Doc's vision blurred in and out as he felt someone shake him. His robotic eye adjusted to see Bdubs on top of him. His bandana had slightly slipped off his face, the light that usually covered his brown eyes was flickering in and out like a broken lamp. His gaze was full of anger.

"What. The. Hell." The hero shouted. Doc groaned. The villain sat up, his movement forcing Bdubs back to rest on Doc's legs. "You destroyed an entire building?!"

"Actually Canem did." Doc retorted as he leaned his arms back to rest on the rough ground. "I just helped you live."

"O-hohohoh, YOU helped me live?! You have been trying to kill me for years?! Why change your mind now?!?" Bdubs screamed, his eyes stopped flickering and rested as their normal brown.

"You just changed emotions really fast, because just 5 minutes ago it looked like we were working together." Doc tilted his head and smirked, But Bdubs continued.

"And who the hell was that guy?! He said he tore your arm off! Wait where did you get the new one? Wait no that doesn't matter-" Doc stared at the hero as he continued to rant. 'Note to self, When he rants he goes on and on without thinking'. "NO! You sent him to kill me! Then help me "defeat him" to try and gain my trust! WELL, I see right through your games!" Bdubs's let go of Doc's coat and sat back, crossing his arms. Doc rolled his eyes. He didn't want to stop him, to be honest he was wondering what the hero would make up next.

"Ya and I also was controlling the guy that entire time." Doc joked. Bdubs gasped and threw his hands down.

"Really?!"

"No." Doc said, his tone deepening. "I didn't not send anyone to kill you. He attacked me. Now will you please get off me before someone shows up." Bdubs stared blankly at him as he finally snapped out of his anger. The hero's face went red as he quickly jumped off the villain sidestepped away. Doc leaned on his knee as he stood to look at Bdubs. "Now can I atleast get a thank you." Doc quickly regretted that as Bdubs's eyes narrowed, his face still bright red.

"A THANK YOU?! REALLY??" Doc then heard sirens round the corner. He grabbed Bdubs, who was still yelling, by the shirt and quickly moved the two of them down into an alley. "Get your hands off of-" Bdubs was cut off by Doc placing his hand over his mouth. Doc put a finger to his lips, signaling to Bdubs to be quiet. Sirens were heard wailing down the street as two police cars appeared at the scene to report what had happened. Doc felt Bdubs pull his hand away, the hero turned to look up at him as Doc continued to hold him close. "I'm not going to thank you." Bdubs angrily whispered. Doc looked down at the hero. His eyes widened when he noticed how close Bdubs face was.

"Fine then, sorry for asking." Doc said in a hushed voice, his face turning away from Bdubs. "We need to get out of here." Bdubs jerked away from Doc, His bandana falling to the floor as he turned to the villain.

"We? No, I am going home....And dont follow me! I have a life outside of fighting you and Because of thisI have to go home and help my neighbor who you hurt, and explain to my friend why I have super powers?!" Doc stood in a quiet anger as he watched Bdubs look at him one more time, then begin to run down the alley back towards his apartment. The villain snapped his eyes off the hero as more sirens began to wail across the street. He looked down to see the cut up red bandana. The tall man reached down and picked it up, then quickly shoving it into his coat pocket. As he left to head back to his base, all Doc could think about was holding Bdubs for those few seconds. 'Stupid Thoughts'

Keralis paced back and forth in Bdubs small apartment. His brain raced so fast it began to hurt. He contemplated calling Shashwamy, but he was afraid if he did he might start screaming. Keralis just couldn't comprehend how Bdubs could be LuxShield. A noise came from the door, Keralis turned to the front door expecting it to open when instead the balcony window creaked open. Keralis turned around to see Bdubs. His nose was bleeding, with multiple new scars all on his face and arms. His jeans were ripped up on the knees and his clothes stained with a bit of blood. Even though Bdubs was a hero, he was still human.

"Bubbles-" Keralis shouted. He ran to his best friend as he shut the glass door. Bdubs looked at him with a smile.

"H-Hey..uh Keralis-" Keralis grabbed his friend by the shoulders and wrapped him in a concerned hug.

"Are you ok!?" He asked, Bdubs laughed silently as Keralis let go.

"I'm fine Keralis..trust me I've had worse." The two stood in silence for a moment. Until Keralis' voice rose shakily as he exploded.

