Puffercats

STATUS: CLOSED

APPERANCE: They are cat-sized with a spiked mid-section that can inflate when they swallow water. They have a small, fish-like tail.

SIZE: They are the size of an average cat.

HABITAT: In shallow, warm waters by the shore.

ADVANTAGES: Their spikes are poisonous, they can inflate themselves to make them look larger and fiercer than they really are.

WEAKNESSES: Once they are inflated, the can't move quickly

DIET: Mainly small fish, oysters, crabs and other small sea creatures.

LIFE CYCLE: Puffercats lay hundreds of eggs which are placed into shallow, underwater caves. When they hatch, they are expected to care for themselves and will leave for the ocean when they are nearly adults. They will come back to their hatching spot to breed.

SOCIALITY: They are solitary creatures and will only congregate in masses during breeding season.

USUAL TEMPERAMENT: They are neutral, however, when anyone gets close to them, they start to inflate themselves.

ABILITIES: Inflation, poisionous spikes, able to breathe underwater
