Chapter 13: Firestarter

(Sorry for taking so long! I'll be trying to update more often but I started a new Fairy Tail Fanfic, check it out please!!!)

Thanks to Gajeel we were able to follow Natsu, and the trail. We had been walking for a few days but were doing okay on rations. I was walking while looking up at the sky. It was a particularly good day, these past few days had been, thank goodness because if it hadn't we might have given up by now. Grey was walking with his hands in his pockets, not realizing that he'd stripped and Juvia was stalking him, even though it probably wasn't necessary. She could stare straight out and he wouldn't notice. Erza was shinning one of her billions of swords while walking and when I asked about it she shrugged. "I need to keep my equipment in top shape, Lucy, and it needs to happen sometime." I nodded and kept walking.

Gajeel, Happy, and Panther Lily were up at the front. Gajeel was still following Natsu's scent (we still hadn't caught up to him) and the exceeds were using aera to keep watch. Master was walking next to Erza, obviously deep in thought, probably thinking up a plan of some sort and Levy with with me, though instead of looking at the sky she was reading a book. We had a long day of travel, but all too soon it was over. The sun seemed to be setting and clouds were starting to gather. "Master," said Panther Lily, landing on Erza's other side. "Yes?" asked the Master, opening his eyes to look at the black exceed.

"It would be smart to stop for the night," Panther Lily recommended. "There's a high possibility of a storm tonight." Master nodded and we stopped for camp. Besides, "Salamander is near," Gajeel had said. "And I don't think he's going anywhere in this storm." I was looking for fire wood in the forest when, oof! I tripped over something, or more specifically, someone. "Foooood," he groaned. "Natsu!" I yelled, furious with his idiocy. So, I decided to, instead of returing with fire wood, I decided to return with a firestarter.

"Hey guys, look what I found!" I said, stumbling into camp with Natsu being dragged behind me. "Fooood," he moaned again and we all sweat dropped. "Figures." said Happy. Master nodded. "Good work Lucy, now this time bring back fire wood." I nod. "Yes, Master," I say and skip away. I soon came back with firewood and since Natsu was still being an idiot, I started a fire. But, obviously, when he smelt fire, he woke up. And then he dad something mallet worthy. He ate the fire. "Natsu!!!" I yelled at him. "Can't you wait?!?" He looked up at me. "Oh, Hi Luce." I sweat dropped. "Natsu, you haven't been paying attention, have you. You idiot! You ran off without us! It's your own fault that you're hungry! Now you start the fire!"

I walked over to Levy who was chopping up meat for the stew, took a knife and started helping. "Uhhh, Lu-chan, are you okay?" I looked up and realized that I had been releasing a murderous aura. "Oh, uh, it's, um, nothing, Levy-chan, don't worry about it!" She looked at me suspiciously. "Really, really, I promise!" I insisted. She still looked at me funny, but stopped bugging me about it. "Alright..." she said, and went back to chopping up food. I went back to the task at hand.

The next morning we were up and moving and both Gajeel and Natsu finally agreed on something, that having no breakfast sucked. I just rolled my eyes at this and kept walking with Levy. We were having a good time, talking about the book she had finished yesterday. It was an Action, Mystery, Romance novel that was written by one of our favorite authors! So, we were about halfway through the book in the conversation when *BAM* we ran into something, and slipped down it with smushed faces. "Owww," I said, rubbing my face. "That hurt.

Gajeel and Natsu were laughing their heads off and Levy and I were getting just a little annoyed. With little tick marks on our foreheads we both yelled as loud as we could, "IT'S NOT FUNNY!" And started chasing them. They immediately stopped laughing and ran for their lives. "That's it! You BETTER run!" I yelled at them, then Levy and I smirked at each other and gradually, oh so slowly went in a circle and herded them back to the group. We had almost caught up when *BAM* Natsu and Gajeel hit the invisible wall. "Owww," they complained.

"Ha, not so funny anymore, is it boys?" I asked them, with a demonic look and murderous aura to match Levy's. "Nothing." they squeak. Erza walks up to the invisible wall and puts her hand on it. "Natsu, Gajeel, is the smell coming from behind here?" she asks, and they nod, vigorously. "Well then, we'll have to find a way through." says Erza. "Okay!"

We set up camp there for a bit, to save time later, and began the search. There were 3 groups: Group Erza was tracing the wall to the right, Group Master was tracing the wall to the left, and then Grouop Natsu was watching/tracing from above using Happy and Charle's Aera. In Group Erza were Erza, Juvia, and Levy, In Group Master were Master, Gajeel, Grey, Panther Lily, and In Group Natsu were Natsu, Happy, Lucy, and Charle. Soon, Group Master found a hole that we could fit through but by then it was dark, so Grey left a trail of ice for us to follow the next day.

So, happy and satisfied for the day, we settled down to sleep. "Night Luce." said Natsu. "Night, Firestarter!" I teased back. Maybe this would turn out alright. Little did I know...
