Olivia North

My meeting went unbelievably well today considering that Mr. Cooper was known as one of the ruthless men in the oil world. He's the same age as dad, but unlike dad, he doesn't seem to smile much, in every photo she would just stare at the camera, just like he's staring deep into your soul.

That's why when we heard from him that he's willing to discuss our proposal with him, Nikkie and I jumped happily in my office. I haven't told anyone that I was targeting to do business and have a joint venture with him to our oil division because I want to keep it a secret first.

Now that he already agreed, we will finalize the proposal and scheduled the signing the same.

I was beaming when Nikkie and I arrived at the lobby.

"Nikkie, Jones will drive you back to the office, I will just have lunch with Niccolo and later we'll finalize everything, okay." I said cheerfully and she smiled at me widely and hopped inside the Bentley.

I, on the other hand, hopped in my newly bought McLaren 720s in maroon. I just bought this last week when I got to closed the deal with Sanjay Gupta.

After I gave my car to the valet, I went straight up to Nick's floor to ask him to have lunch with me.

I passed by Edna and she said that Nick's in his office, I looked at Didith's cabin and saw that it was empty. Maybe she and Nick are discussing something so I listened first before knocking. They may be discussing something important and I didn't want to disturb them.

But I heard Nick shouted, "ENOUGH! Don't you fucking dare to compare yourself to her, Cassandra. You're nothing compared to her. You're just an envious and insecure woman. So don't you fucking think that I will cheat on her with you because I love her so much and between Olivia and you, she's way more attractive and above you. So get lost!"

I was gobsmacked when I heard Niccolo say that he loves me. It was true, he really was in love with me. Oh my God. I want to cry... Wait, was I dreaming?

I pinched my arm and groaned when I felt it. Oh my God, it's true, he loves me!! He really loves me!

But Cassandra? Cassandra who? Don't tell me it's the bitch? I opened the door and I saw her caressing Nick's cheek. I saw red and went to her directly.

I slapped her with all the force in my body. She wasn't expecting it that's why she fell on her butt. But I wasn't done with her, I grabbed her hair to stand her up and spoke.

And what did she say? I ruined her life? How the hell did I ruin her life and what the fuck was she talking about that I was not who I really am. What? Do I have persona? What the fuck was this bitch was talking about? 

When she left the room, Nick immediately tried to explain himself but I remembered what I heard a while, that he loves me. So I didn't let him finish his explanation and kissed him immediately.

I was going to say I love him but instead of saying it, I said I trusted him. Which was true, I trust him way before I've fallen in love with him. That's why I never get jealous whenever she's talking with some girls.

Yes I got mad when someone's flirting with him but it doesn't mean I was jealous, I was just being territorial. I can it in Nick's eyes that whenever I was with him, he never looked at anyone but me. He never even acknowledged all the subtle flirtations that women gave him. If he ever noticed it, he will dismissed it immediately by hugging or kissing me. Telling them that he's already taken by me.

After that incident, I immediately called Sanjay and warned him to not let Cassandra handle their partnership with Knights, Inc., a I have said to the bitch, I did not tell Sanjay what she did to Nick because I know that he will fire her in no time. So instead of telling him what happened, I told him just the vague part of it.

Jowee and Erin learned what happened that's why they forced me to tell them the whole story even thought I clearly told them that Nick and I have a date tonight.

"Really? That bitch really threw herself to Niccolo? She really is a shameless human being." Erin spoke after I told them what happened.

Meanwhile, Jowee was helping me pick out a dress for tonight.

"I wish I was there to see her reaction when you slapped the shit out of her." Jowee chuckled while rummaging into my dresses.

"Yeah right. How does it feel though?" Erin asked laughing.

"Feel what?" I asked her while curling my hair.

"How does it feel that after so many years of bitching you, you gave her what she deserved?" Erin expounded. I smiled at her widely and answered.

"It felt so good you know, even though my hand hurts. I mean, I didn't know that slapping a bitch hurts." I said as I finished curling my hair. I stood up from my vanity and took the wine colored dress with high slit on the side from Jowee. Then we headed to my room.

"Do you know how she looked like when she landed on her bum? You can see it in her eyes that she wasn't expecting it." I said and I demonstrated how I slapped her which earned me laughters from them.

