Honor Thy Father - II

*That's' what Lizzie is wearing when they go to court*

"Can you tell us what happened on the island, Mister Queen? And who is this little girl that seems to always be with you?" A male reporter asked Papa. I looked up to Papa and with the look on his face, I recognized that he was remembering something, I didn't know what, but he was. I hugged his leg tighter now.

"Tell us about the island. You spent five yours on an island-" reports kept asking and I almost let go of Papa. I was close to being overwhelmed with the people clamoring us before we were able to get inside.

(Hey guys, quick A.N., I'm not going to do the court scene mainly because I don't really know how to include Lizzie in it.)

"Now, onto the offices. Everyone is waiting to meet you and Elizabeth there," Miss Queen told Papa and I as we were heading downstairs to the car. I tried very hard to not look down at the bottom of stairs. I was deathly afraid of heights. I gripped onto Papa even more so. Papa looked at me as I was sitting on his hip, I leaned into his shoulder and closed my eyes, he put a hand on my head and started stroking my hair.

"Uh, mom, that was a... a little bit heavier than I was expecting it to be," Papa stopped and looked at Miss Moira, Mister Walter and Mister Tommy looked at Papa and me. "Can we do that tomorrow? Please?" Miss Moira looked at him with sad but understanding eyes. Miss Moira turned to Mister Walter and both nodded.

"Of course," Miss Moira said after turning back to Papa.

"Thank you. I'm gonna take, Lizzie home now," Papa said softly. All five of us started heading to

"Last week, you couldn't wait to get to the company," Mister Tommy told Papa. I giggled at Mister Tommy's confusion.

"Tommy, I'd just spent five years away from civilization, along with Lizzie. Though she never really experienced it," Papa informed Mister Tommy. "I wasn't exactly thinking straight. And lizzie needs a nap." I gave a fake pout and a huff. I then laugh a Papa's face he makes at me. Papa's face soon vanishes as he sees Miss Laurel as we turn the corner. I smile brighter when I see her, because of what Papa has told me about her. I waved at Miss Laurel when I saw her.

"I...Hi," Papa says as he sees her. Mister Tommy looks uncomfortable.

"What are you doing here?" Miss Laural asks Papa, she doesn't seem happy. Two other girls are behind her.

"Oh, uh, they were bringing me back from the dead," Papa finally says after he shakes his head. I giggle a little at his awkwardness. "Legally speaking. What are you doing here?"

"My job," Miss Laurel told him a little snarkily. I didn't like the tone she was using and had a pout on my face and wrapped my arms around Papa's neck.

"More like the DA's," Miss Johanna laughs a little. There was an awkward silence.

"Hi, Oliver Queen, this is Elizabeth Lawson Queen. She doesn't talk much," Papa says when he sees the other person behind Miss Laurel.

"Uh, Emily Nocenti," she introduced.

"Oliver just got back from five years on an uncharted island," Miss Laurel turned her head to tell Miss Emily. Miss Laural looked very mad. "Before that, he was cheating on me with my sister. He was with when she died, and last week he told me to stay away from him. It was really good advice. Goodbye Lizzie. Excuse me."

Miss Laural and Miss Johanna and Miss Emily went with her as she walked past me Papa and Mister Tommy. I gave Papa another hug.

"Come on, buddy, shake it off. Let's go," Mister Tommy Told Papa. Mister Tommy turned to me, "you wanna go get some ice cream?"

I perked up at the sound of ice cream and nodded vigorously. Mister Tommy laughed and we started outside.

When we got outside a bunch of reporters were clamoring who seems to be a Mister Somers. As he walked away, they saw me and Papa and started to come over to us. Papa just kept quiet and just pushed his way through. I leaned my head on him and tried not to look around. When Papa and I got in the car, Papa closed the door and left Mister Tommy and Mister Dig behind a drove off. I pouted.

"Lizzie, what's wrong?" Papa asked me when he saw me.

"I wanted ice cream," I said while continuing to pout. Papa laughed.

"We'll get some later," Papa told me and I smiled.

"Promise?" I asked.

"Promise," he said with a genuine smile and I now had a huge grin on my face.

"Papa, can I try the bow and arrow?" I asked Papa as he was training. He smiled and signaled me over to where the case he brought back from the island was. He opened it and removed the first layer of cloth. Below it was a smaller bow and arrow that was fit for me. I smiled, next to the bow and arrow was a set of throwing knives. I picked up my bow and arrow and aimed it at the wall. Papa threw the tennis balls in the air and I shot all of them to the wall. I smiled; it was the best I've ever done.

"Ma'am, I truly do not know," I heard Mister Dig say to Miss Moira. Papa was walking into the living room, he put me down and told me to wait out here. I waited by the door and listened in.

"And he truly doesn't," I heard Papa say to Miss Moira and Mister Dig.

"Then Perhaps you'd like to share with me, you know, where it is you run off to," Miss Moira told Papa.

"I don't think you should be listening, Miss Lizzie," Miss Raisa told me, I had a surprised look on my face when I heard her. I tried to avoid eye contact. "Come on, let's get you ready for bed." She held out her hand, and I slowly stood up.

"But Papa-" I started.

"It will be quick, I promise," Miss Raisa told me, I slowly nodded and headed upstairs to Papa's and my room so I could take a bath and change. The bath was weird, I have had only so few baths in my life that I found them weird. I changed into a set of really nice pj's that I didn't really feel comfortable wearing form the price it must have cost. I stayed up waiting till Papa came up here, it was a little bit but I didn't really care. I just sat in the bed and waited.

