Author's POV

They didn't notice when the evening rolled on. It was 4pm already and the welcoming ceremony started from 5. And this time, jungkook wasn't the one worried.

"C'mon dude it's your first celebration in the college. You gotta dress nice, atleast!" Taehyung whined, turning out everything that the younger had arranged in his cupboard this morning.

"White shirts and jeans are pretty nice, for all I know." Jungkook huffed, grimacing at the thought of having to arange all this back. "Alright, answer this." Tae began. "What did you wear on the bus here?"

"White shirt and jeans."

"What did you wear while you were here?"

"White shirt and jeans."

"And what are you planing to wear in the ceremony?'

"White shirts and- Ok, I get your point!" Jungkook finally said in defeat. Taehyung was quite stubborn, he concluded.

"Good. Now sit here while I find something good for you." The older said, grabbing kook's shoulders and forcing him down.

Taehyung then went back to shuffling the hell out of the poor clothes while jungkook took out his phone.

"Ah, this will look great on you!" Tae said all of a sudden, turning back with a designer T-shirt, a checked shirt and black jeans. "Wow, I didn't knew I had these..." The younger said in awe as the other handed him the clothes.

"You would know if you wore anything accept white and blue." Taehyung said, teasingly, earning a whine from the younger who stepped into the washroom to get changed.

Time passed by quickly yet again, and taehyung found himself accompanying jungkook to the auditorium, although the later had denied the help.

"Hyung you really didnt need to, I'm sure I would've found it either way." Jungkook said, but the older shook his head. "Don't worry, the house captains are supposed to be there too." Taehyung said. "Woah, you didn't tell me you were a house captain! I don't even know the houses yet." Jungkook said, in awe.

"We're gonna explain everything today. Just wait!" Taehyung said, rather awkwardly. "Ohk" the younger said. Soon enough they reached a crowd of freshmen, talking to each other or just scrolling through their phone. "And one more thing." Taehyung said. "I might behave a little... Different in front of others."

Jungkook nodded, he wanted to ask him what he meant by "a little different" but he didn't get a chance as tae just walked into the crowd without another word. But he shrugged it off none the less and merged into the crowd, while on his phone too.

Within a few more minutes, the curtains of the stage opened, only to reveal the Dean standing behind the podium. This gained the attention of the students who then settled down in their respective seats.

"Good evening, Students, and a very warm welcome to our new batch of 2020. Today, on the first day of our new semister, I would like to introduce you all to some of them basic rules that are to be followed during classes, and while you're in the campus and also to the college cabinet.

Just a heads up, the college students and faculty have been divided into three groups or houses, namely red, blue and green. This has been solely done in order to help the college cabinet maintain proper decorum in the campus." The Dean said, reading off of a paper while occassionally looking at the students in front of him too.

The mention of the houses made the students murmur among each other. The Dean only skilled from behind the podium, already used to the students thinking that houses were a "Harry Potter thing." He cleared his throat to gain back their attention and then continued.

"Now, I'll pass on the mic to the school prefect, Mr Kim Namjoon." He said, stepping back and allowing a junior year student to take the place at the podium.

"Good evening dear teachers and fellow students. On the first day of our new semister, I would like to introduce you all to some thumb rules that are to be followed strictly inside the college campus by every student without any exemption. Please also note that a punishment will be served at the event of violation of any one of these rules. The severity of these punishments initially lay in the hands of the house captains but can be discussed with the prefect and the Dean.

Coming back to the rules now, they are pretty simple. No student will be allowed inside the dormitories after 11 pm. No mating or other sexual activity is allowed inside the dormitories. Students are expected to attend all the classes and do their level best in all curricular and extra-curricular activities. Other rules have been written down in the notice board so a good read should be enough to understand them.

The house captains will be inspecting you through the year and will be the once insuring the required discipline inside the campus. The house captains will be assigning marks to their houses on the basis of academic achievements, side helps, and help towards the school. I'm here to ensure that the house captains do their jobs properly. And the only person I am answerable to, is our Dean, Mr Kim. Any further doubt about the school administration can be asked to the school captains, who will introduce themselves shortly." Kim Namjoon said.

He had a straight face throughout the whole speech, and kept roaming his eyes throughout the crowd. Never once did he look down on the podium. Which meant that he had learnt the whole speech. Jungkook also recognised the male as the alpha he bumped into earlier. Namjoon too, couldn't help but lock eyes with the younger once ever few minutes.

"All omegas are like him, aren't they?" The prefect asked himself as he stepped back to stand besides the Dean and let the house captains take his place.

A/n yup, I'm back after an eternity lol. And I'll be dropping hints on the whole "namjoon dying" thing cause that's gonna be the second big reveal in this book ;) This chapter was just some technical stuff that will help in the future. And yes, we have houses in our school too and I have been a house captain before so I really wanted to add this. Istg this wasn't inspired by Harry Potter, this is really how our school functions.
