The gala was a month away. Harry texted Louis the details not too long after the omega accepted his request. Three days went by of Harry and Louis texting each other and having short conversations.
It all changed when Louis woke up one day to a text from the alpha.
Harry: what are you doing today? I wanna take you shopping for something to wear at the gala.
Louis immediately responded.
Louis: you don't have to do that.
Harry: I insist. What are you doing today?
Louis: nothing, I guess. Possibly hanging out with a cocky, self centered alpha.
Harry: cocky? ;)
Louis: shut the fuck up.
Harry: send me your address
Harry: I'll pick you up at 12 :)
Louis then huffed, falling back on his bed. He has no idea what he's gotten himself into.
-
Louis had the urge to walk over to a local coffee shop and make Harry pick him up. His flat wasn't the best, completely run down compared to Harry's luxurious apartment. But when Louis thought more about it, he really didn't care what Harry thought about him. There were no romantic feelings, so there was no point in caring about what Harry thought of him.
Harry pulled up to the flat complex, double checking his phone to make sure it was the correct destination. When it was, his heart sank. There were broken windows and homeless people crowding the ally nearby. Harry decided to turn off his car and step out once he noticed one of the iron stairways was broken in half.
As the alpha locked his car and made his way to the flat, he called Louis on his phone.
"Hey, Harry," Louis' beautiful voice filled Harry's ears.
"Hi, Lou," Harry rushes out and cringes at the lobby. There's no one at the front desk, which is just made out of cheap wood that is chipping off. The wallpaper is also peeling back, revealing dull, gray brick walls. "I'm in the lobby," Harry says. He nearly jumps when he thinks he sees a rat out of the corner of his eye.
Louis gasps. "Oh no, you should be with your car!"
"No, it's fine," Harry insists. "I'd rather make sure you're safe—"
"I'm here at this complex everyday," Louis points out. "Your sports car isn't."
Harry furrows his eyebrows, not getting what Louis is hinting at. When he does, Harry gasps and sprints out the lobby towards his car. "Hey, stop!" Harry shouts at two men crouched near his tires. The men drop their tools and run far away, forgetting about the expensive tires.
Once Harry's caught his breath, he looks down at his phone to see Louis ended the call. He felt a pang of guilt once he realized he jumped to protect his car rather than the omega he's been pining over. Harry's guilt diminishes when he hears Louis giggle behind him.
Surprised, Harry turns around to a beaming omega. "I see you managed to save your tires," Louis comments.
"I'm so sorry," Harry apologizes. "I was gonna come get you—"
"It's fine," Louis assures. "I live here. I'm not some helpless, fragile omega like you make me out to be." Louis' tone was now less playful, but not fully annoyed.
Harry's eyes widen. "I didn't mean it like that—"
Louis interrupts again, "I know. I'm kind of kidding."
Harry shakes his head, opening the door for Louis and shutting it for him. Once Harry gets inside and starts the car, he points out, "you said kind of."
"Uh huh." Louis nods.
"Well, I don't think that about you at all," Harry clarifies. Louis scoffs, making Harry continue, "I really don't."
The rest of the ride was silent.
-
The omega closed his eyes during the ride, pretending to be asleep. It was actually difficult to keep his eyes shut for so long when he wasn't sleeping. When he heard the car turn off, he immediately sat up and looked around.
Louis couldn't even give the name of the mall, as they were on the rich side of town. "Harry!" Louis gasps. "I can't afford anything here."
Harry frowns and opens the car door before stepping out. "Who said you were paying?"
Louis managed to open his own door before Harry could get to it, stumbling out of the car. "Y-You can't pay for me," Louis says.
Harry shrugs and locks the car. "I can and I will."
"Why?" Louis wonders out loud, walking out of the parking lot with Harry and into the mall.
"Well, you are my date." Harry smirks.
Louis just huffs and decides not to argue, realizing Harry already has his mind set on this.
"I'm going to get you the best outfit I can find," Harry promises. "But you'll look breathtaking in everything."
Louis blushes and wonders how he ended up having such a charming alpha pining after him.
-
Harry ended up buying the omega several outfits, all from luxurious brands. The alpha didn't even buy outfits just for the gala, anything that caught Louis' eye.
Louis felt bad about it, but Harry was persistent and there was nothing he could do.
"I can't believe you spent so much money on me," Louis mutters once they're in the car.
Harry shrugs it off. "You're worth it. Also, I can afford it."
"Can you?" Louis quirks an eyebrow. "Hard to believe since you're only working the register at a bakery."
Harry groans playfully, rolling his eyes. "I own the company! I just like being more involved with the locations."
Louis shrugs his shoulders, smirking. "I dunno."
Harry comes to a stop with the car, then does a u-turn. Louis furrows his eyebrows to which Harry quickly replies, "fine; I'll just show you my office."
-
Louis was still in awe of the building as the two walked into the lobby. There was no way Harry worked in a place as upscale as this.
The omega's attention was soon averted to the receptionist, who began speaking to Harry. The receptionist had dark brown hair and hazel eyes with tan skin. Louis could tell he was an omega, which for some odd reason, sparked a bit of jealousy.
As Harry and Louis walked into the elevator and Harry pressed the button, Louis convinced himself it was nothing. Little does he know, Harry and the receptionist have fucked in the alpha's office numerous times.
Even though Louis was mainly teasing Harry, he was beginning to believe Harry was the CEO. Especially when they stepped into the office and Louis was once again in awe.
Harry smirks at the boy, closing the door behind him. "Believe me now?"
The way Harry is leaning against the door and holds such dominance makes Louis slightly aroused. Louis clears his throat before saying, "th-thank you for today."
Harry shakes his head. "No problem, I—"
"No, but really," Louis insists. "C-Could I show you how thankful I am?"
Harry frowns. "You don't have to pay me back—"
Louis rolls his eyes and giggles a little. "No," Louis chuckles and walks over to Harry, brushing his hand over the alpha's crotch. "Let me show you, daddy."
