Chapter 5: Mido's downfall
The were pitiful. Wane and Lag were just plain pitiful. They were happy to go ahead and kidnap bunches of peace loving kokiri, but when the kokiri rebelled, they were just as willing to ask for peace. Needless to say that they didn't get off the hook that easily, thank goodness. We took them back to the village, and started a council to figure out what to do with them and how to prevent this from happening again.
"Let the meeting come to or-" said Fala, cut off by another kokiri slamming the door and coming in. "Hole on a minute!" he roared. "Just because the Great Mido wasn't captured doesn't mean that he shouldn't be part of this meeting!" I looked him up and down. So this was the Mido that Link had told me so much about. He seemed about right: pushy, full of himself, and rude.
Fala looked at Mido, clearly unimpressed. "You mean that just because you hid and let the rest of us get caught you shouldn't be diminished? From what, your self-proclaimed leader of the kokiri role?" I snicker a little, than an idea hit me. "Hey, Fala," I said. "M-hm," she said. "What if the kokiri actually appointed a leader? It would help to keep the kokiri unified and it would dissolve any problems immediatly." I said, glaring down Mido.
"Y-you can't do that!" sputtered Mido. "I've always lead the kokiri!" "Yes," I said. "But did they want you to? Did you have their support?" Mido looked around worried. Many of the other kokiri looked around, muttering and looking at Mido. "You know what, Adlez?" asked Fala. "Yes, Fala?" I asked back. "I think you're right!" I smiled. "Alright then," I said, pulling out a pen and some paper. "If you want to be a candidate, sign up here, and we'll do vote tomorow, deal?" I asked, and generally everyone nodded. "Okay then, until tomorrow!"
