Paranoia
The Icecream Man
And his stellar tones
Portal me to the past
Where toothbrushes
Were soldiers
And my bare feet
Loved the grass
The ants were enemy troops
The bees were fighter jets
The spider webs were traps
The spider spies would set
The anthills were their bases
Their beehives courting death
Web work for interrogation
It was war against the best
Now I war with worn out shoes
And a noose about my neck
My trousers keep on falling
My shirts no longer fit
Now icecream is a luxury
I don't have time to get
Plus the icecream man seems creepy
Like he's really selling crystal meth
You know, maybe I should ask him
Why he always looks so out of breath
Was icecream just a cover?
What else will I find out next?
Did my kindergarten teacher
Really like my poems then?
And did you really love me
Or was I actually just a friend?
You didn't want to hurt me
So you lied to me till the end?
Relax, I'm just joking
Suffocating, choking
Unbelievable! This betrayal
You're the only one I had hope in
The icecream man is no angel
Teaching is just a job
The icecream song irritates me
Like this tattoo of you on my arm
The icecream man is an angel
Teaching is done by the strong
The icecream song liberates me
Like thoughts of you keep me warm
Boiling in fact
Revenge will descend on you
Like a storm
Just you wait
Ice cream man
Just you wait
