Chapter Ten - Nightmares

The rest of the night was a bit rough. K.O. wouldn't stop thinking about things. He kept on thinking until it was time for everyone to go to sleep.

"Hey,  K.O.," Mutie said. "Over here, I'll show you we're you'll be sleeping."

Mutie walked K.O. to a nicer catbed that had sheets and a small pillow. She waited for him to lie down in the bed before she tucked him inside. K.O. just looked at her, somewhat surprised. He didn't expect to be tucked into the bed, he just thought that he'd have to tuck himself in like he's been doing lately.

"I hope you sleep well and that your dreams aren't just a mix of a bunch of things that have happened before in different stories," she told him. "But the fact that this hasn't been updated in a while probably means it will be."

K.O. just looked at her with a confused look, but then he just shook his head and closed his eyes. He lied there, trying his best to fall asleep. He had trouble, but after a while he finally managed to close his eyes and fall asleep once again.

K.O. stood there, in a place that was similar to the plaza before it was wiped out, only it was storming outside. He walked slowly forward, shaking as the cold wind and rain hit against him. He stopped in front of a broken mirror with small blood stains on the ground around it.

Still shaking, he picked it up. There was a crack going down the middle of the mirror, and a few pieces of the mirror were missing. It still felt warm, as if the person holding it was under a lot of pressure trying to be someone else other than themselves.

He held the mirror to his chest, and he could almost feel the pain of the person that held onto it before. He felt their pain, he felt their urge to want to befriend an old friend. He felt this sinking feeling, knowing that the person that held the mirror beforehand felt this exact same feeling knowing that the person they wanted to befriend hated them so much.

He sighed and slowly moved the mirror away from his chest and looked at it. He started to feel bad for some random reason that he didn't understand. Though a sudden image in the mirror appeared, which caused him to snap out of his sad mood and scream loudly.

He saw a brutal image of what looked to be himself beaten up very badly in a forest. It was gruesome and horrifying, and it caused him to throw the mirror down as quickly as he could before he threw up. The mirror broke as it hit the ground, and lightning flashed at that moment.

He was shaking more than he was before and he felt sick to his stomach. It felt as if someone had ripped out all his organs after a failed attempt to pull out his ribcage. He felt weak and his throat started to get dry.

It felt as if his throat was getting squeezed by a noose. He was starting to not be able to breathe and it felt like his oxygen was being cut off. It felt as if the noose was getting tighter and tighter around his neck, and he hated the feeling.

He felt his vision fade away, and as it did it felt as if he was being hit by a car. He could've sworn that he was bleeding out and that he heard shrieks coming from Enid, and for some reason, his mom and Rad, but neither of those things were happening.

His vision went back to normal and he heard a laugh. He looked up and saw T.K.O., standing in front of him. He was laughing like a maniac, laughing at how much K.O. was suffering. "You really are an idiot," he said, making K.O. whimper.

T.K.O. continued to laugh as he placed his foot on top of K.O.'s head and started stepping as hard as he could. K.O. was forcing back the scream, praying that he wouldn't be killed. Suddenly, there was a loud crack, and T.K.O.'s foot went right through K.O.'s skull.

He smiled as he lifted his foot out of the now mashed up brain and wiped off the blood and brain chunks on the ground and started walking away, laughing.

K.O. quickly woke up, sweat covering his face. He tried to scream, but all that came out was a squeak. He looked around only to find out that almost everyone was asleep.

He didn't realize that he was shaking violently and that his breathing was starting to get heavy. He was lucky that Foxtail and Mutie were around and awake when he started to breath heavily.

The two ran over to him and looked over at each other. They knelt down to his height and tried to get him to calm down.

"K.O., it's okay, calm down," Mutie said, rubbing his back to ease his breathing.

"It was just a dream."

(A/n) Yikes! D:>

Also look at that, I'm finally updating this thing. I kinda had to do a filler chapter though because it's the only thing I could think about doing because my mind is still sort of blank right now. I'm slowly getting my motivation back so that's good xD

Also self-advertising here, but I started my 5th artbook on my ElectricEmo account and if you guys wanna check it out I'd really appreciate it, haha

Anyway.... I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Please vote and comment if you did, and I'll see you guys in the next one! ^.^
