Chapter 2
When Percy got out of the healing pod, his father was already out and had a change of clothes for the half-Saiyan.
"Thanks," Percy told the Roman god of the seas. "So when do we get back to training?"
"Sorry son," Neptune said, as he smirked at his son's somber mood. "But there's a party in a few days that you have to go to."
"Let me guess," Percy said after getting dressed. "Thalia's "Return to the Living" party."'
'I was hoping he'd forget about that,' Percy thought.
Neptune grimaced.
"Yeah," he replied.
"Wait, I thought that I missed that?" Percy said. "I mean, it's been a year right?"
Neptune smirked in amusement.
"You are incorrect son," Neptune said. "You've only been gone for a week. You see, to the outside world, it's a week, but here? It is a year in here. When Rhea was young, Chronos and Ananke, the primordials of Time and Destiny respectively, saw that a warrior would be born to one of her children and decided that he needed a place to train to combat threats that the titans and gods can't face. So they decided to take a section of land and place a blessing over it. What the blessing does is that it would slow time here extremely and make it to where all damage done to the area would fix itself after a couple of hours."
"Me," the son of Poseidon stated. "That warrior is me, isn't it?"
Neptune nodded.
"We believe it is," Neptune replied. "Me and mother really, no one else knows of this and no one else will."
"Alright. But I must first achieve the legendary transformation of the Saiyan race."
"You can't possibly mean-" Neptune was cut off.
"Yes," replied Percy. "The Super Saiyan transformation."
"Well kid," Neptune began. "Looks like we have a lot of training ahead of us. But first, we have to get you back to Camp and I have to talk to your mother about something."
"Just don't give me any siblings just yet," Percy teased his father, before heading upstairs.
"That brat," Neptune said. "One of these days, Perseus, one of these days."
Time-Skip after breakfast
"I am honestly not surprised anymore," Rhea said as she cleaned up after the half-Saiyan.
Neptune chuckled at his mother's deadpan expression.
"His mother is the same way, she just has more table manners," Neptune told her with a wistful smile on his face as he thought of the woman he would've stayed in the mortal world with.
"You love her still," Rhea stated. "What about your wife though?"
Neptune sighed.
"She faded two hundred years ago, mother," Neptune told her. "As did her greek aspect."
Rhea placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"That is why you and Poseidon wanted to stay with her," Rhea stated. "Because she was the first woman since Amphitrite/Salacia you truly loved."
Neptune nodded.
"I would've too, but Jupiter passed that damned law of his," Neptune growled out, his fists clenched. Rhea looked at her son for a few moments thinking up an idea.
"You know, it's been a while since I've been to Olympus," Rhea said. "But my son won't allow me to visit. Think you could take me?"
Neptune's anger faded away as he realized just what Rhea was up to and smirked.
"Of course mother," Neptune said. "I would love to."
Percy then walked in with a bag over his shoulder.
"I'm ready to go," he told them.
"Good," replied Rhea as she changed her clothes to a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes. "How do I look?"
"Like a soccer mom," Percy said, before getting hit on the head by his father. "Ow! Dad, why did you do that!"
"You look, wonderful mother," Neptune said.
"Thank you, Neptune," Rhea replied, before shooting Percy a disappointed look that had Percy feeling bad.
"Sorry Grandma," Percy said, rubbing the back of his head.
Rhea nodded, before the three of them flashed to Olympus to speak with Zeus.
Olympus
"Does anyone know why we were called here?" Ares asked more than a little peeved. "I was having fun training for when I would fight Barnacle Beard's spawn!"
"That is what I want to know as well, brother."
"Hades!?" Zeus shouted. "What are you doing here? It's not the solstice yet!"
"Neptune sent me a message saying that he was bringing a guest and that we all should be here," replied Hades offhandedly. "Who this person is I do not know, but they'd better be important."
"Does your mother count?"
Everyone looked at the doorway where Rhea stood with Percy to her right and Neptune to her left.
"M-Mother?!"
The original six, except Hestia, were surprised to see their mother in the throne room.
"Hi Mom," Hestia said smiling, happy to see her mother. "And hello to you too brother."
"Hello sister," Neptune said. "And I am sure that you all remember my son, Perseus."
"Its Percy," the Son of Poseidon/Neptune said his arms crossed. "Anyways, we are here for a reason."
"Too right, Neptune," Rhea replied, before looking around the room. "Where's Poseidon?"
"Sorry that I am late, mom," Poseidon said as he walked into the throne room. "I was a bit busy training and I seem to have lost track of time. You know how that is right, Percy?"
"I thought that we agreed not to mention that again?" the demigod asked his father's Greek Aspect.
Poseidon shrugged and looked at his Roman Aspect before the two became one once more.
"You've gotten strong, Percy," Poseidon said. "All that training has paid off."
"What training? Zeus demanded.
"Where do you think my son has been, little brother?" Poseidon asked.
"With his mortal parent of course," Zeus stated.
"You are wrong, Zeus," Rhea said. "He's been with me for the past week training. Neptune also visited and trained with him."
"Don't forget I did as well," Poseidon stated. "The law says that we couldn't raise our children, never said anything about training them. Besides, the damned law is what started this whole thing Zeus. You know, I know. Chaos, even mom knows it!"
"The law is final Poseidon!" Zeus thundered. "We cannot raise our children so we cannot get attached to them. They are mortal. They are born and they die! End of story!"
