"Don't even think about arguing with us kiddo, we've made our minds up" Louis eldest brother Andy says.

"This is so unfair, why do you guys treat me like a child" Louis says frustrated.

"You're omega Louis, a male omega who's just presented and we need to protect you, it's our job" Drew says.

"You're our little brother Lou, we are doing what's best for you" Edward tells Louis.

Edward, Andy and Drew are Louis three older brothers, Andy is 32, Edward 30 and Drew, 28. Edward and Drew are detectives while Andy is an ambulance officer. All three boys are tall, intimidating and good looking Alphas. Their mother died giving birth to Louis and not long after their dad went rogue. They have raised Louis alone, ever since, and have never divulged the reason their dad up and left.

Louis has just turned 18 and presented as omega, he is a tiny gorgeous boy with blue eyes and feathery brown hair. Everything about Louis is petite and cute, not to mention male omegas are extremely rare.

Louis is studying to be an architect and is in his first year of university. His friends are not who the boys approve of and they don't want Louis hanging around them often. Louis wants to head to a house party with them and the boys are not keen on letting Louis go.

"This is so unfair, can I not ever have any fun" Louis asks upset.

The boys know they are being hard on Louis, but his safety is number one. He hasn't even had a heat and still smells so new and innocent.

"We're sorry Louis, it's a no and that's our final answer" Drew says,

Louis sighs frustrated.

"God Louis, have some respect for your brothers and their decisions would you" Amy, Edwards mate says.

The boys are all mated, they found their soulmates and bonded, the girls live with Louis and his brothers.

Up until Louis presented he was okay with it all, even though his brothers don't give him as much attention as he's used too, he was fine. Now though, the smell of a nest that isn't his, the smell of their bonds can sometimes get too much for Louis. He can't really do much about it though, it's not like his brothers will let him get a place on his own now he's presented as omega.

The girls and Louis don't get on very well, Louis upset they have taken his brothers away and the girls upset that their mates give Louis too much attention.

"Shut up Amy" Louis says heatedly.

"Louis William, do not speak to Amy like that" Edward says.

Louis sighs as Amy smirks at him.

Louis doesn't know why he's even bothering, he leaves the Lounge room upset and heads to his room.

Louis understand his brothers protectiveness but it can be so annoying sometimes, at this rate he won't ever find his own soulmate. When an alpha sees their omega soulmate for the first time when they present as omega, they instantly know. 

For an omega though, they won't realise who their alpha is until they have their first heat.

Alphas, omegas and betas usually present around the age of 15 and have their first heat about six months to a year later. Louis, being so tiny and small was obviously a late bloomer and he only presented six months ago, his heat could be imminent or another six months away.

Louis reaches his room and lays on his bed, his brothers are very well off and Louis doesn't ask for much and never takes it for granted, unlike the girls who are always out shopping or something. As omegas the girls stay at home and keep house, while Louis respects the boys decisions to not allow their omegas to work, he hopes his mate lets him work, at least part time.

It's not safe for un mated omegas to be out by themselves after nightfall, so whatever job Louis gets he will have to get during certain hours. There are lots of jobs that support omegas though and society is very protective of them, it's the rouges and the underground slave and sex rings that are dangerous and omegas are always a target for the black market.

Louis sighs and rolls over, he is never allowed to do much and he's just sick of it, he gets up and goes to his attached ensuite, he showers and changes into grey sweats and a baby blue T-shirt, they swamp his tiny frame. He then goes downstairs in search for a drink. The house is quite big and Louis room is thankfully at the other end of the house to his brothers and their girls, his room being the only place that doesn't smell of them all.

It's a Friday night and the boys usually have their friends over, so Louis isn't surprised when he makes it to the kitchen and sees the boys best friends and Alphas, Jax, Ben and Dan drinking a beer while the boys cook dinner. Jax, Ben and Dan all have mates who must be off with the girls watching movies in their rooms or gossiping. Louis couldn't care less but it would be nice to be included sometimes.

