Thalia's POV:

Percy told me of his quest, given to him by Athena, and I'm guessing he told death breath as well. So, I decide to ask milady, if she would allow me to go see him and journey back to Olympus with him. If anyone, especially monsters, finds out that he is carrying one of the golden apples, he'll be facing an army his entire way back. 

Thankfully, I think, Artemis agreed and gave me the time off to do so. And told me to meet her at her palace when we got to Olympus and from there we would go back to the hunt and then proceed to CHB. She may not admit it, but she wants Percy to be happy, even if it's not with her. Yes, I know what I said, and if you tell anyone you heard that from me, I will personally find you and throw you into Tartarus.

I arrived at the base of Mount Tam, only to see Percy start his climb up the mountain. Knowing him he wouldn't want anyone else to be endangered during this fight so I decided to set up camp and wait for his return down the mountain.

Nico's POV:

Percy told me about the quest Athena gave him to gain her blessing to marry Annabeth. If you ask me she's insane, and he's even more insane for going through with this quest. I mean the man went through Tartarus, and she treats it as if he just walked to camp for the first time. Sometimes, I question how and why she's the wisdom goddess, as Apollo sometimes acts smarter than her, and he's a self-centered idiot. Not to mention the way she can hold a grudge is on par with the children of my father, or can even surpass them. 

I decided that I'll go see Percy and accompany him back to Olympus, there is nothing about his quest saying he can't have companions, only that he has to pick an apple by his own hand, and the implication that he has to complete that part alone. 

I decided to shadow travel to the base of the mountain, already seeing a silver tent set up. It didn't help that I could see the owner of that tent was a daughter of Zeus with a pinecone for a face. I guess Percy must have told her and didn't tell me about it. 

"It's about time you got here death breath" Thalia yelled at me. I'll admit that after my trip through Tartarus that not much scares me anymore, but one of the remaining things that still do scare me is a pissed-off Thalia.

"...ening to me" she shouted at me. "sorry Thals what was that," I asked. 

"Dam it Nico, pay attention next time. I was telling you that Percy entered the garden approximately 20 minutes ago and that I am cooking some deer if you want any." That settles it, I'm going over my allotted shadow travels a week given to me by Will, I am not having her cooking.

"Yeah, I'm going to pass on that, and go get some McDonalds" I responded by jumping into a shadow before she could stop me. And yes she does know about Will's mandate, about me using my powers, and she supports them. I'm a child of the big three and she is too, and yet she acts as if we listen to the advice we are given when even she doesn't listen to the same advice.

Thalia's POV:

I see Nico jump into the shadows despite, what his doctor ordered him to do. I am so going to tell Will about this. But, why did he leave so quickly my cooking isn't that bad.

Where is that kelp-headed fool? It has been well over 11 hours and the sun is starting to rise and he still hasn't come back yet. I swear if he died, I'm going to force Nico to take me to him in the underworld, and I will personally drag him back to the world of the living and kill him for dying on me, and I'll do it again so Annie could kill him for dying on us too.

I'm starting to get irritated, my ADHD is acting up and Nico's is too. I mean how long does it take to get a singular apple. If it was me who was doing this I would be done by now, it shouldn't be that hard to drown Ladon, I would have just repetitively shocked him with massive lightning bolts until he just gave up, or passed out.

Percy's POV: 

Luckily I didn't run into the Hesperides again, but what I did find waiting for me was arguably worse. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my cousins. But when you're still injured and are more tired than Hypnos himself, they are not the people you want to meet. So, me being the smart person I am tried to sneak around their camp. Key word tried. 

"PERSEUS JACKSON WHAT IN THE NAME OF OUR UNCLE ARE YOU TRYING TO DO" good ol' pinecone face yelled

"Well, I was just coming to say hi" I responded. Apparently, that was the wrong answer as I got struck by lightning and promptly decided to take a nap.

Thalia's POV:

This is bad, I just killed my favorite cousin. Don't you dare tell anyone either or I will kill you. Artemis is going to kill me, Hades, Uncle P is going to kill me, in a much more torturous way.

