Prologue
It had been an easy day so I'd decided to go visit a friend of mine. I was riding Epona down a road and it was a fairly lovely day. The sky was blue, the green grass was swaying in the slight breeze that seemed to sing in happiness, and the sun was shinning bright. The day could be described as perfect.
Epona was at a steady canter, headed for Hyrule Woods. The woods were a lovely green today, a great day for a visit. As I entered the forest, I sighed in bliss. The shade was cool after the sun, which was a little warm after riding under it for hours. I stopped for a break.
After loosening Epona's saddle so that she could relax, I grabbed my water bottle and bag with some food from the saddle packs. After thanking her for her work so far, I sat down to eat. The food wasn't the best, and the water tasted like the skin it was in, but I didn't care. It was too good of a day to waste.
I was just putting my things back in the saddle bag when someone hit me on the back of the head, knocking me out, swiftly. The next thing I knew I was facing Ganondorf. "What will your little princess do now without her hero to protect her?" he asked. My eyes hardened. I was an idiot, I had let down my guard and now Hyrule was going to pay the price...
