The next few days went by peacefully for both jungkook and taehyung. Yoongi and hoseok tried their best to keep namjoon busy with his own work so that he didn't interfere with the younger two. Almost everyone knew about tae's tiny crush on the omega. Jimin had been really busy. The medical branch was difficult.

Currently, jungkook and tae were enjoying a relaxing Sunday in their dorm. While yoongi, hoseok and Namjoon were fighting at theirs.

"Isn't tae like a brother to you? Can't you just let this one omega slip?" Yoongi asked, slowly loosing his cool and calm composure. "I just don't like that jungkook guy. The only thing he's done here is make trouble." Namjoon reasoned.

"He hasn't done shit!" Yoongi finally yelled. "The only person in this whole college who has a problem with jungkook is you. Even though he didn't even talk to you yet." He continued.

Hoseok sensed the tension in the room raising. Both the alpha's scents had became bitter. They would surely end up in a physical fight if he didn't stop them.

"That's enough guys. Namjoon, Yoonie hyung is right. We're your friends. We've supported you in everything. But picking on jungkook just because of his rank is not right." He explained calmly.

Namjoon clenched his jaw. "So I can do anything on my own and you would stop me?" He asked, his scent was almost becoming unbearable for yoongi and hoseok.

"Yes. But remember that it gets too much, I won't hesitate to report you." Yoongi said with a sigh as hoseok nodded in agreement.

If they were to be honest, they also felt the need to protect the omega. Although they didn't knew if it was just their general alpha instincts or the fact that jungkook always looked like he had went through a lot.

"Fine then!" Namjoon said, storming out of the room. "I'll do it myself." He murmured once he was out of the room and then slammed the door behind him.

"Hobi?" Yoongi asked once namjoon left. "Yeah?" The younger asked. "Should we warn tae or jungkook?" He asked. "I think we should."

In NamMin's room

Jimin jumped in surprise when namjoon flung the door open. "Hyung you almost gave me a heart attack-"

"Am I the evil one?" Namjoon blurted out, cutting jimin off, and leaving him speechless.

"I- what happened?" The younger asked.

"Everyone is saying that jungkook is innocent. And I know he is. But... I don't want tae to end up like me. Yoongi hyung even asked me to let jungkook go because I consider tae as my brother. That is why I'm doing this! All omegas are like SeokJin hyung. They don't give a damn about us." Namjoon said, his voice cracking at the end.

"Hyung... Sit down for a second." Jimin said, signalling to the space besides him on the bed and Namjoon obliged.

"Tae and your cases are different hyung. Tae is a Beta and you are a true blood alpha. If your mate leaves, it will kill you. But tae's hormones aren't that strong. He can survive without his mate." Jimin softly explained.

Pure blood or true blood alphas were naturally stronger and tougher than normal alphas. But all that came with a cost. The pheromones start overwhelming the alpha. And may end up killing the alpha in case they don't find their mate before the age of 30.

Key word: may

But namjoon had already lost all hope. The moment when his rank was announced, he already knew that he won't be able to make it. First, because he was too shy and naive to ever ask his mate out. And second, even if he did ever propose to his mate, he would most probably be rejected.

Namjoon had always been that one nerdy kid who didn't really participate in anything other than studies. He was different from the other alphas around him. So, it wasn't a surprise that this didn't help with his self confidence.

And on top of all that, his mate, Kim SeokJin ended up being the most popular, kick-ass omega in college. Who has publically stated that he was not interested in meeting his mate.

Now, SeokJin didn't knew his mate would be a true blood. That thought didn't even cross his mind. He just wanted to set a positive example in front of all the omegas of their college. But, to Namjoon, it looked like his mate said that just to avoid him.

It made sense to him. "Why would a popular person date a good for nothing nerd?" He would ask himself.

His friends at the time, Yoongi and Hoseok, encouraged him to participate in the prefect election.

During the elections, Kim Namjoon went through his first ever glow up.

He started paying more attention to his looks and somehow still managed to cope up with his college studies.

And the main reason behind this glow up, although he would never agree, was SeokJin. He was half jealous and half inspired from the omega.

However, SeokJin's actions had made a long lasting impact on Namjoon's understanding of omegas.

He had always thought of them as the unruly, overly confident people who would always be too stubborn to back down over the simplest things.

Or in other words, he hated omegas. Male ones specially.

"But still, Taehyung is someone precious to me. I don't want see a random omega ruin him in front of me!" Namjoon said with tears in his eyes.

"None of us would ever want that hyung." Jimin said. "But, how are you so sure that jungkook is gonna be like SeokJin hyung?"

Namjoon stayed silent for a while. "Every omega is like him." He muttered after some time.

"Hyung, we both know that isn't true. Someone's rank doesn't define them." Jimin said.

Namjoon only hummed. He didn't have a good feeling about jungkook whatsoever.

Taehyung's POV

Jungkook was out for lectures when the door bell rang. I got up to check and found hobi hyung and yoongi hyung at the door.

"Tae, we need to talk to you." They said. I nodded and stepped aside to allow them to enter. They came in and we made out way to the couches.

"So namjoon has been acting wierd again." Yoongi hyung started. I already knew this wasn't going to go well.

"He... Well, he apparently hates your crush to his guts and he is planning on getting him in trouble...maybe even get him expelled." Hoseok hyung continued.

"He's planning on getting him WHAT?!" I yelled at them.

"Didn't you hear us the first time?!" Yoongi hyung scolded. "B-but what did jungkook even do to him?" I asked.

"You know, the whole deal with SeokJin hyung, I think." Hobi hyung said. "Hyung is taking it too far this time tho. Don't worry, I'll keep jungkook out of his way." I said with determination.

"Keep me out of whose way?" A voice called from behind me and I almost froze.
