So as a few of you know(Snowy and whoever read my first book "A different shadow") my OCs Lightning, Darcel, Doll, (and my sister's OC) CakeCup are in their own little group.

They travel to all kinds of places together. But when Darcel and Doll were kits their adoptive mother tried to bring them into her old clan. The clan rejected them so they ended up just wandering together as their own mini clan.

But in this AU they were accepted into the clan but at a horrible cost. When Doll came of age she would be the alpha's mate.

Years later, after Echo(Darcel's and Doll's adoptive mother) passed and Doll had been the alpha female for years, my OC Lightning and CakeCup (my sister's OC) joined the pack.

The four knew each other as kits but weren't able to play together as much since Darcel and Doll joined the pack.

Doll made CakeCup her main beta(like her right hand man(but she's a female)(and also a shadow cat)).

Darcel (because of Doll) had a high ranking in the pack. He asked Lightning to be his mate and she happily accepted. But this also caused some problems.

Lightning was the main trouble maker of the pack. She spoke out against the alpha male. The alpha male(Shadowed soul(I think it was)) was very strict and had terrible rules. If you spoke out you were either killed or exiled.

But because of Darcel and Doll's high ranks she was allowed to stay. But she was given a very low rank. Being her mate lowered Darcel's reputation greatly. But he didn't care.

One morning Lightning heard Shadowed soul talking to one of his biggest followers about how he was going to mate Doll later for pups. This was the last straw. Lightning knew Doll hated him and definitely didn't want his pups.

So as soon as Shadowed heart was about to go to his den Lightning attacked him infront of the whole pack.

She aimed to kill him so she shook off anyone that tried to pull her off of him. Until finally someone did pull her off.

Shadowed soul he immediately tried to attack her her back but Doll stood in between them. She told the clan how unjust he was and how they should open their eyes and not accept him as their alpha.

Many of the animals agreed with her. But Shadowed soul and the little bit of followers he had left banished the rest of the pack. Darcel, Doll, Lightning, CakeCup, and the ones who agreed with them left with them.

They made their own pack and set up their territory a little bit away from Shadowed soul's territory. They made plans to attack and kill him and hopefully open the eyes of everyone else.

There was another route this AU could of taken. I've actually had this one in my head for a while now.

During a battle (when Lightning and CakeCup first joined Shadowed soul's pack) Lightning's opponent slit her throat and pushed her into a rushing river.

Everyone assumed she was dead.

But months later CakeCup was out hunting. She was on the far edges of the territory to think about stuff. When suddenly she was confronted by her supposed dead sister.

She was overwhelmed with joy to see that her little sister was alive but also pissed that Lightning let everyone think she was dead.(okay now I'm gonna change the format into a one shot.)

CakeCup's POV

I hissed at the shocked Lightning.

"Where were you?! You let everyone mourn your death and didn't give any sign that you were alive! Why are you back? You obviously don't care for us."

"It's not like that! After I was pushed into that river I was still living. I healed myself with what little power I had left. After I pulled myself onto land​ and rested I started making my way back here. But I had forgotten how much I love to travel and feel free. So I took a few detours until I finally made my way back here. I know why I did was wrong but I couldn't help myself. I'm just not meant for a pack." She finished explaining, looking at the ground.

I sighed. "Yes, what you did was wrong but I understand. You're a free spirit. But the clan needs you. So come on." I laid my long tail across her shoulders.

As I started walking away I felt Lightning pull away from my grip.

"I'm sorry but, I can't go back. I came back to tell you that I'm alive and well. But I can't go back there. I want you to come with me! And before you say anything, bring Darcel and Doll here tonight. I want to talk to them too."

🌹Later that night🌹

Lightning explained everything to Darcel and Doll too. Darcel was heartbroken because she wouldn't come back but hid it with anger. He stalked back to the pack and Doll and I followed as Lightning turned to leave the territory.

Darcel's POV

As I continued to walk back I heard depressed sighs behind me. I looked to see that CakeCup and Doll had stopped walking and we're looking at the ground.

"Come on, guys. We have to get back to the pack." I tried to make sure my voice didn't waiver.

Doll and CakeCup looked up at me with unimpressed looks. I sighed and looked back at Lightning's retreating form.

I was making the right decision.

I jumped off of a huge rock and ran infront of the others. Lightning was trying to run infront of me while CakeCup and Doll were staying behind us.

We had decided to run away with Lightning. And she was right. It feels good to be free.