"Enough!" Rhea shouted.
Both brothers stopped and looked at their mother, meanwhile, their siblings were snickering like a younger sibling does when their older sibling gets in trouble.
"You will get rid of that blasted law, Zeus," Rhea said. "My husband, your father, whether you like it or not, is returning from Tartarus. Percy needs the training so that he will be ready. And yes, Chiron is a Trainer of Heroes, but he cannot provide the training that Percy needs in order to reach his full potential."
"And what kind of training does he need?" Athena asked.
"That is nothing that concerns you, Athena," Poseidon replied. "But if you must know, Percy's true strength is not in his Olympian blood, but in his mother's. You see, Percy is a part of an extinct race known only as the Saiyans. But that is all I am going to tell you as this is a family matter."
"And we are all family, Poseidon," Hephaestus replied. "What is a Saiyan?"
"An alien race," Percy replied.
"Alien!?" Ares exclaimed. "But you don't look like a little green man!"
"Saiyans look human with the exception of a brown, monkey-like tail," Percy explained. "Whenever we fight, we grow stronger. Whenever we are near death and survive, we grow stronger. We are the ultimate warrior race. Stronger than even the Amazons at their height. Greater than Sparta at it's height. That is a Saiyan."
"Show us the limit of your power," Demeter demanded.
They all pointedly ignored Ares's evil grin as he wanted to fight Percy. They also ignored Aphrodite's lustful look directed at Percy.
"Sorry," Percy said. "But I only use my power in fights. But I can show you one of my skills."
Poseidon then made a straw dummy appear a little ways off, and nodded at his son.
"Final Shine Attack!" Percy shouted as a dark green energy sphere formed in his right palm, and upon thrusting his palm towards the dummy, a dark green energy beam shot out of his hand and obliterated the dummy to kingdom come.
"If that is all," began Percy with a smirk on his face. "Can someone take me to Camp? I told Chiron that I would be there in a week and I am one week late."
He almost said a year, but managed not to. That would have been too much of a pain to explain.
Rhea smiled and said, "I'll take you Percy. And afterwards, I'll return and continue to talk to you all about not giving your children enough attention."
Without giving the Olympians a chance to reply, Rhea had already flashed Percy to Camp Half-Blood.
Camp Half-Blood
Chiron was teaching an archery lesson, when he felt an enormous power level appear in the arena.
"What in Chaos-" Chiron started, before he galloped towards the arena. When he arrived, he saw Rhea and his favorite student standing in the center of the arena. They were also the origin of the power. More so Rhea than Percy, but Chiron could feel something new in his student. Something that he has never felt before. And that scared the old centaur.
"L-Lady Rhea," the centaur said. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you."
"Hello Chiron," Rhea said gently. "My grandson has told me a lot about you. Said that your training has helped him survive on his quests. Thank you for that."
Chiron bowed his upper half and said, "Thank you my lady."
"Your welcome Chiron," Rhea replied, before turning to her grandson. "Now Percy, don't forget to continue your training. Do you have your enchanted weights? Your Gi? What about the Senzu Beans and the like?"
"Yes grandma," Percy told her. "I made sure that I had everything. Besides, I wouldn't ever forget that kinda stuff. I have to keep training in order to complete that damned prophecy. And if I ever want to become the strongest I can possibly become, then I need to continue my training."
"Well said Percy," Rhea commented. "Now then, I must go back to Olympus so I can give my youngest son a good talk about this law of his. Goodbye Percy. I'll see if I can't come and visit anytime soon."
Rhea then flashed away and Chiron looked at Percy. The age old centaur analyzed his student. With a keen eye, the centaur saw that, even though he was wearing baggy clothing, he was more built than even the only son of Hercules in the camp. Not only that, but he also saw that Percy was ready for any attacks that came his way.
"You've changed Percy," Chiron stated. "Whether it is a good change, or a bad change, I do not know."
The son of Poseidon smirked.
"The former for my friends," he began. "The latter for my enemies."
Chiron just hummed in thought and the two began walking towards Percy's cabin by the beach.
"What is on your mind Percy?" the centaur asked after a moment of silence.
"I made a deal with my father," Percy replied. "And before you ask, I am not going to elaborate."
Chiron chuckled.
"Using big words now Percy?" Chiron asked, amused.
Percy shrugged.
"After spending time with my grandmother and my father for the past few days, my vocabulary has increased," Percy explained.
The two of them soon arrived at Percy's cabin.
"It is good to have you back here Percy," Chiron told him. "It has not been a good two weeks."
"Who all is causing trouble?" Percy asked the centaur, his green eyes narrowing.
"It just has been..." Chiron tried to find the words. "Boring I suppose you could say. Of course, there has been a son of Hercules that has been causing some of the female campers to be uncomfortable. But I've talked to him and he says he'll stop making them feel uncomfortable."
Percy scoffed.
"A guy who knows his dad is Hercules, arguably the most famous hero of Greek history, is not going to stop making the girls here uncomfortable," Percy told the centaur. "I'll keep an eye on him, but I make no promises on hurting him."
"Good," Chiron replied. "I would hate to see you get hurt by his immense strength. I swear that he is stronger than his father was as a Demigod."
With that said, Chiron trotted away, leaving the son of Poseidon alone at his cabin and unknowing to Percy's grin.
"Stronger than his old man huh?" Percy muttered as he walked into his cabin. "Now that's interesting."