"Well she didn't think that you won't hurt her because you never had, even when you caught her and Francis fucking in his apartment in your anniversary." Jowee commented and I nodded.

I can still clearly remember what happened that night. Francis called me cancelling our anniversary date because he told me he was busy finalizing his report that's why I planned to bring our celebration in his apartment to surprise him. But what I didn't know that I was the one who will be surprised. I caught him and Cassandra fucking on his couch. When they both saw me, the bitch just smirked at me while Francis, told me that it's because he has needs. He didn't even apologized to me.

So that night, I just gave them the cold shoulder and went to Jowee's apartment. I didn't show them that I was hurt because it would give them the satisfaction. I only cried and showed my vulnerability to Dad, Zac, Erin, and Jowee. And now, Niccolo. 

"Yeah, right. Anyway, let's talk about that Rebecca. She really thinks so highly of herself huh, because that old hag prefers her than you." Erin spoke changing the subject.

"Hey, I told you to not call her that." I defended Mrs. Knights.

"No one cares, Livy. She treats you like trash, you did everything you can to woo her and yet she's being difficult to you. And that ugly parrot Rebecca, why are you still being good to her?" Jowee countered and I just sighed.

She has a point but what can I do? I didn't want to just give up on her, I knew that one day she'll like me.

"We all know that Nick and I will eventually get married, Jowee, that's why I was forcing myself in being nice to them." I replied to her, yes I was being nice to them even at Rebecca because up until I think of what I will do to her to stop feeding Mrs. Knights lies about me, I will still continue to be diplomatic with her.

"But still, Livy, you didn't like--" Erin spoke but Olivia interrupted her.

"Yes I didn't like it but what can I do, I have to be kind to them because eventually we'll be a family. If I have to act that I'm okay with everything then I will. Remember, I promised dad that I will do everything so that when I married Nick, everything's fine." I sighed when I remembered the talk I had with my dad after Dylan's birthday, apparently he saw Rebecca and I's little confrontation.

He told me to be kind to her because it will not help my situation if I will return her actions towards me. He told me that I should remember that she still favored by Mrs. Knights'.

"Ugh, I'm so grateful that my dad did not fixed me to a stranger or else I would be in your situation." Jowee spoke and I just smiled at her.

"You know, J. Even though Mrs. Knights is being difficult, I am still happy. Now that I know that Nick's also in love with me, I didn't think that I can be discouraged in wooing Mrs. Knights." I said and both of their mouth were hanging open. I think it was because of Nick's in love with me.

But before I can tell them to close their mouth, my phone rang and I saw Nick's name. I signalled them to shush even though they're still in the state of shock.

"Hi baby." I answered the call cheerfully.

"Olivia, I'm so sorry but I don't think we can have our date tonight. My meeting will be extended. I'm so sorry, I'll make it up to you next time. I have to go." He hung up before I can even say something to him. Well this is the first time he cancelled our date.
And he sounded like he really was busy, well it's frustrating but I understand so I texted him.

Nick, don't forget to eat dinner, okay. Call me when you get home. Take care always.

I pouted and looked at my best friends who's slowly getting out of the shock.

"Niccolo loves you?" Jowee was the first one who got out of the shock and then Erin spoke.

"I knew it! I knew it he loves her too. I can see it in his eyes, the way she looked at you, Livy!" Erin pulled me into a hug and Jowee joined us.

"How did he tell you?" Erin asked getting out of our embrace.

"He didn't, I heard him say it to Cassandra." I said while hugging the pillow tightly. Oh God, just remembering it causes the butterflies in my stomach in chaos.

"Oh my God, you're not going out like that, you need to be so sexy so that when he sees you tonight, he'll confess his love for you." Jowee pulled me but I pulled her back.

"Jowee, tonight's date was cancelled. Nick's still in a meeting. He was the one who just called me to inform me about the extension of their meeting." I told them sadly but I quickly smiled.

"Nevertheless, at least I already know that he loves me. Right?" I said happily and they squealed.

"Well, since your date was already cancelled, let's have a girls night tonight! Let's celebrate the love between Olivia and Niccolo." Erin announced and we all squealed happily.

