Doc groaned as he shifted in his spot. Beneath him, he felt cold concrete as he moved to fix his hold on something next to him. The villain opened his eyes for a moment, then pulled the warmth closer to him. Doc's eyes opened fully as he turned to look at his surroundings. He was still on the roof of Bdubs apartment, the sun slowly making its way up over the buildings. Doc sighed and looked down. It was Bdubs, asleep and curled up against the villain. Doc's face went red as he remembered the night before. He had kissed him back. Bdubs had kissed him back. Bdubs must have stayed on the roof with him all night.

"Man, this is crazy." Doc laughed to himself, the cyborg then turning to kiss the hero on the head. The villain sat in comfortable silence for a bit, before carrying the hero bridal style back down to his apartment. Doc used his foot to slide open the door and made his way through the apartment. He passed the bathroom and used his knee to open the door to Bdubs' room. He set him on the gray sheeted bed, the hero surprisingly still asleep. Doc looked back at Bdubs. He looked like a sleeping prince. Doc cringed at the connection but accepted it. 'I can call him a prince if I want to.' He thought, then walked over to the kitchen. He snagged a mug from one of the cabinets and placed it under a small coffee machine on the back counter. He clicked a button and let it fill with steamy dirty beans. Doc didn't know what to add to the coffee, so he just poured in a bit of milk and set it on the small side table next to the couch. The cyborg sat down on the soft cyan sofa with a grunt. His robotic eye hyper-focused on the door to Bdubs room that sat unmoving down the hall. Doc looked over at the hot cup of coffee with a sigh. "Bdubs better like cold coffee, because that's what he's gonna get if he doesn't wake up soon."

Bdubs groaned as he woke up back into reality. He blinked as he let his eyes adjust to the bright stream light that crept in under his bedroom door. Had he left the lights on? The man slipped his feet off the bed and onto the floor as his mind gathered its consciousness. He looked down and was met with a strange confusion.

"Why did I sleep with my shoes on?" He asked out loud, his shoes tapping on the floor. He knew he had a tendency every once in a while to fall asleep at a certain time no matter what the time or situation, but he was sure that habit was fading away. His friends even called him "The king of sleep" for a while. The hero grumbled a bit as he kicked off his red converse and stood up straight. Bdubs stretched his arms above his head, his gaze looking at his door. The hero walked over and hovered his hand towards the door. Something felt weird, or wrong. He felt like he was missing something. The hero sat there as his hand shook over the door handle. 'What happened last night?' He thought. The hero's mind began shuffling back through anything he could remember. Roof, that's right, he went to the roof to blow off some steam, to practice. Then Doc showed up and...they fought and... "We kissed," Bdubs said. His face getting red at the realization. His hand slammed down on the door handle, forcing the door open. He looked down as he panicked and made his way down the hall. He froze right in front of the small kitchen entry in between the wall and counter. There was someone there. Bdubs slowly inched out to try to peek past the cabinets but jumped as a figure stepped out in front of him. Bdubs let out a sound of alarm as he stumbled backward. His bottom hit the floor as his feet lifted out from underneath him, the hero's eyes zooming upwards. "Doc? God, you scared me-" Bdubs said as he looked up at the familiar face. The villain looked down at the hero with a shocked glare as he too recovered from the sudden scare.

"I tend to do that." He said, rubbing a hand across his face. Bdubs looked up at the villain. Doc looked happy, it was a strange sight for the hero, but inside it made his heart flutter. Bdubs looked away when the two made eye contact. Bdubs face was red along with the villains as he reached out his robotic hand to him. The hero took it, Doc then lifting him to his feet, the villain pulling him close and resting a hand on Bdubs waist.

"Why are you still here-" Bdubs said as he looked up at the villain, the sudden touch shaking down his spine. "What happened after..."

"You fell asleep?" Doc started. "Well I couldn't leave you sleeping on the cold roof could I?" He said. Bdubs face went red as he awkwardly shifted in the villains hold.

"Well, I guess that makes sense..." Bdubs said, looking down. Bdubs blinked quickly as he looked back up to see Doc leaning closer to him. The villain kissed Bdubs softly on the cheek. The hero pulled himself away for a moment. "Will you stop that?" Bdubs said. Doc laughed for a moment, seemingly happy to see Bdubs red face.

"You're just so kissable though." He commented. Bdubs glared up at the villain before shaking himself out of Doc's grasp.

"No! This shouldn't be happening! I fight you, you fight me! That's how this goes! Not, I fight, you kiss!" Bdubs shouted, his voice rising a few octaves. Doc leaned against the side wall with a sigh.

"So we are just supposed to fight each other? No...change of morals or heart?" Doc said, the right side of his face finally matching the left with a full stupid grin.

"That's w-wright!" Bdubs said, his voice switching to a cracky tone. The hero could feel his face, it was so hot. Doc nodded his head a little, taking in Bdubs words. The villain then closed his fist, causing Bdubs to feel his limbs go stiff. Doc moved closer to him, now practically leaning him back against the wall. The villain placed a hand on the wall right next to Bdubs face with a smile.

"So right now, If I was supposed to be fighting you, this would be the perfect chance to kill you?" He said. Bdubs looked up at him.

