"Hey yura, over here!"

I turned around to see Kangjoon waving at me, so naturally I waved back heading towards the table where he had all the books we needed splayed out in front of him. Was I that late?

"I'm sorry for being so late. Did I make you wait too long?" I asked feeling beyond embarrassed. I thought I was only a few minutes late.

"No don't worry you're not late, I got here a bit early so I can get some of my work done" He said giving me his signature smile that could make any one melt right at the spot, including me if i had to add.

"So have you done your part yet?" He asked pulling out a chair so I can sit. My heart fluttered a bit at the action but I ignored it.

"I still have some finishing touches to add" I said feeling like my face was on fire. Why am I so damn awkward?

"Thats cool" he nodded.

"Is it okay for me to give you Sunhee's part? You know since she won't be doing the project with us anymore"

"Yeah okay"

"So what I'm hearing is, you'll be doing Mina's part?" As much as I trusted that he'll work, I had to check.

"That is correct" he sighed before continuing "Now how about we continue discussing the project?"

And so I got my books and laptop out and just as we were about to begin, an announcement played through the public library's speakers.

'We are very sorry to announce that the library will be closing up due to some security problems. Please exit the library in an orderly fashion. Thank you.'

"What was that?" Kangjoon said confusion evident all over his face.

"I don't know, we could ask a staff member on our way out if you want?" I said as I was putting my stuff back in my bag again.

"Okay lit"

We picked up our stuff and headed out. As we were doing so kangjoon stopped one of the security guards.

"Excuse me sir, do you know why they're closing up?"

"Someone stole some expensive books earlier that were supposed to be launched to a bidding." He explained.

Kangjoon thanked the officer and looked back at me.

"Why would they even keep expensive books in the public library?" He laughed "Thats honestly so dumb, its like they were asking for it."

"I know right" I said agreeing with him. I mean it is a public library after all.

"So where are we supposed to study now?" He asked.

"A coffee shop maybe?"

"I forgot my wallet at home" he said with a frown.

"Let's just go to one of our houses" he said looking at me "Preferably your house"

"Why mine?" I asked confused at his choice. Honestly I don't mind having him at my house (for all the wrong reasons) but its weird that he'd want to be there.

"Chanmi's home, she's on her period and would kill anyone in sight" he laughed.

"Who's Chanmi?" I asked, already knowing the answer because of the non stop gossip at the beginning of the year. I just wanted to hear it from him.

"She's my girlfriend"

"How come you're living with your girlfriend at such a young age?"

"Well chanmi isn't exactly like us, she's older and has a job" he said trying not to give too much away but I couldn't help it. I was curious.

"Oh what does she do for a job?" I asked trying to act like I knew nothing.

"She's a teacher" he said looking at me in a way I couldn't understand.

"She even used to work at our school up until last year" he continued without having me asking him to.

"Why did she leave?" I asked not sure of the answer this time.

"She got fired"

"You'll ask why, won't you?" He asked making me blush and look away. I think he knows that I've been fishing up the actual storyーI was only doing that because I was curious, he probably knows that I won't be telling anyone even if I wanted to since I was the loner of the school.

"You see last year me and chanmi had kind of an affair and got found out"

"Chanmi got fired and I got expelled. So she has a job that pays less and I'm repeating my senior year"

"I guess love really does come at a price" he said looking into the distance. This moment was honestly so corny but he was right to an extent. Everything comes at a price.

I nodded understandingly even though I didn't understand what he was going through, it just felt like the appropriate response to give.

Soon we were standing at my front door. I stood on the door step trying to get my keys out of the garbage can that I call my bag. As I was reaching for them I lost my balance and tripped off the steps.

Thankfully kangjoon was standing behind me so he held me before I fell. I swear if someone were to see the position we were in, they'd think it was part of a kdrama.

Unlike kdramas our moment ended just as it started with me mumbling a 'thanks' and getting flustered and him shaking his head and chuckling at my response. He then helped me get on my feet and this time I fished out my keys fast (thankfully).

We got in the house which was not so messy since me and my dad go directly from our rooms into the kitchen and then out of the houseーI then practically dragged kangjoon into the living room where I told him to take a seat so he wouldn't catch sight of our messy kitchen.

"Want something to eat?" I've never had someone over so I was awkward with all of this.

"Sure, what do you have?"

"We have homemade chocolate cake" That made me remember that my mum was coming back home tonight for some odd reason. I better clean the kitchen after Kangjoon leaves.

"Its stuffed with melted chocolate" I said thinking it was an important piece of information to know about the cake.

"No thanks, I'm not really into cake or chocolate for that matter."

Is he normal?

"Okay then"

"Let's just start working" he said patting the seat next to him.

And so we started working and came up with some really great ideas if I do say so myself. Kangjoon was honestly really good at the whole searching up information thing.

I started typing in points for our presentation on my laptop and Kangjoon was reading a book about the topic assigned to us. It was all so quiet and nice until I felt a vibration in my pocket.