A week has passed and since that night, I haven't seen nor even heard from him. I tried calling him but it always went to his voicemails.

Once I called to him asking him to spend some time with me and Dylan but he told me that he really was busy so he can't accompany us. So in the end, I spent time with Dylan which turned out to be so fun and tiresome.

A while ago I called you Didith to ask if Nick had eaten lunch but she said that he hasn't, that's why I planned to bring him some food for him.

As I neared his office, I heard him shout, "Give me those damn report now Carlisle, or this will be your last week!"

What the hell? He's mad! He's fucking mad! I knocked at Didith's cabin and saw her pale face.

"What happened?" I asked her and she looked up at me.

"Ms. North, I-I'm sorry. i didn't know you'll be here." She stood up and ran a hand on her hair to comb it. She looked so stressed. You can clearly see the mood of the boss just by looking at his secretary.

"What happened?" I asked again softly.

"Mr. Knights didn't like the report that was shown to him last week, that's why he asked me to arrange meetings with the department heads. This is the first time in six years I saw him so mad, Ms. North. He threatened everyone that he will fire them if they won't giv---" the intercom interrupted her and she looked at it in horror.

I nodded at her to encourage her to pick it up. I halted her when she was about to pick up the receiver and I pressed the speaker button.

"Where was the file that I asked you? It still hasn't reached me yet, Didith! Give me the file now! And you, get out!" His anger-laced voice boomed inside Didith's cabin and hung up. Then as if on cue, a man exited from Nick's room looking so worn out.

I couldn't say anything because this is the first time I heard him so angry. I don't think I can handle him. Anyway, let me just give him his food, maybe he's hungry that's why he's this angry.

After Didith handed him the file, I took a deep breathe and willed myself to get inside and give him his food. I mean he won't transfer his anger on me, right? I'm not one of his employees. 

I knocked at his door and I heard his strict come in. I gulped and opened the door. I poked my head and saw him busy reviewing the document he's holding. Good, he's occupied.

I walked carefully at him and when he looked up and saw me, his eyes got darker as if he doesn't want to see me. I smiled at him instead and stood in front of him.

"Hi Nick, I heard from Didith that you still haven't had lunch yet. I brought some for you." I smiled at him completely hiding the unpleasant feeling of being unwanted.

He was just looking at me without any emotions in his eyes nor his face, it really was uncomfortable.

After what seems like a painful minute of silence, he spoke. "I'm busy, Olivia. I don't have time to eat." Then he returned to the documents he was reviewing.

I didn't know if I should leave or not, so I made up my mind to force him to eat.

"Nick, come on, just eat a little bit. You need food in your system, please. Just listen to me today." I pleaded and went beside him and held his shoulder.

He took a deep breathe and spoke.

"Olivia, I told you I am not hungry. So plea---"

"NO! You will eat! I won't leave until I see you eat a little. I came all the way here to ensure that you eat." I said stubbornly and faced him to me. I shouldn't have done that because by the time I saw his eyes, I saw it hardened and it became angrier as it already was.

"You didn't have to, Olivia. I didn't ask you to do that, did I. So, if you want, take your food and go to your office. I have a lot of things to do and the last thing I want is to be treated like a baby." He spat those words out and stood up towering me.

I took a step back and looked at him in shock. What is going on? Why is he being like this? What made him angry? He's scarier than Zachary when mad.

"You're not being treated like a baby, Niccolo, I just want you to eat something so that---"

"I don't fucking care! I told you I'm so fucking busy to eat something. If I wanted to eat then I would've done it awhile ago. I won't trouble you in any way. So why don't you just go back to where you came from because I won't ask for you to take care of me!" He snapped at me and I couldn't believe that this is Niccolo. Why was he transferring his anger to me?

"Fine! If you don't want to eat then don't! Go starve yourself." I said and took the paper bag from his desk and stormed off his office.

What the hell? What happened to him? This is the second time I saw him snapped at me. The first time when we were having lunch in Erin's hotel. But that was when I provoked him. Today was different, I just asked him to eat and hd snapped at me. His eyes, that's what's the scariest. He used to look at me with admiration and contentment even when he's angry or vexed. But a while ago was different, it held anger.
