Akira's POV:

"Heh...so that's Zoro." Luffy stated as he stared curiously at the green-haired swordsman who was all bloody and beaten up. He was hanging over the wall as Coby was trying to get him down. I was leaning against the wall holding my hat lightly as if adjusting the angle to protect my eyes.

"That's right, Captain. Roronoa Zoro. Also known as the pirate hunter who uses Santroryu which is a three swords style made by him. Even though he's all bloody, beaten up, and obviously suffered 3 weeks of hunger, not to mention he's hanging there quite pathetically, I wouldn't underestimate him Captain. His will, pride, and dignity are strong, that it is." I said with a hint of pride that such a man would soon join the crew I just joined exactly 58 minutes, 34 seconds, and 12 milliseconds.

"Akira-san! He is a deadly blood-thirsty killer! He's in the marine's prison for a reason." Coby shushed, trying to make me quiet down more in case the said blood-thirsty swordsman did hear me.

I giggled slightly in amusement and excitement. "Fufufufu~ Really? Who knows, he might be in the execution yard for a good reason. Like saving a little girl from a vicious wolf that belonged to the son of metalhead morgan for example. Saa na, we'll have to see later."

I took my fedora off revealing my eyes and waving my hat slightly at them. "Senchou (Captiain), I leave the recruiting to you. I go get some supplies for our journey, kay? I'll meet up with you later."

Luffy nodded with his signiture laugth. "Shishishishi! Kay' but make sure you get lots of-"

"Meat. Don't forget I'm psychic Senchou. I'll buy that and some supplies we'll probably need, and some sake since Roronoa is quite obsessed with it. Just leave all the necessary duties to me, Captain" I winked playfully as a white hood that reached all the way to my feet appeared, I put the hood on until it hit my face completely, I turned around and walked to town.

Luffy's POV:

'A PSYCHIC IS ON MY CREW! SO COOOOOOOOL!' Luffy was celebrating in his mind with stars in his eyes as he stared off in the direction his new first mate went off to.

'Meat. Don't forget I'm psychic Senchou. I'll buy that and some supplies we'll probably need, and some sake since Roronoa is quite obsessed with it. Just leave all the necessary duties to me, Captain.'

"Ne, Coby..." Luffy said with his straw hat shadowing his eyes. "Yeah, Luffy-san?"

Luffy grinned his happy D-grin. "Having a trustworthy first-mate is a nice feeling isn't it!" He laughed happily.

Coby sweat-dropped a little but sighed and smiled slightly. "I think Akira-san would suit being your first-mate very well Luffy-san.

Luffy laughed louder, his soul filled with warmth. 'I wonder if this is what Shanks feels like to have a crew you can rely on..' Luffy wondered absently.

Akira's POV:

Entering town and dipping into a hidden alleyway, and swiped my finger in the air revealing a menu like Sword Art Online. Only it didn't have the same suggestions as it did in SAO.

Tapping on the 'missons' headlight, it opened up to reveal my current missions.

'Get to be the first-mate of the Strawhat pirates. Reward: 3 million beli. 1 level up on observation haki.'

'New title: First-mate of the Strawhat Pirates'

Its nice when pretty much all the missions reward you with money. A lot of money at that for a really simple mission. I pressed the 'acquire' button to add the rewards to my inventory. Then opening up the inventory I took out 2 million beli. Eve who was hiding in my cape jumped on my shoulder.

I smiled gleely, "Well, it looks like money will be no problem." I said to Eve as I tucked the money into my backpack. I distantly wondered if I should 'innocently' taunt Nami with the money. Sounds like fun. That way, none of my crew mates fall under debt. I thought happily.

I like Nami. I really do. But I kind of dislike her obsessiveness for money and putting her own crew mates under debt. A lot. This way, I can give money to them for free. And watch Nami get annoyed. And then dodge all her hits to annoy her even more.

Ok, moving on now.

As I promised Luffy, I brought plenty of meat and Sake for Zoro (Heck, I was like, 'money doesn't matter.' And spent 2 million beli on food and please note that that's a lot.) Putting all that in the inventory, I moved on as I ignored the store keepers staring at me for buying so much food in the first place then wondering where the heck all the food went as it glowed neon blue then disappeared.

Its one of the reasons I'm wearing a white hood right now. That way I won't have to face anything unnecessary. I was also standing on stilts after I left the Marine Base.

