Think this is my longest chapter yet.  Also go back to Part 8 because I had to go back and edit one part for this to make a little bit more sense....since I avoided the Canem and Mangler fight.... ;'3

Bdubs dropped down into an alley right behind where he was supposed to meet Scar and everyone. He lifted up his bandana, his eyes flickered to reveal their normal chocolate brown color. Bdubs happily rounded the corner, the presumed meeting place ahead. It was a small little smoothie shop. Above the door on a small sign read 'Three Fox Hole diner' He came to a slow stop at the door, and peered in. It had a kind of calm neon feel to it. He pulled open the door and gazed across the room for any familiar faces. He was greeted by a happily waving Keralis. Over at the table sat the smiling Swede, accompanied by Scar and Cub.

"Hey guys!" Bdubs said. "How is everyone?" Scar grinned as he greeted the man.

"Hello Bdubs! Glad you could make it." He said. Cub smiled at Scar's happy greeting. Bdubs turned to Cub.

"Congrats on the new company Cub!" Bdubs said enthusiastically. Cub waved his hand.

"Thanks but it's not really worth celebrating." As Cub finished his sentence, Scar spun to look at him.

"Then why are we here!?" He said, causing his voice to raise a few octaves. Cub laughed and turned to Keralis.

"Could yall go try to order something? I'll sit with Scar." Bdubs laughed and nodded as Scar looked at him.

"Haha- I'm not a child Cub!"

Bdubs walked over to the counter, open drink in hand. Keralis waved to him saying he was going to go order food for everyone. Bdubs nodded as he looked back across the room to where Scar and Cub were sitting. His eyes went back to the open cup of coffee, the liquid shaking as he set the cup onto the flat surface. From what seemed like out of nowhere, A guy walked up from the corner of Bdubs's eye, placing his own cup on the counter. As soon as Bdubs saw the guy, he began to feel that weird presence again. He shook his head and quickly reached over for a cup lid. Bdubs practically jumped when suddenly the guy started talking.

"This place has good coffee." He said, looking down at his own cup. Bdubs gave him an awkward nod, noticing his very cool accent. "Not that I would know though, I've never been here." Bdubs took a second to look at this guy. He was a little bit taller than Bdubs (as most people are). His messy brown hair was pulled back into a man bun, though a single tuft of hair seemed to want to be different and stuck out at the front. He wore a red shirt with black suspender straps, and had on a pair of dark shaded sunglasses. Something however, just didn't feel right about the guy. "Have you ever been here before?".

"Um, no? Though I'm sure their coffee is fine." Bdubs responded. The guy nodded and turned to look up at the cute neon fox art that sat on the wall.

"Well I guess new things are good. A change of scenery... It can be good for people." He said. Bdubs nodded. "Change can really shape a person, can't it?" The guy reached for a cup and snapped it onto the lid of his cup. Bdubs also went to snap his lid into place, thinking this guy was done. "Unless that change is bad." The guy continued. "And we wouldn't want anything bad to happen, Would we Luxshield." Bdubs hands slipped as the lid touched the cup. He looked up in a panic, his vision went bright as his eyes streamed a bit of light through them. 'Did this dude just- No...' Bdubs felt his face go pale as he looked at him. The guy chuckled. "Don't look so surprised!" His hand went up to his face. He held the sides of his glasses, sliding them down. Bdubs began to panic. The man looked at him, his left eye a dark hole, a void of nothingness with a swirling darkness, his other eye a vibrant blue. "Doccy sucks at keeping secrets~" Bdubs stood there in a frightened silence as the guy stared back at him with a villainous smile.

"Hey Bubbles! I got the-" Bdubs jumped as Keralis began to approach the two. Bdubs spun around to look at his friend, then back at the void eye guy. The two locked eyes. The guy smiled as his gaze then followed back to...

"Keralis!" Bdubs shouted. The guy quickly threw his arm forward, the shadows seemed to bend off the walls. In a fast motion, Bdubs pulled his bandana down and dove towards his friend. Keralis dropped the items in his hands. Bdubs slid forward and clapped his hands together. A large force field materialized around the two as the shadows came crashing down. The now solid shadows slammed against the bright energy field and suddenly dusted. People all around began to scream and run out the doors. From the corner of his eye he could see Cub quickly dragging Scar away from the chaos. Bdubs looked down at Keralis who was looking back at him with wide eyes.

"How.." Keralis began to stutter. "You're Luxshield??" It hurt to see his friend's confused and alarmed face, but that didn't matter now. He had to get him out of here. The force field shook as more shadows crashed down onto it. Bdubs turned away from Keralis and steadied the shield.

"Keralis you need to leave, Go to my apartment for now." Bdubs commanded in the calmest way he could through all the panic. Keralis blinked and nodded, quickly running for the doors. Bdubs willed the force field away as the shadows crept back towards the freaky villain. 'Who the hell is this guy?' Bdubs watched as the black shadows blended together, forming a large claw. The villain walked out through the bottom of the shadow, some of it molding around him and forming a long trench coat like jacket. The guy topped off the look with a dull and decaying dog skull.

