Chapter 12: Why I Hate Doctors

No seriously, I hate them... so creepy.

I looked up from my thoughts as a door creaked open. As soon as I saw it was Jason, I went back to my thoughts. "Oh so I'm not important?" He asked me, dragging me back out of my thoughts. I glared at him, geez, couldn't a girl get some quiet around here?

In the past two hours I had been given a strange treatment. There were three doctors in the room sitting and scribbling on pieces of paper like they had been since they injected me with the cold liquid.

Jason turned to the scientists. "Is this an effect?" He asked. The nearest one shook his head. "According to the data she is just annoyed that she has had no peace and quiet," the scientist said, looking at one of the meter's that they'd brought in. Jason scoffed. "She's a prisoner, why is she this quiet? I told boss that she was already strong enough! Even though I put the Shocker on full blast for a second and she came out fine, this stuff could kill her!?!"

Another of the scientists smirked. "Has master Jason accumulated a crush on his prisoner? I don't think master would like that~!" He singsonged. My eyes went wide and I starred at Jason. Was it possible? Could he... no. It was impossible, I was strictly his prisoner, no more, no less.

Jason was equally shocked. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" He roared. "She is only here to complete the ceremony, then we can finally down the magic council! Suiro no testy no ken!" He exclaimed, racing forward and pounding the doctor through the wall.

My eyes went wide as the wind touched my skin for the first time in at least seven years, not just because I realized he was a dragon slayer. "Crap." Said Jason and he quickly did something that regenerated the wall. My face fell as the touch of the wind left. I fell back, only now realizing that I had stood up. Jason stood there, panting for breath. He glarred at the doctors. "I will observe her, you may go." They all shuffled out, quickly, and terrified as mice. Once they were gone he shut the door, and sighed.

"I apologize." He said shortly. "I did not agree to the injection. But they insisted since you need to be in top condition for-" he stopped, sighed, and muttered something. I looked at him curiously. He looked up at me and spoke again. "Ya know, I never actually introduced myself. I'm Jason, second in command of Dragon's Fire. You?" I cleared my throat and tried to speak but couldn't more than a whisper. "Wisp." I whispered, in a hoares voice.

He looked at me strange and seemed to realize something. "You know, that's the first time I've heard you make noise other than one's saying you're in pain..." I looked at him pointedly. "And who's fault is that?" I asked, then fell off the cot coughing, hard. He caught me, and laid me carefully on the cot. Huh, why was he asking like this... it was almost as if he cared abou- No, stop thinking about it. You are is prisoner. He is simply saving you for later. Then I realized something. He was blonde with blue eyes. Blue. Whenever I'd seen him before he'd had green eyes, then I realized something. ...mind controlled people and mages took on the eye color of the caster... he'd probably been mind controlled.

He sighed. "I hate to say this but you're right, me." He paused and muttered something under his breath. Well, I just thought that I'd tell you that Wendy is safe, for now, and the preparations will be done in a month." And with that he left. Preparations? For what? And what was my long lost sister doing here? I lay on my cot and drifted to sleep, what a mess I'd gotten us into, Wen, what a mess... and it was all my fault.