"As you can see, Oliver, we've modernized quite a bit," Mister Walter told Papa as we exited the elevator. I was playing with my locket from my birth parent's as I was being carried by Mister Dig. I showed Mister Dig my locket and smiled. He smiled when he saw it to. In the locket is my birth family, but on the other side of them is me with Papa.

People were looking at me as we walked in and they walked out.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Miss Moira asked Papa.

"Yes, I am," Papa said while looking around. I didn't know what to think. I didn't know what to do, I was a little bored as well.

As Papa was talking with Mister and Miss Walter and Moira I was waiting and saw a woman walking out. She looked familiar. I remembered that she was the person who Papa and I saw when we were here for a couple of days. I walked up to her and smiled. She looked down at me with a surprised look on her face.

"Hi, I'm Felicity Smoak. Are you lost?" she asked me. I shook my head, no. "Then where are your parents?"

I grabbed her hand and started pulling her to where Papa was in the office.

"Oh, uh, ok. Where are we going?" Miss Felicity asked me. When we got to the door, Papa saw us. He had a surprised look on his face and started to come over to us.

"Hey, Lizzie. Where'd you go? And who's this?" Papa asked once he crouched down to my level. I smiled.

"Papa, this is the girl from when we were here a while ago," I whispered so soft that the cameras couldn't pick me up. Papa gave an awkward smile and stood up to face Miss Smoak.

"I'm sorry about her. She's only seven," Papa apologized for me. I pouted.

"I-I S-st-still di-didn't get an-any ic-ice cre-cream," I stuttered out with a pout. Miss Moira was surprised that I spoke when she heard Papa apologize for me.

"We can get some, after this, thank you for bringing her back to me," Papa said to Miss Felicity and he then picked me up and swung me in the air as he smiled. I laughed. He swung me around a few times before putting me on his hip. Mister Dig made his way over to us as we were about to leave.
As soon as we made it outside, we were bombarded with paparazzi. We were close enough to be hugging the wall as we headed to the car.

"The driver'll be here in a minute," Mister Dig told us.

"Okay," Papa didn't seem to happy.

"You know I spent the first 27 years of my life in Starling City, and the next five in Afghanistan. You wanna know what I learned?" Mister Sig broke the short silence.

"There's no place like home?" Papa guessed.

"No, just the opposite. Home is a battlefield. Back home, they're all trying to get you. Get you both to open up, be somebody you're not sure you are anymore or ever was," Mister Dig told Papa and I. "Or I could behave wrong. Maybe after five years with just the two of you, you're not as messed up in the head as you have every right to be."

"I-I-ice, cr-cream?" I whispered after a moment. Mister Dig gave a soft chuckle while Papa just smiled.

"Attorney for shipping magnate, Martin Somers has confirmed his client has no intention of testifying, maintaining his innocence is the wrongful death of Victor Nocenti. Nocenti's body was found four weeks ago. We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available..." the man on the news was saying. I sat on the bed and played with one of Miss Thea's old stuffed animals while Papa was changing. I've seen all his scars, I have multiple scars as well, but the majority of Papa's are from protecting me. I heard someone at the door gasp. I turned over with a surprised face when I saw Miss Thea. She was staring at Papa and that scars on his back.

"Uh, wait, how did you get those?" Thea said while walking inside quicker. Papa made this made face and scoffs.

"Don't you know?" Papa asks her.

"No, wait, mom said that... there were scars..." Miss Thea said while turning Papa to see them. She was shocked to say the least. Papa just stood there staring at the wall with a stone face. "I-I'm... Oliver, what happened to you out there? Does Lizzie have scars as well?" Miss Thea asks him, truly worried. I look down.

Papa looks down, avoiding eye contact with her and said softly, "I don't wanna talk about it," as he started buttoning up his shirt. Miss Thea scoffs at him, she looks at me then back to Papa.

"Of course, you don't. You never wanna talk to me about anything. Except for my social life, and Lizzie doesn't ever talk," Miss Thea says while walking out.

"Wait!" Papa said while looking at me for a second then turning to Miss Thea. "Where are you going?"

"Why should I tell you?" she asks him sarcastically.

"I'm sorry, Thea," Papa says while walking up to her. I slowly get up and follow. "I, no, we need to get better... at talking about what happened to us there. But I am not ready yet, and I don't think Lizzie is ready yet, either. Okay?"

"Do you have a second?" Miss Thea asks Papa.

"Yeah," Papa tells her.

"Good. I wanna show you something out back," Miss Thea says while heading out. Papa goes over to the bed to grab his jacket and me. He picks up my jacket and helps me put it on then he puts his on and he takes my hand and we start to follow Miss Thea.

'Sometimes, when I... felt... whatever," Miss Thea starts as the three of us walk over to where two gravestones are. "I'd come here. About a month after the funeral's mom stopped going out. Pretty soon she stopped talking altogether. The house got so quiet, so I'd come here. To talk to you. I mean, stupid stuff. Like what I was doing that day, what boy I had a crush on. And then sometimes, I'd ask you, beg you to find your way home to me. Now, here you are. With a daughter. And the truth is, I felt closer to you when you were dead. Look, I know it was he** where you both were. But it was he** here to. You gotta let me in, Ollie. Both of you gotta let someone in." Miss Thea was on the verge of tears as she walked away. Papa looked to me and thought about it for a moment.

I don't really know anyone my age. I didn't know anyone really. But Papa knows people, I knew he would let at least one other person in.