"How could you not tell me you were a SUPERHERO!?" Keralis screamed, he just wanted an answer. Bdubs calm face left as he leaned forward, his eyes looked sad.

"You try telling your best friend you can shoot STARS from your HANDS!?"

"Well I could have helped! Secretly being a superhero must be a lot of pressure!"

"It is! How could it not!" As Bdubs' raised his voice too, he began to cry. "Lying to your friends over and over again... trying constantly not to cry after just witnessing a man get killed-" Keralis watched as the hero began to cry harder. He had never seen Bdubs this broken looking...and it scared him. He was always so charismatic and energetic- "I'm sorry Keralis..I really should have told you, someone.." Keralis didn't say a word as he pulled Bdubs into another big hug.

"Hey...I'm sorry, let's not talk about it right now. Give your brain a break for now just relax." Keralis gave a bittersweet smile as he felt Bdubs drop into his arms. He felt him sob into his shirt, grabbing the back of his shirt tightly. Keralis embraced Bubbles as he helped comfort him, he softly muttered "It's going to alright..."

Bdubs sat in silence in his room. Keralis had left after staying with him for hours, helping him patch up a few wounds while Bdubs told him everything. Bdubs smiled. He was so grateful to have such an amazing friend. The hero's smile slowly faded as he flopped onto his back. He knew Keralis was so calm earlier to keep him calm but Bdubs wished he could have been more excited. It would have made the hero feel a lot better. He wasn't even sure what Kerlais thought about all of this. It was then Bdubs realized how tired he was. The man rose from his spot and made his way out into the kitchen. It was too late to make coffee, and truthfully he didn't want to be up all night. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw one of his plants. It was a decently sized forget me not flower he had gotten about a year ago. Bdubs placed his hand on the blue colored plant and slowly he began to feel the plant's energy be drawn to his finger. When he pulled his hand away the plant looked the same, but despite that he still felt the need to give something back to it. So Bdubs made a small light orb and positioned it above the flower. Now feeling better, Bdubs sat down on his small couch and sighed. It was quiet, a good quiet. He rested his eyes for a moment. It was peaceful.

"Been a while since it's been like this." He mumbled. But his silence was quickly cut off by the sound of movement of a door handle. Bdubs quickly opened his eyes as he sat up, some of his hair floofed over his face in the process. "Wha-'' He turned to the glass door, where there on the balcony of his apartment was the Mangler. The villain stood there with his hand on the door handle, his wounds didn't look as fresh anymore and he was looking at the hero.

"What, you gonna keep staring at me like that?" The Mangler said. Bdubs cheeks went slightly red as he stood up and took hold of the inside door handle.

"W-What do you want? I thought I said to leave me alone."

"You left your bandana at the dinner." The Mangler's muffled said, opening his robotic hand to reveal the stained red cloth. Bdubs stared down at it through the glass, then ran his open hand through his hair. He pulled some of his dark brown hair out of his face, realizing then the bandana was not there to hold it back. Bdubs gripped the door handle with both hands and looked up at the Mangler.

"Thanks for giving it back." The hero said in an irritated voice. He never thought he would bring himself to say that. The Mangler smirked a bit as he leaned down closer to Bdubs eye level. The hero still had his hands gripped tightly on the door handle.

"You're going to have to open the door so you can actually have it." The Mangler said. Bdubs tensed up and looked the villain in the eye.

Bdubs gave an annoyed smile. The Mangler went to open the door but Bdubs quickly stopped it from sliding.

"You can come in... but on one condition." Bdubs said. The Mangler raised his eyebrow intriguingly.

"And what would that be?"

"...A blind fold. Really?" Doc groaned as his human hand touched Bdubs bandana that was tied over his eyes. The red cloth was too thick for his robotic eye to see through, so the villain stood completely blind as Bdubs stood somewhere in front of him.

"Yup. I've been fighting you for a couple years, and don't think I haven't learned how your powers work." Bdubs said in a triumphant voice. Doc rolled his eyes, his mouth forming into an amused grin. "Your power only works if you can SEE the person. And even if you do see them but then lose them you only can control them for about uhh, 3 minutes!"

"5 minutes." Doc corrected. Doc could hear Bdubs scoff at his comment.

"Whatever."

