STATUES: CLOSED

APPEARANCE: These creatures are large deers with branch-like horns and ominous glowing eyes. No one has seen what their fur looks like...

SIZE: They are tall as trees.

HABITAT: They live in large, dense woodlands where they can easily be concealed.

ADVANTAGES: They are very sneaky; the most anyone has seen, and lived to tell the tale, was that they had large glowing eyes, they are carnivores and will eat whoever or whatever they come across.

WEAKNESSES: No one knows.

DIET: They are mostly carnivores. They are active after dark. Any creature that happens to be outside and in the path of their rampage, they will certainly die a gruesome death.

LIFE CYCLE: No one is absolutely sure, but they do know that Lurklets, babies of Lurkers, are much more passive than their adult counterparts.

SOCIALITY: These are solitary creatures and will only meet during breeding season or when they accidentally clash. When this happens, loud, eerie, haunting tones can be heard from miles away.

USUAL TEMPERMENT: They are very hostile and wouldn't hesitate to take a bite out of you.

ABILITIES: Are as large as trees and so can kill you easily but perhaps the most mysterious thing is that no one knows how such a large creature can stay hidden for so long during the day. No one has discovered a Lurker in daytime.

ORIGIN:

A mysterious traveler beside a village said that they should keep their children from the forest after dark, he said that ancient beings lurked there and should not be interfered with. He told gathering people that there were deers as large as trees and wouldn't hesitate to gobble them up if they ventured out into the forest after dark. Everyone thought that he was joking, but they used it as a tale to scare their children and prevent them from sneaking out of the house at night.

This didn't work for every child of course. One morning, arms and legs and a bloody mess were found near the edge of the forest. This child happened to be the first known victim of a Lurker. The villagers knew that the traveler wasn't joking and used the mangled child as evidence of Lurkers.
