Akira's POV:

"A rubberman?!"

"What the heck is that?!"

"His arm just stretched! He's a monster!"

Akira watched with mild amusement as the marines were freaking out. Axe-hand Morgan also appeared to.

"Straw Hat is no ordinary human! He must have eaten one of the legendary Devil's Fruits." Morgan said with small beads of sweat.

"Devil Fruits? Those treasures of the sea?" One of the marines shouted. 'Well, I wouldn't say they're legendary since there's like more then a hundred of them in the Grandline and probably more in the new world...' Akira thought absently while playing with his fedora under his white hood.

"The Devil's Fruits...It is said that anybody who eats one obtains limitless power...The power to breath fire. The power to summon tsunamis. There are many rumors about them...but there exists almost no concrete data. Their secrets are believed to lie hidden within the Grand Line."

'Bing Bong! Correct!~' Akira thought with a small smile (or was that a smirk). His mouth was probably the only thing anyone could see since somehow his fedora and white cape/hood seems to be shadowing his face and hair.

"Either way, Straw Hat undoubtedly has the Devil's Fruit Power!" Morgan confirmed.

"Th-That's weird. The knot is getting even tighter." Luffy said in confusion.

"If guns won't work then chop him into pieces!" Morgan yelled, raising his axe replaced arm.

The Marines did a battle cry as they charged with there swords.

"LUFFY-SAN!" Coby panicked. I didn't see any other need for me to be here and they seemed to have forgotten about me so I walked calmly to the brick wall that was near Luffy and leaned on it, enjoying the show.

CLANG!

'Impressive. Even with a body that was starved for 3 weeks including barely any hydration he fends off 7 marines.' I concluded mentally while taking out an apple out of nowhere, taking a bite out of it.

"Whoa, so cool!" Luffy yelled in admiration. Zoro's eyes moved dangerously to the marines he was fending off.

"Move and you're dead." He said simply. I slightly pitied the marines as some of them cried in fright.

The clouds moved and blocked the sun, shadowing everyone. 'And here comes Zoro's big speech of ambition.' I thought as I excitedly watched as Zoro made a deal that probably would never come true anyway.

"I'll be a pirate. You have my word. By opposing t he Marines, I've become a wanted man...but let me make one thing clear. I will always pursue my own ambition!"

"Ambition?" Luffy questioned curiously.

"I'm going to become the world's greatest swordsman! And if you ever try to get in the way of that goal...I'll have you commit seppuku as an apology!"

'Does Luffy even know what seppuku is..?' I wondered. And should I do something? On a second thought I don't think I should interrupt and ruin Zoro and Luffy's moment. I mean, I already took Zoro's position as the first-mate anyway.

"The world's greatest swordsman? That's perfect! I 'd accept nothing less from the Pirate King's nakama!" Luffy grinned as if not knowing how selfish yet cool he sounded.

"Che. Now you're talking. In the end, it doesn't matter if I'm known as a devil or a saint. My name will be known all across the world!"

'Since I know what's going to happen, this all seems quite naive. Doesn't Roronoa know how big the world truly is. Come'on, this is East Blue. The weakest of the seas.' I thought while Eve was probably wondering why a 12-year old child was criticizing a 19 year old ambition.

"QUIT LOUGING AND KILL HIM!" Morgan ordered. The marines shivered with terrified faces.

"Get down, Zoro!" Luffy grinned as he lifted his leg back as if he was about to make some kind of killer soccer kick.

"GOMU GOMU MUCHI!"

'And there the marines go...' I chuckled at Morgans face when the marines were knocked back to him like bowling pins.

"What are you?!" Zoro asked once again as he got up. "I ate the Gomu Gomu Fruit." Luffy said simply as if it was normal.

"Gomu Gomu Fruit?" Zoro repeated with a look of surprise and confusion.

"So, he did eat a Devil's Fruit." Morgan confrimed, overhearing Luffy.

"Captain! We're no match for him!"

