C H A P T E R ' 3

[Eurydice's POV]

Dahan dahan kong binuksan ang malaking pinto sa harap, at Sumilip muna ako bago tuluyang pumasok. A slight of Relief hint in my eyes nang wala akong makitang kahit isang istudyante sa loob. Buti nalang class hour ngayon. Silence welcomed me inside. A common atmosphere for a library.

I slowly close the door, and look around. A librarian counter, small wooden chairs and tables, books, bookshelves and big windows.

Naglakad ako papalit sa isang bookshelf at binasa isaisa ang mga title ng mga libro. I can't find it! Where is it?

Hawak hawak ko ang isang libro nang biglang may nagsalita sa likuran ko kaya napatalon ako ng mahina dahil sa gulat,

"May I help you Miss?" lumingon ako sa nagsasalita, and I face a woman. By just looking at her, she must be in her middle-forties.

"U-uh, ano kasi.. I'm looking for Magicland's history book." Nagdadalawang sabi ko sa kanya, she look strict with her glasses and wooden cane.

She had grayish eyes like Sab's, but Darker and Sharper, also It has a bit shade of pale green. She look straight into my eyes for a minute, like studying me.

I quickly got conscious on whats in my face when she frowned, but, in a split of second ngumiti siya saakin. Uh, Weird?

"Follow me." Sabi neto at sumunod nalang ako sa kanya, we stopped in front of a two huge bookshelves. Nandito ba yung libro?

But before I could ask, biglang naghiwalay ang dalawang shelves at bumungad sa amin ang isang sekretong pinto. Just Wow!

Pumusok kami dito at ang sunod na nangyari nahulog ang panga ko sa Pagkamangha.

A circle-shaped room-Taller than a tower-para kaming nasa loob ng isang cylinder. Tumambad saamin ang napakadaming libro, umaabot ang bookshelves mula sa kisame hanggang sahig. Nakadikit ang mga iyon mismo sa pader.

Tanging mahabang salamin na bintana sa gitna ang nag-hihiwalay sa mga ito. Meroon din akong nakitang lumulutang na mikikintab na bilog na platforms.

Meroong tig' Isang puting bilog na lamesa at upuan doon. And also seen again small Fairies flying everywhere, each of them are with small feather duster, broom, dustpan, at iba pang panglinis.

I couldn't stop myself from being hypnotized of the place's beauty. Kung ganito lang kagandang aklatan ang nasa dati kong paaralan, malamang dadalaw ako palagi.

"Libro ng kasaysayan ang hinahanap mo diba, Hija?" Tumango lang ako sa tanong ng matanda, ang akala ko'y kukuha siya ng isang hagdan para umakyat, pero nagkamali ako dahil bigla nalang siyang nagkaroon ng mga pakpak kagaya ng mga alitaptap. Sheyt! Hindi ako makahinga dahil sa pagkabigla at pagkamangha.

'Oh Eurydice, Magic Exist here! Keep that on your mind!' Sigaw ko sa loob ng utak ko.

Lumipad siya papunta sa mga libro, some of the books are looking old and vintage, at bumalik siya agad pababa--patungo saakin na may dalang dalawang maalikabok na libro. A red and black covered books.

"These are the oldest history books from the library. Ramdam ko na maganda ang pakay mo rito kaya ibinibigay ko na ito sayo. Alam kong makakatulong ito ng malaki sayo. Alagaan at iingatan mo yan." Nakangiting sabi neto saakin.

My eyes glitter in happiness at hindi ko maiwasang yumakap sa kanya, "Seryoso po?! Akin na talaga?! I promise iingatan ko ang mga ito!" I said happily, matapos kong magpasalamat ay kumalas na ako sa pagkakayakap sa kanya.

"Matagal ko nang hinihintay kang makita ulit. Natapos ko na rin sa wakas ang aking tungkulin dito. Magiingat ka palagi, Belle." Nakangiting sabi niya at bigla nalang siyang nawala na parang bula sa harap ko.

In a blink of an eye, nasa labas na ulit ako ng library, Hindi makapaniwalang nakaharap sa nakasaradong pinto nito.

What did just happened?

Paano niya nalaman ang pangalan ko, well, she called me Belle, when its actually Elle. Baka nagkamali lang siya.

Napatingin ako sa hawak ko, Ang Dalawang librong bigay saakin ng matanda. Nagtaasan ang balahibo ko bigla, Ano ba yung mga pinagsasabi niya?

Dali dali akong umalis palayo sa library. Habang naglalakad patungo sa hallway ay hindi ko maiwasan mapatingin sa librong dala ko.

Suddenly my stomach feels like My intestines are twisted inside. And It made me gag, Like the book is shouting me to open it.

Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko na silipin ang laman nito nang biglang may bumangga sakin at Nahulog ko ang mga ito sa sahig,

"Ouch! My ass!" Masamang tingin ang ipinukol ko sa kanya habang tumitingala ako sa lintek na nakabangga sakin, Marahas siyang tumayo nang hindi man lang ako tinutulungan. It's a jerk. Gwapo pa naman sana!

"Aren't you gonna help to stand up or humingi man lang nang tawad?" Tumayo ako't pinagpag ang pants ko, at pinulot ang mga librong nasa sahig. Lintek talagang walang hiya!

"It's not my fault that you are dumbly not looking where you are going Miss. besides, this is a hallway, and not a reading-area. Idiot," He said bluntly, Heck what? Idiot?

"At talagang ako pa ang tanga ha?! Eh kung tumitingin karin sa dinadaan mo edi sana hindi mo rin ako mababangga!" I said in a greeted teeth,

"Retard!" I shouted.

Before I could take a step to leave, I realize I was flying already through the air. I winched as my spine felt like shattering when my back hit so hard in the marbled wall.

This boy pressed himself against mine, his hands either side of my head.

"What did you just called me, redhead?" He leaned closer and I could see his eyes has a vivid shade of Violet, finer than any jewel I've ever seen.

His mesmerizing deadly eyes made me feels like my soul was being swallowed in a deepest black hole.

Dahil sa ang lapit niya na saakin, nafocus ko bigla maigi kung gaano ka ganda ang kanyang mga features; His hair was fiery coal black, spiked and messy. He has a hallow reddish cheeks that match his long pointed nose and his lips were stained kissable bloody red.

His skin was porcelain white. He was tall and lean too, and I could see beneath his shirt is masculine body. Wait, Why the hell am I explaining how good looking he is?

"Hey Stupid, Stop drooling." He mischievously smirked.

"Y-you.. R-retard! How dare you to call me stupid?!" I scowled. His gaze fixed dead ahead, staring straight into my eyes.

"Tough," He paused, "Green-eyed redhead." He said with husky, low, and sexy voice.

I flinched at his reference to my eyes-an odd shade of emerald green-I have been used to this kind of insults, having freak eyes and a copper color of hair.

Well, It matches my eyecolor kaya kinulayan ko nalang nang ganun ang buhok ko.

"Fuck off!" Sigaw ko mismo sa pagmumukha niya at tinulak siya ng malakas kaya nakalayo siya saakin ng konti. I take that opportunity to blow a punch on his stomach part.

"You'll pay this one, redhead." He did not raise his voice or change his tone but still it sent shivers down my spine.

Tapang-tapangan akong humarap sa kanya, at tuluyang tumalikod.

Hindi ako mapakaling umuupo dito sa cafeteria habang umiinom ng Cocoa Gold Coffee; Tasted like a bittersweet cocoa and has a color of gold liquid. Where the fuck is Sab and Aurora by the way?!

I messed up with someone here in the academy, at dapat ipinasok ko sa kukuti ko na may kapangyarihan ang bawat estudyante dito. Shit! Naku, lagot talaga ako neto!

"HEY!" Somebody slapped my face and abruptly I came back to reality. Talking about being rudely awakened.

"Aba, nakarami kana nang sampal sakin Sab ah!" Masamang tingin ang ipinukol ko sa kanya,

"I'm not to be blame." She defended herself. I just rolled my eyes.

"How's your class? Is that hard to take the both of you for so long?" Yun lang ang naisip ko para makapag simula nang topic.

"We didn't attended." Sab said, I frowned.

"Because we are working for your fake files and documents in this school." Sagot naman ni Aurora sa nakakunot kong noo.

"Naayos narin namin ang dormitory problem mo," Sab added, "We've also change your profile into Elle Willows, as my great, great, cousin."

I just nooded, Napagusapan na kasi namin na Ibahin yung pangalan ko para hindi maghinala saakin ang mga taga Faculties. Annoying right?

"And Oh, Your going to take a test tomorrow morning para malaman kung asan ka na Tier nabebelong." Biglang sambat Ulit ni Aurora.

"Okay lang kung wala kang maipakitang kapangyarihan, they will think na late-bloomer ka lang, just play with a goody goody attitude." Tumango lang ulit ako.

Since when did I turn into a noody dog?

"Err, You see guys... Uh.." I started opening up, God! I've never been nervous like this before!

"Hmm?"

"Erm, Nothing." Hindi ko nalang tinuloy ang balak kong gustong sabihin sa kanila, its about what happen earlier in the hallway.

Bago ako tuluyang umalis ay nagsalita ulit yung lalaki kaya napahinto ako.

