Gaston

Meanwhile, Fionna and Marshall ran right into each other. Literally.

“Fi, I’m so sorry. I know you hate it when I get all overprotective and stuff but... I worry.” He said, helping her up.

“It’s okay, Marshall. I’m a little glad about it, it shows me how much you care. Can...can you forgive me for blowing it all out of proportion?” She sighed.

“Fi, you have the fieriest spirit I’ve ever come across. That’s never going to change- at least, not if I have anything to do with it. To tell you the truth, I’d be worried if you didn’t blow all that out of proportion.” Marshall said, shaking his head slowly.

She leaned up to kiss him, smiling, but then pulled away, frowning. “This was harder than I thought it would be.”

Marshall nodded. “I wish I could... oh, Fi, it’s just too much.”

“I know. Can we just...?”

“No. The show must go on.” Marshall sighed, gritting his teeth.

Then they were back in TV’s room for a scene with Flame Prince and Jacob. In the Disney version, Maurice was worried for his daughter. In this story, he was trying to sell his daughter off to the highest bidder.

Olivia frowned. “I still don’t get how that and Ally together created actual heroes.” She said, gesturing to the screen.

TV shrugged. “Surely he wasn’t...?”

“Please, TV. He was the stereotypical politician. Oh... No offense, Fionna.”

“What?” Fionna asked. She and Marshall had been making out.

"Nothing." Olivia and TV said. Fionna moved to go back to making out with Marshall, but then they noticed the screen.

“So- will you save her?” Jacob asked, grinning maliciously again.

Fionna glared at the screen. “That evil, no good, rotten-”

“Oh good, you’re not offended by what I just said.” Olivia said happily. Fionna shot her an odd look, but said nothing.

“I don’t know- you act more like you’re conducting a business deal. “ Flame Prince said warily.

“Trust me, Gaston! You storm the castle, free my daughter, you two get married and live happily ever after.” Jacob said smarmily.

“Do I get any say in this?” Fionna asked, glaring at the screen. Marshall nodded, narrowing his eyes at the screen.

“But... she may not want to go.” Jacob added reflectively.

Why?” Flame Prince asked suspiciously.

“Well, apparently, she was friends with the owner of the castle a long time ago. She may not realize the danger.” Jacob said.

“Oh, I’m the one who puts her in danger? I’m the one who does that? You’re trying to set up a marriage contract for her with someone made of fire!” Marshall snarled.

“Well, what are we going to do about it?” Fionna asked.

“Serve him poisoned tea?” Olivia asked excitedly.

They all shot her a confused look. “Well, there’s not that much I can do as a teapot.” She said, a little sheepishly.

“We can tie him up in the basement or something.” Fionna suggested.

“No- that just fuels the myth, and next thing we know, we have people knocking on our door at all hours, trying to kill me and gain glory.” Marshall said, frowning.

“In the Disney version, she turned him back into a human after Gaston died. That may have helped.” TV said thoughtfully.

“But only in Disney would no one question any part of this.” Olivia argued.

“Okay... so what can we do?” TV asked, pausing the movie so they could think.

“Can they bring in the swords and cannons and guns and warfare type things from Pirates of the Caribbean?” Olivia asked.

“I don’t think so.” TV said sheepishly.

“Can we get Siofra Grear back?” Fionna asked.

“Um... here’s the thing... after Twilight, she said if I ever put her through that again, I’d be a PSP forever.”

They all glared at her. “Plus- she severed my control over her.” TV added.

“Okay- so what can we do?” Fionna asked.

“Well...I can give you each one thing... Olivia, you can have your human body back, complete with your green fire.”

“Sweet.” Olivia said appreciatively.

“Fionna, you can have any sword from any movie. Inigo Montoya’s, Will Turner’s, anyone’s.”

“Um... can I have Anduril please? Or Excalibur?”

“Sure. As soon as you get back. Marshall, I don’t exactly know what to give you.”

“My bass.”

“Your bass?”

“Yeah- it also works as an axe.” Here he grinned wickedly, and TV nodded. “Fine.”

Then TV continued the movie.

“I’ll go alone.” Flame Prince decided. TV started humming, ‘Poor Old Judd is Dead’ from Oklahoma.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Jacob asked uneasily.

“Yes- an army would attract their attention. I’m not going to hurt anyone... yet, I’m just going to infiltrate the castle, find your daughter, escape the castle with the girl, and bring her back to the village.”

“Simple, effective, I like it. But I should warn you- I’ve talked to the owner of the castle, and the way that he talked about my daughter, I don’t think he’ll give her up easily. And... she says she loves him.” Fionna leaned against Marshall, who put his arm around her shoulder and kissed the top of her head.

“Be that as it may- he is not Gaston. And who could turn down Gaston?” Flame Prince asked, smiling. TV, Fionna and Olivia raised their hands briefly. “And have I ever told you how glad I am that you aren’t Gaston?” Fionna asked Marshall, who grinned and shook his head.

"I'm quite curious- who is this 'Gaston' that the prat is speaking of?" Olivia asked.

TV grinned. "Speaking of himself in third person is a little off-putting, isn't it?"

"Yes. It almost makes me not want to attack him, but he's not doing it because he's an idiot. Well... that too..."

Almost immediately, the three of them were zapped back into the movie. "I hate the constant zapping." Olivia muttered.
