Chapter 3 (Full)

The rest of the day was long for Percy. He didn't expect his friends Clarisse and Grover to hang out, but they were busy with Thalia. While he expected this, he still didn't like it. He even met the son of Hercules, and well, let's just say he wasn't impressed. Right now, though, our favorite Demigod Saiyan is going through his katas wearing weights that would slow even Hercules.

As he went through his katas, however, a few Demigods started to gather at the edge of the beach. Watching our hero shadow fight against invisible enemies.

"Who is this?" a daughter of Aphrodite asks, her voice sounding seductive. "Look at his muscles. Who knew he was such a hunk."

A daughter of Athena just rolled her eyes. It was obvious who it was, the raven black hair, while spiked, was familiar to her, not to mention the green eyes that were just as beautiful as the sea itself... She looked away from the son of Poseidon.

'Damnit,' she thought. 'Stop thinking like that! Our parents hate each other! Mother would kill him if she were to find out!'

The daughter of Athena turned away and started walking to get some food when she heard people gasp and she turned around. What she saw made her grey eyes go wide with shock. The son of Poseidon was now shadow fighting in mid-air!

"W-What the hades?!" the daughter of Athena heard Thalia Grace, the daughter of Zeus, shout out. The daughter of Athena's eyes analyzed his movements. She saw how easily he flowed from one stance like water. Like he was born and bred to fight.

"Incredible," she breathed out. She watched as he flowed from one stance to another, and it was breathtaking.

She only had one thought running through her head, 'I must learn how to do this.'

With Poseidon later that night

The god of the Seas ran a hand through his messy hair as he stood in front of a door to an apartment. The apartment of his former lover, Sally Jackson. He tried to calm his nerves and even fidgeted a bit. Yeah... the immortal was definitely anxious.

'Hopefully, she doesn't kill me,' Poseidon thought. He could feel Neptune agree with him.

He knocked on the door a few times and waited a bit before Sally opened the door and her eyes went wide upon seeing the Olympian standing in her doorway before narrowing in anger.

"Hey Sally," Poseidon greeted smiling nervously. "It's uh... been a while."

"Seventeen years," Sally muttered. "Seventeen long years. Where the hell were you?!"

"My brother made a law, Sally," Poseidon ran his fingers through his hair once again. "None of us, no Olympian, no minor god or goddess, could help their children. He may be my brother, but I despise him at times."

Sally scowled. She may be a kind soul, much like her sister-in-law Gine, and as such wasn't much of a fighter and it took a lot to get her mad. However, when it comes to someone trying to keep her family apart from one and another, well... let's say that even King Vegeta learned to be cautious of her real fast.

"Why?" she demanded.

Poseidon looked at her in confusion.

"Who not just visit?" she asked her tone full of anger. "Do you know what I've had to do these last seventeen years? What I've had to be?"

Poseidon looked down in regret.

"I know Sally," he replied solemnly. "I've watched our son grow up to be a powerful warrior. And yet... He's become a good man. One who knows that not every fight can be won with straight attacks, but with great wisdom as well. You've raised him well and through training, through sparring, I can raise him too. So don't ever think I don't care for you both."

Sally's temper was still flaring but she could see that every word Poseidon spoke was the truth.

"What of Neptune?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

The god chuckled.

"We are the same person just with different personality traits Sally," he told her. "He agrees though. To everything."

Sally sighs and walks into the kitchen.

"How's Percy doing at camp?" she calls from the kitchen.

"From what I can tell, he ain't too fond of Herc's brat," Poseidon replied more than a little amused. "Same with Thalia."

"Of course, he's not fond of either of them," Sally retorted as she walked out of the kitchen with two cups of coffee. "One is all muscle and no brain while the other took his closest friends."

Poseidon snorted.

"That's one way of putting it," he told her before taking a sip. "By the way, how did you know that?"

"Percy calls once a week to check in on me," she told him. "It's not much but it shows that even through all he's been through the last two summers, he is still the boy I raised."

Poseidon smiled at that.

"That he is Sal, that he is," Poseidon said wistfully. He was about to say more, but an Iris Message appeared in front of them both and Poseidon heard Chiron's voice say, "Lord Poseidon?"

"Yes, Chiron?" Poseidon was irritated that the centaur interrupted his time with Sally. "What is it?"

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but it's your son," the centaur replied seeing as how he heard the irritation in the god's voice and that the mother of the demigod he is speaking of is right beside him. "He has uh... He has injured Hank Kurst, the son of Heracles."

It took a few moments for Poseidon's mind to fully register what Chiron told him before he erupted into laughter. Meanwhile, Sally sighed at his reaction and turned to Chiron.

"Ignore him," Sally told the Centaur. "Let me guess, Mr. Kurst was getting a little too cozy with a fellow camper and Percy injured him?"

Chiron nodded as Poseidon managed to calm down but he still had a grin on his face.

"This camper wouldn't be Annabeth Chase the daughter of Athena by any chance would it?" the god of the sea asked the centaur.

"How did you know my lord?" Chiron was surprised that Poseidon knew who the son of Herakles was bothering.

"Because I know my son Chiron," Poseidon was now very serious. "Let me tell you this, his heritage is beginning to come full circle and soon, he will be gunning for Annabeth's heart. By way of either fighting to impress her or by chasing away other potential suitors."

"If I may ask, what is his heritage?" Chiron was now cautious not only due to Poseidon's seriousness but also by the look of nostalgia on Sally's face as if this wasn't the first time she's seen this happen.

Poseidon looked at Sally for permission who looked at Chiron.

"Swear on the River Styx that you won't tell anyone at the camp unless it's people who already know," Sally told the trainer of Heroes.

After he swore the oath, Sally began the explanation of her heritage. Their history and their legends. Throughout it all, Chiron proved to be a good listener and asked questions at the right times. When it was done, Chiron sighed and asked one last question, "What should I do if he does indeed decide to uh..."

"Mark the woman he chose as his mate?" Sally smiled slightly at his slight embarrassment. "Leave it be. That is the best advice I could give you. If anyone even dares to pull her away from him then he will go into a rage and attack the person responsible for taking her away."

"That is what happened with Mr. Kurst?" Chiron asked a thoughtful expression on his face.

"More like he got too close to a potential mate," Poseidon told him. "Saiyans, and it doesn't matter for males or females, are attracted to strong-willed people. And from what he's told me of Ms. Chase, she most certainly fits the bill."

"You honestly don't seem all that surprised by this reveal Chiron," Sally said.

"Ms. Jackson," Chiron began. "I have seen too much in this life. I experienced immortality personally. Learning of an alien race called Saiyans is not very surprising."

Sally blushed slightly in embarrassment.

"Yes, well, I am not quite used to seeing myths even if my son is a Demigod," Sally retorted, her cheeks still slightly pink. "Just be careful Chiron. A Saiyan is never to be taken lightly, a single Saiyan has the power to destroy an entire planet if they had the time to get that strong."

The immortal centaur's eyes went wide. This was the first time hearing this.

'I will have to make some adjustments to his training after this,' the centaur thought.

He looked at the mortal and the immortal in the Iris Message, "Thank you. I'll be sure to inform Mr. D of this so we may plan accordingly."

Waving his hand through the IM, the centaur sighed and turned to see Percy smirking slightly.

"You are lucky, Perseus," Chiron told the son of Poseidon. "I am very well sure, you would not be here right now if Heracles was told of this."

That smirk was still on Percy's face when he was told to leave.
