K.O. continued asking Mutie questions, most of them being nonsensical. After the questions, the two just went to a normal conversation, and they just simply talked for a bit until Mutie said it was time for K.O. to rest.

"I'm going to let you sleep the rest of the time that you're here," Mutie declared. "It's beginning to become morning and I want you to rest before I get you up tonight when I'm taking you to the location I've been telling you about."

"Wait, you go out at night?" K.O. asked, causing Mutie to nod in response.

"Yep," she said. "It makes it easier to get around and hunt for resources and heroes. Also night seems like the best option for you to leave anyway, since you're definitely not going to get a very happy ending if you go out during the day and get caught by a villain."

K.O. just looked at the ground and let out a small yawn. He just realized that he's extremely tired and exhausted from everything that's happened today, and he just realized how much he wanted to go to bed.

"Don't worry, though," Mutie said. "I'll inform Foxtail of your arrival while you're asleep. Go ahead and rest, I'll wake you up when it's time."

With that, K.O. lied down on the bed, and drifted off to sleep.

K.O. was back at the beginning. There he was, sitting on his cardboard bed while Colewort and Potato were taking to each other. He let out a gasp and covered his mouth in shock. He didn't want to be back here, not after everything that had happened.

He just closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down. Sighing, he carefully stood up and walked over to Colewort and Potato, about ready to hear them talk to him about getting food.

Though to his surprise, they didn't do anything. They just stood there, not moving or even speaking. They were frozen in time and as lifeless as a statue. "Potato? Colewort?" He asked, his throat getting dry. "Are you guys there? Is that you?"

He reached out to touch Potato's shoulder, but jumped back the moment she glitched. He was breathing heavily, and his eyes went wide when Potato's head unrealistically turned to look at him, and her body didn't move an inch.

She gave K.O. a stare unlike anything he's ever seen before. Her lifeless eyes peered into his, and an unrealistic smile crossed her face. Suddenly, she glitched again, this time in front of him.

"HeLLo, K.O," she said to him, her voice echoing and filled with static. "iT's niCE tO SEe yOu aGAiN."

His eyes went wide horror as a black ooze mixed with blood started to drip from her eyes and mouth, much like T.K.O.'s in his last dream. Suddenly, she grabbed ahold of K.O.'s arm, and she didn't let go.

K.O. tried to fight back, but he felt something crawl up his arm. He looked down to see the black ooze spreading across his arm and Potato's hand seemingly melting into his.

"dOn't wOrrY aBOuT leTTinG mE dIE," she chuckled. "It'S pErFECtlY oKay, beCAuSE nOW wE cAN bE ToGEtheR FoREVeR."

The ooze continued crawling up his arm, and he felt Potato getting closer to him. Suddenly, she brought him into a hug, allowing the black ooze to spread even further across his body and allowing him and Potato to completely melt together. He let out a blood-piercing scream, but this only caused Potato to laugh.

"NoBOdY cAN hEAr yOU," she said, her voice starting to get distorted as she and K.O. continued to melt together. "TrUST mE, K.O., iT'S fOr ThE beST, AnYWay."

K.O. ignored Potato and screamed even more, but for some reason it wouldn't come out. This was when he realized his mouth was melted into Potato's ear, and that's when it stopped. His body was halfway melted into Potato's and what was created resembled an amalgamation.

Though Potato's mouth was still there, and she could still speak in her distorted, glitching, and static-like voice.

"I loVE yOU, K.O., anD I aLWaYS wiLL."

K.O. woke up with a scream, causing Mutie to look over at him quickly. He was panting and his heart was beating quickly. His body felt strange, and he quickly looked around him and felt all over his body to make sure that the dream was just a dream.

"Whoa, whoa, calm down!" Mutie said, running up to him. "What happened?!"

"Potato - she just - she was - she --" K.O. couldn't speak because his throat went dry because of the fear and shock that filled his body.

"Shh, shh, it's okay," Mutie said, pulling K.O. into a hug. "It was just a nightmare, it wasn't real."

K.O.'s breathing calmed down eventually and he hugged Mutie back tightly, trying to forget his awful nightmare.

He knew it was just a bad dream, but at the same time, it just felt so real.

Maybe a bit too real.

Welp, it's officially been a year since I made this account, but I already thanked everyone and stuff yesterday, so ye. Also this is mostly just a filler chapter, so don't worry about it too much :P
