NEXT CHAPTER

Louis doesn't stir for three days, it's touch and go, he's pale and sick and Harry and Scott are beside themselves with worry.

"His body is weak, it's going to take time but he's stable boys, get some sleep" Dan tells Harry and Scott when he comes in to check on Louis.

"We can't, what if something happens and we're asleep" Harry says.

"Louis is in the ICU, which means he's monitored 24/7, any slight change and we are notified, we will wake you" Dan reassures.

Harry and Scott look to each other unsure.

"You have my word boys" Dan tells them.

The boys both nod, they are on edge, mark and the twins are still out there somewhere and Edward and Drew are getting nowhere with the interrogations of the rest of the pack back at the beauro.

Before Harry and Scott can move to get settled, Louis stirs on the bed. They rush over and Dan is beside Louis as well, checking his vitals.

"Louis, darling, baby, it's all okay" Scott tells him as he reaches out and swipes Louis fringe off his forehead.

"Ughh" Louis groans as he opens his eyes.

"It's okay, we're here sweetheart" Harry reassures.

Louis is confused and disorientated, he can't remember much. He sits up in bed and takes the oxygen out of his nose.

"It's okay Lou, relax, you're safe" Dan reassures.

"I want to leave" Louis says as he tries to push the blankets off.

"Hey, baby, look at us" Scott tells him gently.

Louis stops and looks towards Harry and Scott

"Good boy" Harry tells him as he cups his face.

"You're okay, alright, we're here, you're safe just relax your breathing for us" Scott tells him.

Louis calms down as he really takes in his surroundings. He's not in a basement, and Harry and Scott are really here.

"That's it, good job baby" Harry tells him.

"I...I'm scared" Louis tells them vulnerably.

"We know, but we won't let anything happen to you" Scott tells him.

"What happened?" Louis asks.

Scott and Harry look to Dan

"What do you remember bud?" Dan asks.

"Just, um, Noah, is he okay?" Louis asks.

"Noah is fine Lou, he helped us get you back, he's safe." Harry tells him.

Louis relaxes knowing Noah is safe.

"I remember being taken but I can't remember much else" Louis tells them.

"That's okay bud, you were drugged up so you might not remember what happened. It's all normal" Dan tells him.

"It was my dad?" Louis asks confused

"It was Lou, we're so sorry" Scott tells him.

"What happened to him?" Louis asks.

Harry and Scott look towards each other, unsure how they should approach this.

Harry sighs.

"He is still on the run Lou" Harry tells him.

At that, Louis gets worked up and his breathing picks up.

"He's going to come back and kill me" Louis panics.

"He won't get near you baby" Scott tells him.

"Just relax, it's okay, no one is coming anywhere near you" Harry tells him.

Louis tears come then, and Harry and Scott can't bare it. They hop into Louis bed on either side and they comfort him back to sleep. They scent him and calm him and Louis falls back to a dreamless sleep against his strong alphas.

The next time Louis wakes he's a lot more calm, Harry and Scott spend the next few days feeding Louis soup and trying to get his strength back up. His body feels the lead and he has trouble sitting up for long periods of time and his first shower was spent crying as he latched on to Scott because he couldn't stand up.

"It will take time to get your strength back, it's okay Lou" Harry tells him as he sits on the end of the bed having just helped shower and change Louis.

"It's not okay, I feel like a burden, I can't move properly and I'm scared. Everytime I fall asleep I'm scared I'm going to wake up back in that place" Louis says as he wipes a tear.

"Sweetheart, it's going to take time and that's ok, we've arranged for you to talk to one of our councillors at work, she specialises in this sort of thing. She will be able to really help you" Scott tells him.

"And you have us Lou, we're not going anywhere, we will get you through this" Harry says.

"But...I'm always going to be a white wolf Harry, people are always going to want my blood" Louis says.

"Listen, it's never going to be made public that you're a white wolf, we will protect you and your privacy sweetheart, as your alphas we will keep you safe. You don't need to worry about anything like that okay" Harry reassures.

"But, my dads still out there" Louis tells them upset.

"And we will find him, we have everyone out looking for him and the twins. They won't get far" Scott says.

"I don't want to go to university anymore, I'm to scared to leave the house. I wanted to be independent and wanted my own career and now I just don't want any of it. I want to hide away and never come out" Louis says vulnerably.

Harry and Scott get in next to Louis, they hold him close and wipe his tears.

"You listen to us and you listen good. You are our omega, ours to love and protect and look after, our job as your alphas is to make sure you're happy and spoilt and have a beautiful stress free life. We know we haven't gotten off to the best of starts, but Louis, we are here and we will help you achieve whatever you want to do" Scott tells him.

"We love you endlessly and we promise to be here and be the best alphas ever" Harry says.

Louis wipes his tears

"I love you" Louis tells them.

"And we love you so much little one" Harry tells him with a kiss to his forehead.

"You're our little wolf, and we love you baby" Scott tells him.

Louis ends up falling asleep peacefully and Harry and Scott are just so grateful Louis is okay. They will never take him for granted again and thank their lucky stars they have a second chance with him.
