Author's POV

Jungkook constantly kept tapping his feet on the bus floor. He was sweating heavily and was drumming his fingers on his right knee. What was the reason of this nervousness? The first day of college.

Moving to seoul and being all alone for the first time in life was already nerve wracking. But being a male omega only added to that. Not to mention he already had a pretty bad experience while going through the hell hole people called highschool.

Well, saying he had a bad experience would be an understatement, but that wasn't the issue in hand. Right now, the main point was that he was only a few blocks away from a new segment of his life, for which, he didn't think he was ready for.

The bus soon came to a halt and jungkook was the last person to get out. He stood before the giant door, heaved in a deep breath and entered the huge college. He was nervous, surprised, scared but kind of excited too. So much so, that he didn't keep a check on his surroundings.

"Watch where you're going, kid." The person, into whome jungkook bumped into, said. He was wearing a green blazer so jungkook guessed he was in junior year. "S-sorry." He mumbled, bowing down and scurrying off to the office to get his schedule.

Namjoon's POV

I stared back at the kid who just bumped into me. "A new student, huh?" I heard someone say behind me. I turned around only to find taehyung and jimin. "Yeah, he'll be fun to play with." I said with a smirk. "He's an omega hyung, you should go easy on him." Taehyung suggested. "Do we look like we care?" Jimin and I said at the same time. Tae sighed, but didn't say anything. Why is he acting so overprotective of a random omega?

Author's POV

Jungkook stood in the cue in front of the college office. There were a lot of new students but jungkook couldn't sense a single omega in them. And that fact didn't help with his anxiety. But still, it was kind of what he expected. This was an all boys college and male omegas like himself are pretty rare.

His turn soon came and the office lady gave him a piece of paper, his schedule and his new dorm's keys. "You'll be in room number 36, along with Kim Taehyung." The lady said.

Jungkook nodded. As much as he wanted to ask about his roommate's rank, he thought it would be too awkward of a question. "Thanks." He said, moving out of the cue to read his schedule. He didn't have much to do for today, just the welcoming ceremony for the new batch. But that too was in the evening. So, he opted to go and check out his room.

It didn't take him much time to find his room. He knocked and waited once he heard shuffling behind the door. Taehyung opened the door, only to find the boy that bumped into his hyung earlier. "H-hey...I'm jungkook, I'll be your new roommate." He said. "Oh." Taehyung smiled. "Get in then! And no need to be so formal around me." He added, making way for the younger to enter.

Jungkook returned his smile with a much smaller one and entered the dorm, pulling his luggage behind him. "I didn't expect them to assign a freshman here." The beta jokingly said. "But oh well, make yourselves comfortable!" kook nodded, and sat on one of the couches.

Jungkook, being jungkook, didn't say anything and just sat there. While taehyung, having a bubbly personality, took it upon himself to start a conversation. "So," he began, catching the younger's attention. "I never introduced myself. I'm taehyung, beta." He said. "O-oh I'm an omega..." The younger said quietly.

"Why do you stutter so much?" Taehyung asked out loud unintentionally. Realising his mistake soon when he saw the younger shift on his seat. "I mean theirs nothing wrong with it but I just want to know if I made you uncomfortable or something-" Taehyung said in one breath, trying to repair his mistake.

"No it's o-ok." The omega said, cutting him off. "I guess I'll just take my t-time to warm up you." He added with a smile. Taehyung smiled back, before hearing another knock at the door. He wasn't expecting anyone at the moment. "Feel free to check out the dorm while I answer the door." The beta said, smilling.

"What are you doing here, hyung?" He asked. "I heard the new kid is your room mate." Namjoon said. Taehyung sighed. "Hyung it's his first day, please let him be. At least for today?" He said. Namjoon eyed him from top to bottom. "Why are you so protective over him?" He asked.

"I don't know. But I am protective enough of him to not let any of you lay a finger on him for the day." Tae said confidently. "Let's see you try pup." Namjoon said. "But I'll leave you alone with him, for now." He added and then walked away from their door.

Taehyung closed the door and went back in. There wasn't anything he could do to stop namjoon anyways.