Hey, I'm only 12-year's old, of course I'm still short. And I don't want people to underestimate me so I'll have to look tall, you know how animals always do that to prove that they're stronger? I was at a height that was slightly taller then Zoro. The stilts were in boots to look like feet.

With the remaining money, I bought a first aid kit, some basic supplies, a sewing kit, and pretty much anything I found useful. By the end of my shopping spree I was left with 500 000 beli. A satisfying amount for my next shopping spree.

I looked up the menu to find that some time has past.

'If I'm correct, Luffy should be zooming off to Zoro to save him right after punching Axe-head Morgan's son. What was his name again? Anyway, he should be running past me right about..'

'Now.'

At cue, Luffy went zooming past me with exhausted Coby running after him. By the looks of things they were heading to the ugly Marine base. I snickered as I went running after them, holding back so I wouldn't pass them and make them stop and wonder if a whirlwind had passed them.

I arrived just in time to see Luffy 'Gomu Gomu Rocket!' to the top of the marine base to 'accidentally ' knock down that sorry excuse for a tower.

A couple of minutes passed as I admired Luffy's powers. That was the first time I've seen them in action after all. With my too-sharp hearing I was able to hear the commotion Luffy had probably caused. And with my unnatural vision I watched Luffy pass through the window dragging a floppy yellow thing...Hmm. I wonder what that is?

Eve who was on my shoulder jumped on my head and his ears twitched in a certain direction. Probably sensing the ruckus Luffy caused.

While my observational Haki wasn't fully mastered, it was the closest, probably 2 or 3 more days of dedicated training and I should be able to master it completely. Closing my eyes I sensed the presenses of Marines, the metal head captain, Luffy, metal head captain's son, Zoro, Coby, and I felt someone having greedy thoughts.

I opened my eyes and looked up at the tower. 'That's right, Nami was stealing at the Marine base wasn't she? Ma, I don't feel like dealing with her now..' I thought, right now we're recruiting Zoro.

Sensing the Marines entering and aiming to shoot at Zoro and the already shot Coby, I looked up at the Marine Tower to watch Luffy who would come down and make a dramatic rescue by deflecting the bullets.

Then Eve pawed me.

I looked at him to notice his necklace glowing and mentally groaned. Great, a new mission. What timing. I touched the necklace and a small hologram of my dad showed up.

"Yo, Akira! How is One Piece? Beautiful, no? Anyway, your new mission is to save Coby-chan and Zoro-chan from the bullets. I arranged it so that Luffy won't be able to make it in time to save them but he'll will be watching from the window. So this is your chance to impress you new captain and swordsman. Enjoy!" The hologram disappeared.

I had a small irked mark on the side of my head while I unconsciously released a large sigh, Eve doing the same. Swiping my finger to see the menu I looked under missions.

'Mission: Protect Zoro and Coby from Marine bullets. Reward: 5 million beli and mystery box.'

Ok, so the harder the missions, the larger the reward. But these missions are easy. Deflect some measly bullets with anime powers and you get 5 million beli?

Yep, money definitely won't be a problem.... In fact, if Nami joined and knew how much money I'll actually have at that time I'm 99.9% sure she will assassinate me to get my money.

Luckily its all in my inventory which only I can access.

My cat ears suddenly appeared with a small sparkle on my head. They twitched to Zoro and Coby's direction. I could hear the Marine's readying there guns.

Well, if Luffy won't be able to make it (which he was going to until my damn dad ruined his awesome moment) then I guess its up the first-mate to rescue the soon-to-be-worlds-greatest-swordsman.

"FIRE!" I heard one of the Marines shout.

I smirked as I jumped with inhuman speed onto the wall landing on all fours.

"Slow vision." I murmured, then everything in my eyes became slow even the bullets the just fired.

I watched the bullets practically soar towards Zoro in slow motion that would probably lose against a tortoise.

I jumped down and calmly walked towards them. Probably looking like some kind of wind in there eyes. When I stopped in front of them I took out the 2 steel-that-look-like-normal-paper-fans as I felt completely familiar with them as if they were apart of me.

I deflected the closest bullet coming towards me by hitting it gently with a fan, then another, and another.

Too easy.

Way too easy.

Lets make it a little more exciting.

