina finished.
"Oh yeah!
This time I might just disa-" Future Mina started scatting again.
"This time I might just disappear!
Oh yeah!
This time I might just disappear!" The song finished as we looked at Taro and Future Mina. We decided to give them some time and went to bed for the night.