"Hey Redhead!" He shouted, kaya napatingin ako ulit sa kanya.

The next thing I saw have almost knocked the life out of me. I stiffened of what I've saw. He held his hand and a spark started, All I know is he was holding a ball flame with just his bare hands--A Dark Blue fire that turn into a Violet Flame.

"Meet me in the Mystic Woods Tomorrow midnight, Or I'll burn the girls dormitory with you and your friends. Got it redhead?" Tapos bigla nalang siyang nawala sa paningin ko.

Hayst. Malaki talagang problema ang napasok ko nanaman. Am I that trouble magnet?

"You see guys, may nakita akong isang lalaki kanina." I paused and sip the getting-cold-coffee. "He was holding a Blue then turn into Violet flame. I just want to know kung kilala niyo siya."

"A Violet flame?" Aurora repeated of what I've mention,

"That must be Zach!" Sab exclaimed happily, na para bang nakahula siya sa isang guessing game.

"Zach? The hell who?" I ask out of curiosity.

"Hey, Shsss.. Don't cuss! Somebody might hear you and kick your butt ." Sabi ni Sab na hininaan ang boses niya tsaka tumingin-tingin sa paligid.

"Specially In public, Elle. Don't dare to curse that Hot Devilish Prince or any royalty." Aurora Added at itinuloy ang pagkain niya ng kanyang beloved pizza. Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya, Heck! He's a Prince?

Ulit nagsalita si Aurora nangmapansin niya ang nakakunot kong noo, "He's Zach Ezekiel Capulet, The famous baddest boy here in the Academy. He's a prince of Silver Amethyst Kingdom. He's also one of the Top 10 Powerful Student, pero Hindi siya kabilang sa Dusk Tier dahil sa hindi kaaya-ayang ugali niya."

"So, I bet Dawn siya, kagaya niyo?" Natitiyak kong hula, pero Iling lamang ang isinauli nila.

"Hundred Percent Wrong. He belongs in the Midnight Tier. "

"Hey Elle, Cut it Out! Nakakahilo ka na ah!" I stop and give a bored look on Sab's Remark.

I looked at her furiously and continued pacing back and forth in the whole room.

How I want to Enjoy my first night here in this Magically Awesome Cute Room, well, hindi ko alam kung matatawag pa tong' Room dahil kasing laki nito ang isang Condo.

Meroong sariling sala, kitchen, bathroom, at tatlong bedroom. Sab in the Blue Bedroom, Aurora's Rose Pink Bedroom, while me, doon sa bakanteng Green Bedroom. No choice eh.

Nasa kitchen kami ngayon. Sab is sitting in one of the stool bars here while drinking again her favorite golden cappuccino, while, Aurora is baking inside, while me, Ito Hindi mapakali dahil sa kakaisip sa usapan namin ni Zach. Paano ko ba to sasabihin sa kanilang Aurora?

Oh God, pupunta ba talaga ako dun bukas ng gabi at makipagkita sa lalaking yun? o tatakas nalang sa usapan at hayaang sunugin niya ang dormitory na'to at patayin kaming lahat?

Arghh! Napakamot nalang ako sa ulo ko dahil sa frustration. Baka kasi rapist yun! Hayst! Kailangan kong isama bukas sina Sab saakin para naman may kakampi ako.

"Uy! May kuto ka ano?" Napatingin naman ako kay Aurora na kakalabas lang doon sa Baking Area at lumapit saamin na daladala ang isang newly baked chocolate & caramel 2 layer cake, Woah! looks really delicious! Nilagay niya iyun sa parang isang bar counter na pinalilibutan ng bilog na Stool bars, where Sab was actually sitting.

"Lang' ya! Nag-eexist rin ba ang mga kuto dito?" Nanlaking mata kong' tanong.

"Ewan." both of them just shrugged. Loko tong mga 'to!

Pumunta nalang ako sa sala, Umupo sa couch at tsaka inilabas ang librong ibinigay saakin nung matandang babae sa library kanina.

"Magicland's History" I said a loud reading the engraved writing on the thick red cover of the old book in my hand.

Binuksan ko ito, bumungad saakin ang ilang mga letra at salita na hindi ko maintindihan.

"Woah!? Where the hell did you got this book?" Bigla akong napatingin kay Aurora na nasa gilid ko na pala with sab na kumakain rin nung' cake.

"A middle forty old woman in the library with fairy wings gave it to me." I said with a weird tone just like my weird description.

"WHAT!? You just saw and talked to the legendary librarian? WOOW! I've always wanted to met her, sabi nila isa siyang engkantada na minsan lang magpakita sa mga estudyante." Aurora said dreamily with a little hint of jealousy in her voice.