"They're wreaking havoc!"

"Zoro alone could defeat us!" The marines protested. Morgan's eyes got shadowed.

"This is a direct order! If you lack the guts to fight, shoot yourself in the head and save me the trouble! My division had no room for cowards!"

The marines cringed with shock.

'You don't even like him so why do you even follow him...' I thought. I uncomfortably straightened from my position on the wall. Its a good thing I have inhuman balance (I don't really know why since I never trained, but I'm guessing its in the power package) or else I would have fallen off these stilts much earlier.

"The Marines are in a disarray." Zoro raised his swords. Luffy zoomed off towards the marines, specifically the captain in my view.

"LUFFY-SAN! CRUSH THOSE MARINES!" Coby shouted out at the top of his lungs. I smiled at him, my respect for him growing by a little. Telling an enemy of his dreams to crush them? Crazy, but admirable.

Luffy's punch was blocked by his axe hand. 'Doesn't it hurt whenever he moves that thing?' I wondered with a shiver, seriously, the axe came out of his hand and the wood part was stretching out his skin through his elbows. How does he not feel any pain?!

"How dare a nameless punk like you defy me! I'm am Marine Captain, Axe- Hand Morgan!"

Luffy gave a poker face look. "I'm Luffy! Nice to meet you." He said as if answering a simple question while I snickered silently. Real life comedy is definitely somehow more funny then anime.

The rest of the fight can be summed up in 4 words. Luffy-Totally-Owned-Morgan

Moving on to where its not so boring.

"How dare you ruin Coby's dream!" Luffy yelled as he punched Morgan who was on the ground. Strong? Yes. Clumsy? Also yes. At least in my view.

"Stop! Straw Hat, check this out!" The floppy yellow thing screamed while shaking and had snot coming out of his nose.

Luffy expectantly ignored him. I would totally do the same thing though.

"Oi! Are you an idiot! I said look! Can't you see I got a hostage?!" The floppy- oh wait, I remember his name now, Helmeppo yelled while shakily pointing a gun at Coby who should have seen it coming or at least try to run away.

"Helmeppo-sama!" The marines said with slight awe, probably wondering how the heck a weakling like him could aim a gun.

"Oi!" Zoro said to make Luffy take notice, and Luffy did.

"If you want him to live, you'd better back off! If you try anything, he's dead!" Helmeppo claimed unconvincingly since he was still shaking. Luffy had that pokerface back on as he said nothing.

"LUFF-SAN! I don't want to hold you back...EVEN IF I DIE!-" "Yeah, I know!" Luffy grinned with full confidence.

"Give it up, you stupid son. Coby means what he says." Luffy said as he walked closer normally.

"DON'T MOVE! I SAID DON'T MOVE! I-I'LL SHOOT HIM!" Helmeppo stuttered pathetically, obviously scared of Luffy.

Morgan shadowed above Luffy as he continued to grin and prepared to make a move.

"B-BEHIND YOU!" Coby shouted in warning.

"GOMU GOMU NO.." Luffy began while I smiled and started walking towards all the action, time to be noticed again!~

"I'M MARINE CAPTAIN AXE-HAND MORGAN!" Morgan boomed. Zoro put one of his swords in his mouth as I took out my fans.

"D-Daddy! Hurry up and K-Kill hi-" "PISTOL!" Luffy's arm's shot out as Morgan's axe descended. I=

I smirked as I ran.

3rd POV:

Helmeppo flew as he got punch. Luffy grinned, the giant axe just barely almost touching his straw hat.

"Nice..."

Morgan fell back with white eyes and a dramatic scream. A green haired swords man and a white hooded figure holding 2 fans landed on the ground gracefully.

"...Zoro, Akira." Luffy finished, still grinning widely. Zoro smirked, "It was nothing, Captain."

Zoro's smirk fell as he turned to look at the Akira who was giving a two finger salute at Luffy. With one movement Akira closed his fans and made them disappear (in reality, he merely did really quick movement and tucked them in his cloak.)