"Nice to meet you Luxshield." The villain said, all of Bdubs' love for his accent was gone. "Now, the Mangler was easy to beat. Lets see how much of a foe you are to Canem Messorem!" He sneered, his grin grew as he swung his arm back. The claw followed his hand like a snake, quickly swiping down towards Bdubs. The Hero tensed up as he dodged the large claw. He summoned two energy orbs, speedily using one to propel himself up above the claw and using the other to blast right into the center of the freaky shadow hand. The orb crashed right through the center of it. Its light caused the shadows to dissipate back to the walls. Canem frowned and raised up his hand again. The shadow claw swung rapidly at Bdubs. The hero could not prepare himself in time and was slammed against one of the walls. Bdubs head crashed against the hard wall, dazing him for a second. The claw burst open as Bdubs threw an orb through it again. He leapt forward and aimed a fast punch towards Canem. The reaper quickly looked up, his gaze landing on the hero's shadow. Canem quickly stretched out his hand and grabbed ahold of the Bdubs's shadow. Bdubs let out a sound of alarm as he was yanked from the air and thrown to the floor. His shadow dragged him across the establishment's floor. Bdubs stood up and was immediately hit with pain. He lifted a hand to his face as blood dripped from a fresh wound. His right arm had deep scratch marks and everything felt bruised. 'Come on Bdubs, you can't break down now.' Canem tilted his head as he watched the hero stand. Bdubs smiled.

"N-Nice to meet you too...." He laughed quietly. Canem blinked and when he opened his eyes again, Bdubs had swiftly moved in front of him with energy orb in hand. "Time for my hello."

Doc sighed as he sat in Mumbo's work area. He was consistently checking to see if the arm was finished, instinctively threatening the spoon to speed the process. Mumbo sat in a comfortable silence as he worked away at the villain's limb. Doc stood up and walked over to the mechanic. He slightly loomed over him as he worked. Doc wasn't much taller than Mumbo, but enough to still give off a threatening effect.

"Will you stop looming over me. It's freaky-" Mumbo said, he waved his hand above where Doc stood. Doc took a step back.

"Just because I asked you to fix it doesn't mean I can't know and see what you do to it."

"I'm just adding some of the final things you thought of adding." The mechanic said as he twisted to pieces together.

"How do I know this thing won't blow to pieces if I use that thing." Doc said, his eyebrow raised in suspicion.

"As your Butler for the time being, it's kind of my job to complete tasks to the best of my ability." Mumbo said, his voice sounding a bit shaky. 'He must really hate whatever this 'Hermit Challenges' thing is.' Doc turned to one side of Mumbo's desk. A small radio began to static as Mumbo reached over to turn it up. "Oh news must be saying something."

"Why don't you have a TV or something?" Doc asked. Mumbo turned to look up at the villain.

"Eh I find radios fit the theme of the room better." He said. Doc smiled and looked back as the radio burst to life with sound.

"15 min ago, a strange villain began to attack at Three Fox Hole. LuxShield was seen inside trying to defeat this new figure." Doc's eye widened. 'No'. Doc reached for the robotic arm and began to snap it back into place on his shoulder. Mumbo looked at the villain in alarm.

"It's not done-"

"It's done enough." Doc hissed in pain as the arm connected. The villain flexed the fingers on the new arm, expecting them to do their usual twitch. But this time they didn't twitch. 'God he did a good job.' Doc grabbed his white coat and began to head for one of the open windows. Doc would just have to figure out how to use the arm now rather than later. He knew his own power would not work on Canem, so machinery was his best bet. "Thank you for your services Mumbo. You're released from your role. Time for me to go get some revenge on the guy who tore off my arm." Doc said. Mumbo stood up and nodded.

"Glad to have been of help Sir." Mumbo said, Doc could see the mechanic was slightly relieved. Doc turned back and jumped out the window. The villain didn't know why, but the thought of his hero getting slammed around by his old partner, got him really really angry.

Bdubs thrusted his hand forward, slamming the orb into Canem's chest. The reaper flew back, flipping around until his feet slid on the ground. Canem pulled his arm forward again as the claw rematerialized. 'How am I supposed to go up against this?!' Bdubs mind screamed. The hero dodged the claw as it came crashing down. Bdubs turned up to look at Canem as he walked up on top of the shadow claw.

"How did you figure out who I was!? And more importantly, Who is DOCCY!?" Bdubs shouted. Canem raised his face up, revealing a stupid grin.