Nico's POV:

Percy is asleep and is only playing dead. I would have felt it if he died, but how often do you get to mess with Thalia like this. So, I decided to act like Thalia 'Killed' Percy.

"Thalia, how could you? You just killed Percy" I shouted "I felt his soul leave" I cried and burst into 'totally real' tears

"He was like a brother to the both of us and you killed him. I thought you were different from the other hunters, yet you're all the same" I shouted and leaped into a shadow, going back to McDonald's for breakfast.

Thalia's POV:

I heard Nico shouting at me, and I didn't process much of it, but I did process him saying I'm no different than the other hunters, which hurt. I know he still blames them for her death and is now blaming me for the death of Percy. Thus making the hunt responsible for the death of his two siblings in his mind, even if one of them was technically his cousin.

I sat there crying for I don't know how long. I just killed the one person who didn't see me any differently than himself. Yeah sure, we butted heads from time to time, but he didn't treat me any different than anyone else, and I dumped the prophecy on him like a coward would.

 I didn't know how long I wasn't paying attention, but all of a sudden I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder and heard the voice of a dead man, "Thals why are you crying?" The voice asked concern laced in its voice.

"Because I killed...wait a minute Percy, you're alive" I shouted excitedly. "Awwwwwww you do care," He said with that trademarked smirk

"But Ni...Nico said you...you were de...de...dead." I stuttered, "Wait if you're alive then that means... NICO I'M GOING TO FIND YOU AND SEND YOU TO YOUR FATHER...THE PAINFUL WAY" I screamed into the sky. That good-for-nothing cousin of mine is going to lie about Percy being dead and think he's going to get away with it, I'm going to prove him wrong. "And you better not tell anyone I cried over your supposed death" I threaten Percy, in a low voice

Percy's POV:

When she said that I just put my hands up and agreed with her, "come on I have a guess where Nico is" I said and with that, we headed off to the nearest McDonald's

Nico's POV:

I was downing my third McMuffin of the morning when all of the sudden the door opens up. And I'm dead, yup like I should just shadow travel to my father and live amongst dead souls for the rest of my life. That would be preferable to even a tenth of the look Thalia is giving me, and if looks could kill everyone in here would be dead, mainly me. "Nico, You are going to explain to me clearly and concisely about why you lied to me about Percy being dead" She stated in a voice that made me shiver and would have made Octavian piss his pants.

"I...I...I thought" I started but was quickly shut up by Thalia. "You...you...you thought now tell me why did you think. It is not your job to think now is it, Nico. Now tell me without stuttering" she said in that same voice and I gulped, even Percy looked a bit nervous. 

"I thought it would be funny," I said in an extremely small voice

"What was that I didn't hear you. Now speak up Nico before I decide to hurt you" she said not changing her voice whatsoever. "I said I thought it would be funny"

"FUNNY, FOR WHAT PURPOSE. MAKING ME THINK MY COUSIN, WHO I VIEW AS A BROTHER IS DEAD. YOU THINK THAT IS FUNNY" She yelled at me and I shrunk as much as possible. Then all of the sudden they both start cracking up laughing confusing everyone else in the store and me.

"what's so funny I don't get it," I asked

"You...you should have...have seen...seen your face" they both wheeze out in a way that reminded me of the Stoll brothers

"That will teach you to not prank me like that again," Thalia said taking my hash-brown and leaving the store with Percy, who was still chuckling. Wait they just pranked me that's it, may the prank wars begin.

Percy's POV:

The next prank came from Nico to Thalia moments after we left California. He fainted a heart attack, which wouldn't surprise me with how much McDonald's he eats, but the prank backfired when Thalia shocked him thinking his heart stopped. From there the pranks only escalated, and we were still pranking each other when we reached Olympus.

I'm not going to lie the past 36 hours were fun with all the pranks. We switched drivers at each fuel stop and I have a feeling the other two were trying to kill us with their driving. Yes, we rented a car and used the mist to do so. I swear it's fun to do that to some mortals. It was agreed that Nico would take the car back to the rental car place as Artemis requested Thalia to meet her at her palace, and I needed to meet Athena to give her this dam apple.