"Uh why is the thing covering my eyes, the thing I was supposed to give back to you?" Doc realised. He couldn't see Bdubs face, but he guaranteed the hero was bright red.

"I, uhhhhh..." Bdubs paused. "I'm questioning you-" his voice got more confident as he came to the conclusion. Doc jerked his head towards the hero in a slight panic.

"Huh!?" Doc questioned.

"That right- I want answers for everything that just happened?!" Bdubs exclaimed. Doc felt stuck, he had no reason to tell anything to the hero but something inside of him wanted to. "Now we can do this the easy way, where you just sit down and I don't have to bound your hands like a police investigation, or I can do that."

"Pfft- you could try." Doc said.

"What you think I won't?!" Bdubs said, slightly offended. Doc laughed a bit and shrugged.

"I never said you wouldn't be able to, just...you might have a hard time." Doc could hear Bdubs's groan in a growing annoyance.

"Just sit down ok?!" Bdubs shouted. Doc obeyed for some reason and stumbled backwards onto the couch. Doc in any normal circumstance would just take the blind fold off and leave but he had to be honest, he was curious where this was going. He could hear Bdubs move to stand in front of him, his voice now coming from a bit above Doc's head.

"Now-"

"Did you make me sit down so you could be taller than me?" Doc asked.

"No?!" Bdubs's voice escalated, making Doc laugh. "Just Shut up and answer me...How did you lose your arm?" Doc paused for a moment. He could not believe he was doing this.

"The first time or the second?" Doc questioned. Bdubs was silent for a second. but then replied.

"Second."

"Canem ripped it off." Doc had said that so casually, but truthfully it was the most embarrassing way to lose an arm.

"Who fixed it?"

"A willing acquaintance."

"Can you be more specific?!"

"No." Doc said, not really wanting to reveal it was Mumbo who had not so willingly helped him.

"Moving on then...How did Canem know I was Luxshield?"

"I don't know, must have tracked you down or something."

"What did you mean by Canem was your old partner?" It took a moment for Doc to answer the hero before he found the right words.

"We used to work together but then he..changed."

"Why are you being so nice all of the sudden?"

"Just had a change of heart I guess." Doc said in a mocking tone. He felt a hand on his shoulder as Bdubs moved closer to him.

"The truth please."

"I don't know." That was the best response he could give, Doc truly didn't know why his behavior towards the short hero had changed. "Can I take this blind fold off now?"

"What makes you think I will say yes?" Doc went silent for a moment before responding,

"Point taken." Bdubs continued

"Now, Before Canem attacked me. He said, "Doccy sucks at keeping secrets", Who is Doccy?" Bdubs asked. The two sat in silence as the question echoed in the air. Doc tensed a bit, his mind flipping around in different directions, before letting out a little laugh

"Wow... guess we both messed up with the nicknames." Doc teased. Bdubs grip on Doc's shoulder lightened as a sign that the hero put the pieces together.

"You're Doccy...Then you did tell Canem who I was?!" Bdubs's anger rose as his hand shoved hard into Doc's shoulder. Doc tried not to rise to Bdubs anger level but the shove sent him over.

"Canem is the last person I would tell anything to! I don't know what secret he was talking about but your quick assumption is really starting to piss me off." Doc stood up, he could tell Bdubs was inches away from him now.

"Take the bandanna off." Bdubs said. Doc reached up and threw the red cloth from his eyes. He angled his head down towards Bdubs, who's eyes were narrowed. Despite the short man's angered face, Doc could feel his heartbeat quicken. "What's your name-" Bdubs questioned. Doc hesitated for a moment, but his anger took over his judgment.

"Doc." He responded with a firm tone.

"Is that really it? Not just another nickname."

"That's it."

"Ok.." The two just stared at each other for a bit, until Bdubs spoke. "You're uncomfortably close."

"I know. Are you done with your dumb questions?"

"Yes."

"Good." Doc stepped back a bit, moving towards the balcony door.

"Hey Doc?" Bdubs said from behind him. Doc turned around to meet his eyes.

"What." Doc said. Bdubs looked up at the villain.

"How long have we been fighting each other again?" Doc paused, turning back towards the door.

"2 years."

"Right......"

I did Keralis and Bdubs but I drew that a while ago because I have wanted them to have that "Omg ur a hero" interaction for a while. Then I also did Doc at the balcony door because I love it way too much owo"