"Well isn't it obvious? The reaper said, he waved his hand forward causing the claw to dissipate back into the shadows. Bdubs was taken aback. 'Can't this guy just give me a straight answer?" But then again, this guy was a villain, they never give straight answers. "Now this fight has been fun my dude, but I think it's time we end things." Canem clenched his fist and began to pull back, peeling the shadows off the walls. Bdubs braced himself, but before he could form any quick defensive move the hero felt his body be pulled from where he stood. The sudden pull caused him to stumble and look up to see the place where he previously was, get blasted with solid shadows. The hero's eyes widened. 'What the heck-'. The hold on his body stayed as he saw someone walk in front of him. 'Wait. This feels like...."

"Canem stop." The Mangler said, as he towered over the hero. Bdubs looked at him in shock and anger.

"Wha- Why are you here?!" Bdubs shouted. The Mangler looked over his shoulder, his robotic eye focusing on the hero.

"Do you want some help, or do you just want me to let him kill you instead?" He hissed. Bdubs tried to speak, but something held him back. He wouldn't say it out loud, but some help would be great.

"How cute. The Villain has come to claim his dear hero." Canem said, his hands raised with sarcastic quotations. Bdubs felt the Manglers hold on him fade and he stood up. The hero stepped awkwardly beside the villain. He shoved his elbow into the Manglers metal side.

"I don't need your help. L e a v e." He said, trying to ignore his thoughts. The Manglers looked down at him with an annoyed glare.

"I just saved your life you idiot, accept my help because there is a high chance you won't be getting it again." Both turned to Canem as he groaned.

"Oh come on. I beat you once Mangler, don't think I can't do it again?" Canem paused. "Looks like you fixed up that arm I tore off." Bdubs stared at the Mangler in alarm.

"He did what!?!?" The villain indeed had a new robotic arm, it had a much newer, shinier look along with all of its gears enclosed in metal. The Mangler's face grew dark. The Villain stood silent as he raised his metal hand forward.

"It has some new..improvements." He said before clenching his fingers together. Something clicked, causing small bombs to rocket outwards. Canem couldn't brace himself in time as the bombs released small explosions blasting him backwards. Bdubs and the Mangler were blasted back too, Bdubs quickly summoned a force field to brace his fall. He quickly turned to the Mangler who was standing up.

"Did you plan on that!?" Bdubs asked.

"Nope! But I'm glad it worked-" the Mangler said, a smile branched across his face. Bdubs stared at him in confusion. Suddenly shadows aimed themselves at the Mangler. Bdubs quickly threw his hand out, a force field flew from his hand to in front of the villain. The shadows crashed against the energy shield. The Mangler turned around in a calm surprise as Bdubs slid over to be able to hold the shield steady. "Oh why Thank you."

"Don't start being nice now!" Bdubs said, getting another slightly annoyed smirk from the Mangler. Canem stepped out from the dust and summoned his giant claw once more. Bdubs and the Mangler dashed in separate directions as the claw crashed down. It's force causing the ground to crash downwards, spreading dust everywhere.

"Can't you do your weird possession thing on him!!" Bdubs shouted. The Mangler looked at his metal arm trying to get it to do something else.

"My powers won't work on him, He's undead." The Mangler said, he smiled when two small knives popped out from the knuckles. Bdubs ran over and took the small knives from the villains hands. The Mangler looked at him slightly mad but stopped when Bdubs summoned two orbs. He placed the knives in the center of the orbs, the energy concentration keeping them in the center.

"This might work." He said. The Mangler smiled as Bdubs tried to spot the guy who was trying to kill them. Canem was looking around through the dust to try and find the duo. Bdubs jumped out and threw one of the orbs. Canem spun and saw it. Shadows jumped at it, swallowing the light of the orb whole but the knife cut through the shadows and hit Canem right in the arm. He shouted in agony as he stared at the knife that now stuck out of his arm. Bdubs gave an enthusiastic yes as he quickly threw the other. That one however missed and cut right into one of the diners support beams. Canem pulled the knife out of his arm and stared down at it. From the wound a strange black liquid leaked. The Mangler's eye widened.

"Void."

"Wha-" Bdubs said but was stopped by the entire building beginning to shake.

"This place is coming down, come on." The Mangler quickly grabbed Bdubs as the entire roof shifted downwards. Bdubs shouted in alarm as he was yanked from where he stood. His head turned to where Canem was. The reaper stood there, looking at the two of them. The reaper gave him a slight wave, followed by a smile. Bdubs eyes widened as Canem was swallowed by the shadows of the crashing room. The Mangler used brute force, crashing through one of the windows, dragging Bdubs with him. The loud crashing of concrete and wood echoed throughout the city. When Bdubs opened his eyes, he was laying on the concrete outside of the destroyed diner. The Mangler was leaned over on the ground, slowly standing up. Bdubs ignored all of the pain that ran through every part of his body as he sprang up and stumbled over to the Villain. Bdubs grabbed the villain by the coat and turned him to face him. Bdubs stared at the Mangler, his eyes full of anger and confusion.

"What. The. Hell."

I made a comic of the Canem  and Bdubs encounter owu