I smirked as my ears disappeared along with my cat vision. Everything went to normal time. That also means the bullets were heading towards me at full speed. I lifted my fans and had a excited look in my eye.

The first few bullets grazed my cheek and arms, but I soon got use to the speeded up time and let out a full excited (and perhaps slightly insane) grin.

I didn't notice that Eve was looking at me with slight worry if he should be worried about the unusual look of yearning for excitement look in his young master's eyes.

Zoro's POV:

"FIRE!" One of the damn Marine's shouted.

'No!' I thought with the most panicked look I had in a while. 'I can't die yet! Not until I fulfil my ambition!"

In the last moment I closed my eyes, something I was greatly ashamed for later.

I opened my eyes when I heard a small 'cling'.

There was white. A tall white hooded man with small gloved hands was carrying two paper fans. I trained my vision and reaction time well even in my tired state. I knew that the moment I saw that man gracefully deflect the bullets with his two paper fans.

'Steel.' I thought. Those said paper fans were made out of steel.

As if dancing, the tall man in speed my eyes almost could not follow deflected all of the bullets.

"Who the heck are you?!" I yelled in shock. I know I could do that with my swords but that took years of practice.

"AKIRA-SAN?!?!" I looked to my left where the pink-haired kid stared with complete shock and amazement at the tall white clad figure. "HOW THE HELL DID YOU DEFLECT BULLETS WITH PAPER FANS?!?! HOW DID YOU SUDDENLY BECOME TALLER?!?! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!"

I started to ignore him when I realized that the pink-haired kid wasn't going to stop screaming about how the world must be ending.

The white hooded figure turned to look at me. I noticed that while his balance was amazing he seems to stumble slightly while turning around..Not to mention his feet were too large and seemed loose somehow.

I couldn't see his face partly because it was shadowed and partly because of my admitted weak state.

I couldn't only slightly see his mouth with was curved into a knowing smile. Which irked me for some reason.

"Who the hell are you?" I growled. The white hooded man chuckled in a surprisingly high yet warm voice. Sounded like a kid. What also freaked me out was the fact that sun rays suddenly appeared out of nowhere and birds started singing. But I ignored that for now with a slightly weirded out face.

"Its very nice to meet you as well Roronoa Zoro. 'Who the hell are you?' is a strange thing to ask someone who just saved your life and dream from being the World's greatest swordsman. I prefer a 'thank you' to be honest, but since its you I let it go." The man said in a mature yet still young and child sounding voice.

The fact that more sun rays shined, the birds sang louder, and that even flowers were starting to bloom freaked me out even more.

Before I could retort, a loud praise interrupted me.

"THAT. WAS. SO. AWESOOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!!!" And someone crashed jumped down in front of me as my eyes widened.

It was that staw hat kid who tried to recruit me earlier. And did his arms just freaking stretch?!

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?!" I was demanding some answers. The strawhat turned around and grinned a wide grin at me.

"Me? Shishishishishi! I'm a rubber man!"

A WHAT?!

Akira's POV:

"I. WILL. KILL. YOU. STRAW HAT!!!" A voice boomed interrupting Captain and our new swordsman bonding time. I didn't have to turn around to know that it was metal head slash sorry excuse for a marine captain.

Luffy apparently didn't care as he held out 3 swords almost in the reach of our new swordsman.

"I didn't know which one was yours so I took all three." Luffy stated naturally.

"I use all three," Zoro said, eyeing his swords with hunger and slight relief in his eyes as his sight rested on a certain white one. "I use a three swords style."

Luffy blinked several times, probably wondering where he would hold the third sword.

"Okay, take them." Luffy said with a slow grin. "But if you fight with me, you owe me. Being killed by the marines...or coming with me to be a pirate, which one will you choose." Akira mentally chuckled as Luffy pratcially sang the last one.

Luffy had the ability to blackmail. Who knew?

Zoro had a look of anger before it melting away into a smirk. "You son of a devil..."

Zoro grinned. "Fine, I would rather be pirate then die here."

Luffy danced around. "Yeah! A new crewmate!" Completely forgetting the situation they were in. "This is perfect!"

"I get it! Hurry at set me free!" Zoro yelled in irritation.

I smiled in amusement even if that smile was hidden by the shadows of my fedora and white hood.

'Believe me Zoro, you chose the right path. The world will shake under the name of the Straw hat pirates.' I thought with growing excitement.