The white hooded figure stood taller then Zoro (but he's actually using stilts). As if sensing Zoro's anticipation, he turned around but Zoro could see nothing since his face and hair was shadowed. Only his mouth which was curved into a small mysterious smile.

"Who are you?" Zoro asked with suspicion hinting in his voice lightly. He was obviously not asking a question, more like demanding it.

Akira's smile along with his amusement of messing with Zoro only grew. "We'll have to save our introductory's later but I could at least say this much. I'm not your enemy."

Akira turned around and focused his attention on the marines who were staring at shock at the scene.

"Captain Morgan got taken down!"

"I can't believe it!"

"Who are these guys?!"

Akira made his voice sound more mature and deeper to sound like he was older. "Anyone who still wants to arrest us, step forward!"

The marines were still in shock as they sweated under the heated gaze of Akira (even though they can't see his eyes) But again, in reality, Akira was using his half way trained Conquerors Haki to make his aura stand out.

Akira smiled gently as he pushed down his aura and said with a comforting voice. "If not, then put down your weapons and celebrate. This town is now free of Axe-Hand Morgan's rule, a disgrace to the Marines."

The marines celebrated, throwing there weapons and hats into the air. "Hooray!"

"We're free!"

"Yahoo!"

"His cruel reign is over!"

"Marines, banzai!"

"What? They're happy about their captain being defeated?" Luffy asked in nonchalant confusion.

"It's because they were all afraid of him!" Coby realized with a smile, relieved that the marines were not truly evil.

Akria turned around and walked to them, stopping next to Zoro. "Indeed Coby. Fear is needed to control others, the marines fear of Axe-Hand Morgan was enough to overcome there sense of justice and the reason they joined in the first place." Akira clarified.

At cue, Zoro collapsed and Akira was already prepared to catch him, though he had a little difficulty since he was on stilts.

"What's the matter, Zoro-san?! Are you hurt?" Coby panicked. Akira smiled reassuringly at Coby, "Zoro-san is just hungry. I'm impressed he lasted this long. A monster indeed."

Akira handed Zoro over to Luffy as he told them to go the Rika's restaurant with Coby. "I'll wrap things up here, Captain. And I make sure you'll be able to become a Marine too Coby as well as..." Akira's gaze shifted over to the unconcious Helmeppo for a moment before smiling back at his captain.

"Anyway, once news gets out that you defeated Morgan, I'm sure the towns folk will celebrate, so eat as much as you want at that restaurant."

Luffy nodded happily at the idea of food. "Mmn! I'll leave it to you Akira! FOOOOOOOOD!!!" Luffy dragged Zoro and Coby back to town with smoke trailing behind him as he ran.

Akira smiled at their direction before turning back to the marines with a mysterious smile. "Let's get down to business, shall we?"

Akira's POV:

After tying up the former Marine Captain, and getting some marine doctors to patch up Helmeppo then bring him to me.

Now what was I doing?

I slapped my hand down on the desk which caused the desk to shake. "You heard me, the pink headed geek and this floppy yellow thing are going to be marines. Great marines in fact. Period."

The second in command marine, Ripper I think that was his name jerked back in fright while hesitating.

Even though they couldn't see my face besides my mouth I smiled a close-eyed smile as I released a black aura behind me.

"There aren't any complaints, right? I'm aware that you've lost a lot of marines due to the Pirate Age and the more marines with enough potential joining will help you with your so called 'justice'."

"H-Hai, sir!" Ripper saluted, Eve was in my hood, sweat-dropping at the fact that a second in command marine got taken down by a few words from a 12-year old child.

"Great!" I smiled happily, the aura disappearing instantly. "Get me a den-den mushi and call the Marine headquarters, specifically Vice-Admiral, Monkey D. Garp."

"Vice-Admiral Garp?! Bu-" "Now." My eyes showed just that moment with such menace that promised death if disobeyed. "H-HAI!" The marine ran away. Like I said earlier. Fear is needed to control others, well if you wanted to get it done quickly.