"Hey!!! There he is, how are you kiddo" Dan says as he lifts Louis up and tickles him.

Louis laughs loudly and the boys watch on fondly.

"I'm good, I'm good" Louis says around a laugh.

Dan puts him down and the boys ruffle his hair, they all have a soft spot for Louis and would do anything for the kid. Having known them most of his life, Louis loves the boys friends and sees them as his brothers too.

The doorbell then rings and Drew asks Louis to go answer it. He knows who it's going to be, and he gets slightly nervous.

Louis walks towards the door slowly, he holds his breath and opens the door, he comes face to face with two alpha gods, Harry Styles and Scott Wolf. Both boys used to be Louis favourite they used to play with Louis when he was younger, and give him so much attention, Louis loved them to death. When he presented though, things changed and they hardly talk to Louis now and Louis hates himself for it, hates that his genetics have made him lose two of the most important people in his life.

"Hi there omega" Harry says, his voice even and controlled.

"Hi Harry" Louis says uncomfortably,

Louis doesn't know why but Harry and Scott's smell has always been so comforting for him, so special to him, he loves it and his inner omega wants to wrap himself up in their clothes and cuddle them all day long. Again, he hates himself for it.

"Everyone here?" Scott asks as he and Harry make a move to walk in past Louis.

"Yeah, in the kitchen" Louis says as he closes the door and follows them back inside.

Harry and Scott are together, which is not unusual for Alphas to be, they are mated and their soulmate will be the same for them both, when they find them.

They have omegas throwing themselves at them and they aren't shy talking about it. Louis hates listening about their latest conquests, he gets jealous and upset that he's been pushed aside and it hurts.

When he enters the kitchen again the boys are all greeting Harry and Scott, they are all laughing and joking and Louis misses the way Harry and Scott used to smile and laugh with him. They are both tall, muscly and just huge, with fit bodies and tattoos. Harry's hair is just above his ears while Scott's is short, they are both the picture of hot, dangerous and sexy. Both boys work at the bureau with Edward and Drew, Harry and Edward are head of homicide and run the unit where as Scott and Drew are head of drugs and sex trafficking. They are both hard and cold unless you know them really well, like the boys all do.

The boys all start talking and drinking and Louis gets bored, they are taking forever to cook and he wants to join in on the fun.

"Andy, can I have a beer too" Louis asks innocently.

They boys stop their conversations and Louis notices Harry and Scott glaring at him.

"Afraid not kiddo" Andy says sympathetically after looking towards Harry and Scott for some reason.

"What are you still doing awake Louis" Scott asks coldly.

Louis looks at him confused.

"It's 8pm, I'm not 7" Louis says like it's the stupidest question ever.

"Watch your tone omega" Harry says domineeringly.

Louis instincts tell him to bare his neck to Harry but he won't, he won't give Harry the satisfaction of having an effect on him.

"You're not my alpha, you can't tell me what to do" Louis says back upset.

Harry goes to say something but decides against it, he just looks at Louis coldly.

"Here you go kiddo" Drew than says as he starts serving up dinner. Louis is given a small bowl of food, where as the Alphas plates are loaded. The girls then come in and take their small bowls and head to the dining room, still gossiping.

"I'm not hungry Drew" Louis says as he pushes his plate aside.

There is a slight growl from Harry and Scott at Louis words but Louis takes no notice.

"Not this again Louis" Andy says sighing.

"Not What again?" Scott asks, his voice strong

The rest of the boys have moved into the lounge, leaving Louis, Andy, Scott, Drew and Harry in the kitchen.

"Louis, he's been skipping meals lately" Drew says.

Harry and Scott turn to Louis.

"Explain" Harry says coldly.

Louis looks at him confused.

"I'm not hungry" Louis says and he gets off his chair and heads for the door,

"Excuse me, do not walk away from me when I'm talking to you Louis" Harry says.

Harry hasn't said two words to Louis in forever, and now he's decided to act like an ass. Louis doesn't want to hear it.