I found her like I did the first time, just waiting at the steps of her Palace. " I assume you've come to tell me you have failed your task, Perseus" Athena sneered.

"Nah I got you your apple," I said pulling it out, "But I do want to hear you say what we agreed to," I said

"You don't need to hear it," She said back

"Fine No correcto wordso then no apple" I sassed putting it away, "Maybe I should give it to Hestia or Artemis, I'm sure they will appreciate the hard work that went into retrieving it" I finished starting to walk away

"Wait" Athena shouted, "Fine, You have my blessing to marry my daughter," she said. I pulled the apple back out and handed it to her. She spent all but two seconds looking at it before she got outraged, and threw it to the ground obliterating the apple, "Do you take me a fool" She shouted, "that Apple is a fake and not a real one". I sighed knowing there is no winning with the goddess, but I decided to shut her up anyway, I'm a master of annoying beings with immortality.

"I swear on the Styx, that the apple I gave to you was an apple that I hand-picked from the tree of golden apple's inside the garden of the Hesperides, as you requested me to do" I responded without any emotion, only to hear a massive boom of thunder sealing what I just said as truth.

Athena started to look real annoyed when nothing happened to me, "Fine, if Styx isn't going to do anything for your lying, I'm going to do so myself" she said brandishing her spear and the Aegis shield. She looked confused when I didn't falter from the shield and just stood there not caring.

"Athena if I lied on Styx's name do you genuinely think I would still be alive. Admit it the only reasons you hate me is that I am Poseidon's son and I've proven you wrong when you said you all should kill me, and then again just now" I said in a calm and collected voice despite the spear mere inches from my face. She didn't say anything but instead decided to attack me. I knew I was right, she does hate me for those things. 

So, I did the only logical thing I could do and that is run. I ran without really any direction with an angry wisdom goddess shouting profanities at me not that far behind. I knew she violated the ancient laws when she tried to attack me first, but I don't think I would be able to get a conviction if it was brought to court.

I continued running and I knew I wouldn't be able to outrun her much longer, especially since I had just run into two people. I tried to get up and start running again but one of them grabbed me by my shirt collar. "Now where do you think your going Perseus," The voice said and it was at that moment that I knew I was a dead man

"Running away from a murderous Lady Athena" I stated, trying to escape her grasp so I could possibly escape Athena. 

"Why does she want to kill you," Thalia asked, and it was at that moment that Athena rounded the corner and saw us and started screaming bloody murder

"Sister would you please for the sake of our father, shut the Hades up before I ask Apollo to remove your vocal cords," Artemis said in an annoyed tone rubbing her temples

"The Boy lied to me, and lied on the Styx's name, he deserves to be punished" Athena shouted

"What did he lie to you about," Thalia asked stepping in between me and the two goddesses.

"He lied to me about  giving me a golden apple as I requested him to do for his quest from me," Athena said smugly

"I was there when he started his trek up the mountain, I didn't see him fight Ladon nor did I see him pick an apple, but when he came back down the mountain he had one. My cousin may be many things, but a liar and cheater are not one of them, Athena" Thalia yelled outraged at her half-sister, and saying her name much like how Zoë said, boy. I guess she does care about me.

"Thalia is right sister. Perseus is many things but he's not a liar nor is he a cheater" Artemis said backing me for the second time in my life. I think I may owe her a favor or something now. "And anyway, he swore an oath on the Styx he would have already been claimed by her if he lied" she continued. Athena just huffed and walked away seeming to be annoyed that she couldn't kill me, and threw away an authentic apple of immortality.

"Percy, you must be careful around my sister now. I do not think she will let you live if you meet her alone again" Artemis said, "On another note, The hunt and I will be arriving at camp soon and I expect you to be there to greet us, as per tradition, so you better hurry" She finished. I said a quick thank you and bye to them both before I hurried off to camp.
