Chapter 1
Sonic booms echoed across a valley as two men flew above in the clouds. One of them was a teenager, about 17 at most with windswept raven black hair and shining sea-green eyes. The teen was wearing a dark blue shirt underneath a black vest, a light blue belt and dark blue pants, black wrist bands that covered half of his forearms, light blue wrappings around his ankles, and dark blue boots. The other man was wearing a martial arts gi that had a blue overshirt and a sea-green muscle shirt underneath. His pants were the same color as the overshirt, and he was wearing a pair of dark sea green boots with a blue stripe down the center and around the sole of the feet.
"Is that all you've got son?" the man asked with a smirk. "I trained Mars when he was just a godling! And he was better than this!"
"But he isn't a Saiyan!" the teen shouted flying right at the man.
The teen vanished before the man's eyes and then reappeared behind him, before grabbing the man's leg and throwing him to the ground before launching an energy blast that caused dust to erupt at the contact.
A woman walked out of a nearby house with refreshments on a tray and smiled as she looked at the two fighters.
"When will Neptune learn," she wondered aloud. "He can't underestimate his son."
She watched as Neptune flew straight up towards his son and the two went right back at it with punches and kicks flying at speeds that only a titan or a major god would be able to follow.
"Boys!" she shouted, as they both stopped and landed in front of the woman. "I thought that you would like some refreshments until you continue."
"Thank you mother," Neptune thanked as he had a drink of water.
"Thanks, Grandma Rhea," the teen replied, doing the same, before sighing. "That was refreshing."
"No need to thank me, Percy," Rhea stated with a kind smile as her green eyes, that is much the same as her son and grandson's eyes, sparkled with untold kindness. "It was nice of you two to visit me for the last few months. I don't get many visitors."
"I keep telling you mother," Neptune began, his eyes closed as he sighed. "I want to visit, but I have much to do."
"Yes," Rhea sighed, with a sad smile. "I understand."
Rhea turned to her grandson.
"Now Percy, do you have anyone you have your eye on at your demigod camp?"
Percy coughed as the water he was drinking went down the wrong pipe.
"W-What?"
"Now don't make me repeat myself, mister," Rhea scolded.
Percy blushed and nodded.
"Who?"
Let it be known that Rhea is a helpless romantic, much like her younger sister Aphrodite.
"Don't tell me it's Clarisse," Neptune scowled. "Even if she did help you find my brother's Master Bolt, so help me I will make the next training session hell for you!"
"H-Her name is..." He mumbled the name, but unfortunately, Neptune heard him.
"Ah," the Roman god of the Sea started. "A daughter of Minerva. The one who helped you get the Golden Fleece. Yes, she's a warrior. A smart one. Yes, I believe that she'd be a good wife for a Saiyan demigod. A fine choice son, a fine one indeed."
"D-Dad!" Percy blushed in embarrassment. "She's a daughter of Athena and I'm a son of Poseidon! It won't work and you know that!"
Neptune raised an eyebrow at his son's outburst.
"Ah but your mother told me that you'd be going through Saiyan puberty sometime soon," Neptune told him with a smirk. "And that Saiyans your age would be finding their - What was the word she used? - Oh yes, mates during this time."
Percy sighed, knowing that what his father was saying is true.
"Alright fine. There is a party for Thalia's," he conceded the daughter of Zeus's name with contempt. "Return and I'll ask her to go with me as friends." He stressed the word as to not give his father any ideas. "Does that make you happy?"
"Absolutely," Neptune stated with a smirk. "Now are you ready to get back to training? You mentioned having an all-new technique before I arrived."
It was Percy's turn to smirk, and it wasn't very nice to look at.
"Yeah, but I can't use the power-up for more than ten or so minutes at the highest multiplier," he told his father. "Grandmother and I sparred when I taught myself the technique and I must say, it hurts a lot. But even so, it's a good technique to have in the back pocket when I get in a tough situation."
"What's it called?" Neptune asked seriously, turning to his mother.
"He calls it the Kaio-Ken," Rhea replied. "And while I wasn't using most of my power, he was able to hold his own against me for a few minutes."
Neptune smirked once more.
"I can't wait to see it!"
Rhea sighed.
"I'll go get the ointments and the Senzu Beans," the Titaness stated, shaking her head in amusement. "Please try not to destroy my home too much, will you boys?"
Percy and his father both chuckled in amusement and Neptune turned to him.
"Let's go then."
The two flew upwards and were about 15 feet from the other. Percy then began powering up as he shouted, "I'm going all out from the start father! Kaio-Ken!" A red aura then blazed around him as his muscles bulged and his hair spiked a bit. "Let's go!" The two then charged at the other and met in the middle, before their blows clashed and a sonic boom resounded throughout the area.
Time-Skip to after the fight
Neptune walked up to Rhea's home, opened the door, and walked into the living room before heading to the basement and placing Percy into one of two healing pods. He then walked into one himself and closed his eyes as the pod filled with a healing solution.
Rhea walked into the basement and saw her son and her grandson in the pods and she shook her head in amusement.
"Why must they do this?" she asked herself. "Oh well. Boys will be boys. No matter if they're a couple thousand or 17 years old."
The Titaness then placed a hand on her grandson's pod and smiled.
"You will do great things in the future, Percy," Rhea remarked. "Not only will you face my husband, but also my mother."
She then walked over to her son's pod.
"You've made me proud, my son," Rhea started. "I just wish your brother wouldn't be so paranoid... You cannot stop a prophecy. No matter how hard you try, they will always be completed."
The Titaness then walked out of the basement, but not before turning off the lights and leaving the healing pods as the only source of light.