"Oh so now you want to talk to me, you and Scott haven't spoken a single word or even looked at me in forever" Louis says and the boys can hear the hurt in his voice.

"Louis" Drew warns.

"This is so unfair, why can't I say that? Why can't I be upset that two of the most important people in my life just abandoned me. You know what, forget it, I'm always in the way, I'm always in trouble and I'm always the one in the wrong. Sorry Harry and Scott for speaking to you like that, sorry for not eating my dinner, sorry for asking to go to a party, sorry for fighting with the girls and making your lives harder and basically I'm sorry for even existing. Goodnight" Louis says upset and walks out of the room.

"Louis, that's not what we meant kid" Andy says after him.

Louis doesn't listen though and goes to his bedroom, away from all the smells and the noise, at least he can breathe.

When Louis is out of sight Andy turns to Harry and Scott.

"You guys have been dicks you know" Andy says.

Harry sighs and rubs his hands over his face.

"He's so vulnerable right now guys, he needs you" Drew says.

"We know, we do, it's just" Scott starts but shakes his head.

"When are you going to tell him?" Andy asks,

Harry and Scott have known for the last six months that Louis is in fact their soulmate. They have had a hard time adjusting to their feelings. They have never felt so strongly about someone, never wanted to protect someone as much as they do Louis. They are so used to bedding random omegas, no feelings attached and they know they have to stop and face their feelings for Louis. They felt like they needed time to get their heads around having a soulmate, and until Louis knows himself, they didn't see the point in telling him. Distancing themselves from Louis seemed like the right thing to do.

Scott and Harry sigh.

"You know we decided not to tell him before his first heat and he knows himself" Scott admits.

"Well we can't tell you guys what to do, but, Louis is stubborn and he's starting to act up because of us, he's feeling lonely and like we've abandoned him to be with our girls" Drew says.

"He has been our world for so long and over the past year he's had to share us and adapt to not being the centre of us and its starting to take its toll on him" Andy says.

"We know you guys aren't used to having feelings for someone other than each other and we know it's overwhelming how much your soulmate means to you, how much you have to care but, you guys have spent this last six months avoiding Louis and being close to him, we know he's young and we were all much older when we found our soulmates, but that doesn't mean he's any less of an omega" Drew says.

"We know, its just....we're not used to being vulnerable, trying to push our feelings aside until Louis was ready and old enough to understand seemed like the right thing to do. We know we have to grow up and become what he needs but it seems like such a big step that we thought we would be ready for, I just don't know if we are" Harry says.

"Harry, you're both head of the bureau, the best detectives we've seen in years, you take no shit from anyone, everyone who works for us is scared of you both. You both have all the highest, amazing qualifications an alpha could posses, we don't understand what's holding you guys back, Louis is an omega, your omega, the one person who you should understand and know the most in the world. Just give in to your instincts like you usually do and everything will be fine" Drew says smiling.

Harry and Scott sigh and nod, they know the boys are right but their emotions are everywhere, They just hope they can work out how to tone it all down and rein it all in and be the alphas Louis is going to need.

Louis lays on his bed, staring at the ceiling, he's trying to hold his tears in. As an omega his instincts want comfort and praise and safety, lately though, it feels like his whole world has shifted. The boys aren't as attentive and caring, in fact the boys rarely ask how his day is going, he rarely sees them as they work so much and if they aren't working, they are with their mates which is completely understandable, but Louis feels so lost. Now Harry and Scott don't talk to him and he hates it, his inner omega tells him he's not worthy, he's not good enough, that he's worthless and that's something he can't deal with very well.

Louis seems to have lost his appetite too, even though he's never really eaten a lot and he's so tiny, he doesn't feel like food at all, he feels so unsettled and food just makes him feel uneasy.

He decides to go have another shower and get into bed, he hasn't been sleeping too well and an early night might be good. He falls asleep eventually and misses Harry and Scott sneaking into his room and checking on him.