"Haha! Pagpasensiyahan mo na ang Nerdy-Attitude niya." Natatawang sabi ni Sab.

Aurora just rolled her eyes, "Whatever Sab, I've been here 8 years already at hindi ko pa siya nakikita man lang, samantalang ikaw na wala pang bente-kwatro oras dito ay nakilala at nakausap mo na siya. Bruh! I'm pretty jealous!"

"Walong taon kanang nag-aaral dito?" Manghang tanong ko. She nodded.

"Sampung taong gulang palang ako noon nang makita ng magulang ko na may taglay akong kapangyarihan. A blessing from Gnowee, The Goddess of Light whos torch is the sun."

"Woah, A blessing from a Goddess. COOL!"

"Nah. It's not that cool. I'm just a light-bender, and besides, kung may taglay kang isang kapangyarihan galing sa isang Dyos o Dyosa, direkta kang magiging isa sa mga tagapaglingkod nang isang kaharian, at agad ako kinuha ng Council at pinaaral sa Olympian High para sanayin ang kapangyarihan ko." She paused sadly,

"All I want is to live normally with my family in the village." Mahina't malungkot na sabi niya. That's must be really awful.

"Uh, Sab, eh ikaw? Saan galing yang kapangyarihan mo? at Ilang taon ka na dito nag-aaral?" I said to lighten up the mood.

"Hmm.." Ilang segundo pa itong nagiisip bago magsalita,

"Mga Tatlong taon pa ako dito. At yeah, Isa akong Shape-shiftier, A Blessing from Artemis, the Goddess of Hunt and Animals." Huminto muna ito bago magsalita ulit, "Kagaya ng kapangyarihan niya, Anyong hayop lang ang kaya ko. And Also, I'm still on the process of learning sa pagiiba ng anyo nang ibang tao, kasi sarili ko lang ang alam kong ibahin."

I just nodded, "Ilang taon na ba kayo?" Wala sa sarilig tanong ko.

"19 years old." Sabi ni sab, "I'm 18 years old. You?" Nakangiting Tanong ni Aurora saakin,

"17, mage-eighteen ako next month." nahihiyang sabi ko sa kanila, kung nasa dati kong mundo ako ngayon, siguro excited si grandpa na maghanda ng debut.

"Woah! then we should celebrate!" masaya't masiglang sabi ni Aurora, "But, as for now, Matulog at magpahinga muna tayo, Tommorrow is another day." Sabi niya sabay tayo at humikab,

"Good Night Girls." Tumayo na si Sab at naglakad sa silid-tulugan niya,

"Okay, Good Night." tugon ko sakanila at pumunta narin sa bedroom ko, I suddenly look at the books in my hand, maybe I could take a little look, sabi ko sa utak ko, hindi pa naman ako inaantok.

The dim light from the moon was seeping through the thin fabric covering the window's terrace, I turned off the light at tsaka Umupo sa maliit na table na nasa tabi ng kama ko, at binuksan ang maliit na lampara doon,agad kong inilagay ang libro at binuksan ito,

"Once upon a time," I paused and frowned, aba ano 'to isang bedtime story?

Binaliwalang bahala ko nalang ang iniisip ko at nagpatuloy sa pagbabasa,

"There are 2 galaxies in the universe, One time, Both of them collided that made the whole universe gone unbalance. An unnamed thing happened, And it is when the Magicland has been made."

"The 1st Era was ruled by Queen Jewel, and the Era was named after her, 'Jewel Era', In that time, The major Gods and Goddesses has existed."

"In the 2nd Era a huge war had happened, but Queen Crystal, the daughter of Queen Jewel, Managed to maintain peace in the Entire Magicland, and Also Titans and Titanesses had existed in that time, the Era was named Crystal Era."

"The 3rd era was called Diamond Era, ruled by King Diamond, the great grandson of Queen Crystal, where the Giants and Mortals has started living together. King Diamond was the First Man who became the ruler in magicland, He fell inlove with a mortal, A beautiful and gold hearted woman named Gem."

"Their love became stronger and deeper, and they both know that it was forbidden, An Immortal cannot love a mere-mortal, but the King secretly marry gem, and they had their first offspring, A half Immortal with the the power of Gods and Goddesses."

"It was the First Demi-God." Bigla akong napahinto sa pagbabasa,

Powers. Immortals. Gods. Goddesses. Giants. Titans. Titanesse. Magics. & Demi-gods. It so funny that 24 hours ago I didn't believe those things were actually true.

I would laughed at those things before. But now, those words sent a whole new world to me.

It just didn't make sense, I believe before that Magics and powers are just meant to give awesome fairy tales imagination to children. But right now, They're meant to be real.