"Yes- Yes I guess it would be," Bdubs said, he had to be honest, he wasn't listening to the villain's threats at all. All Bdubs was doing was staring at his lips. He shook his head in a terrible attempt to get the thoughts of kissing the villain out of his head. Doc let out a small laugh as he began to lean closer. Bdubs's heartbeat quickened as a dorky smile branched across his face. He was about to accept the kiss when the villain pulled away, pushing himself upward off the wall and spinning on his heel to turn away.

"Well I'm not really in the killing mood, but I got coffee." The tall cyborg said as he walked away. Bdubs snapped out of his trance, the hero almost sinking in his spot. 'Oh, he's messing with me.' Bdubs concluded. Bdubs watched as Doc picked up a small coffee cup off of the table in the living room, placing it on the kitchen counter. Bdubs pushed himself off the wall and took a seat at one of the counter's bar stools, the hero taking the cup into his hands. "I didn't know what type of coffee you're into, so I just added some milk to it," Doc commented. Bdubs shrugged, taking a sip of the hot drink.

"Not bad," Bdubs said. "Some sugar would have been nice though." He continued as he slowly took another sip. Doc shrugged and rested his elbows on the opposite side of the counter from Bdubs. The hero was silently surprised, this was truly one of the first times he had seen the villain genuinely calm. No real amount of anger or sarcasm, just a handsome soft smile.

"Don't you have something Villain-ish to do?" Bdubs asked, setting his coffee cup down. Doc raised an eyebrow, a bit stumbled by the comment. 'Good.' Bdubs laughed to himself.

"Don't you have a job to get to?" The villain responded, shaking his stunned reaction off like it was nothing. Bdubs felt a bit of annoyance begin to rise as he stared at Doc's stupid yet hot smirk.

"They can handle just fine without me," Bdubs mumbled, realizing he probably would have to come up with another good reason for not going to work. Bdubs picked up his coffee again

"Aww, skipping a day of work for me? I'm flattered." The villain smirked.

"Not the first time." Bdubs muttered as he drank more coffee, getting a quick "Huh?" from Doc. The hero let out a laugh as he set the cup back down. "Please, do you know how many times you have decided to pull some petty robbery right while I'm at work? If anything they are used to it by now." Bdubs asked. Doc tilted his head to the side in amusement.

"Come on, I was just doing my job!" He stated. "People need things, I get them."

"I'm sure not all of the plots you have had over the past few years were paid by employers," Bdubs said.

"And what if some of them were so I could just see you? It worked didn't it?" Doc said, pushing himself upward. Bdubs blushed a bit.

"Ya whatever," He rolled his eyes. Doc then started slowly walking around the counter.

"And if I hadn't, we might not be here right now." The villain said, stopping right in front of Bdubs. "I mean-"

"Why haven't you kissed me yet?"

Bdubs stared up at the villain as he stood over him. The hero's face got even redder as the villain leaned down towards him.

"That was very blunt? I thought we were supposed to fight? Not kiss..." He said. The villain was slightly frowning, but behind his stare, Bdubs could see a spark of glee. The hero pushed upwards from his seat, happily pulling Doc into a small kiss. He felt the villain's lips part into a smile, Doc then deepened the kiss. The two pulled away, resting their foreheads together as Bdubs let out a small laugh.

"This is so weird." He laughed quietly. Doc laughed a bit at that, pulling Bdubs up from the bar stool to stand up.

"I guess it is?" The villain said. "We are breaking the hero fight villain trope aren't we?"

"Haha! Ya, I guess we are." Bdubs smiled, wrapping his arms around Doc. "Want to keep breaking that cliche?" The hero asked, looking up at the villain.

"I would love to," Doc smiled, placing a hand on Bdubs chin and leaned down to give Bdubs another kiss.

Keralis shut the small glass casing door as he finished stocking the small shelf with croissants. He was surprised he had to restock them so fast, as the cafe had only been open for a few hours. The cafe was slowly drifting out of its busy hour, which was good. The man grumbled to himself as he rested his elbow on the counter, watching as the slow cafe day dragged on.

"Bdubs isn't coming in today is he?" Grian asked, stepping out of the cafe's backroom doors. Keralis turned towards the brit, then back to the front door. The worker shook his head, getting an accepting sigh from Grian.

"How come he just doesn't show up a lot, don't you find that weird?" He asked.

"Well, maybe he just has personal business," Keralis said, getting a grouchy mumble from Grian.

"Or he's just getting that intense need to sleep again." Grian chuckled to himself. Keralis let out a small laugh as well.

"I'm sure it's important Brian," Keralis reassured him. Grian nodded, jumping to sit upon the counter. "Bdubs isn't one to just not go to work for no reason-" Keralis started but stopped as he realized that wasn't entirely true. "Most of the time." Grian nodded, then quickly jumped up from his spot and snagged one of the large blender cups from the counter. "Where are you going?"

"To trap the backroom! If our lovely friend decides to show up, I think we should greet him with a bit of a surprise." Grian smiled mischievously as he disappeared to the back.

"Do something good, Grian! This needs to be something he will remember!" Keralis shouted. The man adjusted his glasses on his face as he continued to laugh. Even if Bdubs was out doing super duper extremely important hero things, it still wouldn't save him from being pranked by his friends.

Yes Bdubs is doing something that is 100% totally super important and is saving hundreds of lives as we speak. Because kissing a cyborg villain is totally saving me rn X3