A den den mushi was brought to me more quickly then I thought, I didn't know I was that good.

I sended the marines to head down to Luffy and the others as I observed the den den mushi.

Snail phones. I wonder who came up with such an idea? One Piece creators sure have a vivid imagination. I touched the sides of the snail, thankfully finding it not slimy or feel 'life-like' in anyway. I took the slip of paper the marine left behind and called Luffy's Grandfather as I distantly wondered if the snail was alive as it went 'purupuru purupuru'

"What do you want?" Garp answered. It sounded like his mouth was full. Probably eating donuts or rice crackers. I watched with metal interest at the den den mushi's expressions as I had a pokerface since I knew that Garp would be able to see my expressions as well.

"Is this Vice-Admiral, Monkey. D Garp?" I asked in a monotone voice.

"Yeah, what do you want, brat?" I'm assuming that Garp figured out I was someone young since my voice is a voice of a 12-year old.

My mouth curved into a small childish close eyed smile (or was that a smirk) as I said, "Its nice to meet you to, Garp-san! My name is Meredith D. Akira! First-mate of the Straw-hat Pirates."

"Pirates, eh? Never heard of you." Garp said with a suspicious tone, the den den mushi narrowing his eyes.

I continued the smile that 'innocent' smile. "Of course you haven't, we only formed today. By the way, your grandson makes an interesting captain! Monkey D. Luffy surely isn't a normal human that's for sure, coming into a marine base and somewhat destroying it all to help Pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro int order to convince him to be his nakama."

The den den mushi made a expression where it seemed that Garp spit whatever he was eating out.

"WHAAAAATTTT?!!!!! LUFFY BECAME A PIRATE?!! THAT DAMN BRAT! WHERE IS HE?! HE SHALL TASTE MY FIST OF LOVE!!" I winced slightly at the sudden but expected yelling.

"Fortunately for Senchou (Captain), he and our swordsman went to get something to eat, we're probably going to set out sailing soon though." I smirked in amusement.

"YOU BETTER WAIT RIGHT THERE! LUCKILY I'M IN EAST BLUE SO I'LL COME AND WHIP THAT STUPID GRANDSON OF MINE!" Garp boomed.

"Anyway, I called you without Luffy knowing, and to be honest, I don't think Senchou would like it if you knew he became a pirate, nor does he probably want to take your Fist of Love, but down to why I called you."

"You're the First-mate, huh? How did you meet my stupid grandson?" Garp asked, calming down and seemed kind of curious.

"Well, that's a story for another time!" I stated happily completely ignoring him. "Captain Axe-Hand Morgan who was stationed in Shell Town of East Blue was taxing people, killing his some marines who won't obey him, doing as he please, and to sum it all up putting every one under his cruel reign. Senchou came and beat him up. End of story. Since Luffy will probably never become a Marine like you always dream of because you want to protect him since his dad's Dragon and all, I'm sending two replacements. Coby who is a pink headed crybaby, and Helmeppo who was Morgan's son but overall, still not as guilty. If you hit them just right they could turn out big, especially Coby, he's probably going to be an admiral in the future. That's all."

"How the hell do you know that Luffy's father?! Why should I?! And how do you know this kind of stuff?!" Garp demanded.

"I know because I know a lot of things. And you will do it even if I didn't call you. I just thought I should let you know I exist. Luffy is a pirate, and you know better then I do that Luffy definitely is different from other people. The Will of D I suppose, right? He certainly will shake the world. I just wanted to tell you that I will look after him for you so no worries."

"..." Garp was silent and by the looks of the den den mushi it looked like he was somewhat touched.

"Even though I'm 5 years younger then him, you can count on me!" I finished childishly before hanging up.

Eve climbed out of my hood onto my shoulder and rubbed his ears against my neck. I snickered as I petted him slightly. "Maybe I shouldn't have added that last part."
