Chapter 3: Plans

After we reached Fareon Woods I decided to visit some friends of link's. The kokiri. But to visit them normally, I'd need to pull of a stunt I'd never tried before. Being the holder of the triforce of wisdom, I knew magic. Just some small magic, nothing like the magic that the sorcerers of old could do, just little things. Turn on the light, fix the dish, paste a smile on my face in front of boring courtiers... especially that last one.

I dismounted and checked for my secret saddle bag pocket. There! Good thing Link didn't know that it was there... he'd probably throw it out, I laughed at the thought, then sobered, thinking about how he was missing. Reaching into the saddle bag, I pulled out a few different colored powders. I walked a little into the forest and started casting my spell.

When I finished my spell I was a kokiri. (blond pigtails, blue eyes, it won't let me put the pic) It was a strange feeling, but bearable, and I'd fit in better. I walked back to Epona and let her get used to my new form. It's a good thing that horses can tell when you've just been transformed, I'd rather not have been kicked.

The transformation was tiring, so I decided to sleep for the night, it was getting dark anyways. After I woke up I ate a quick meal of bread and cheese, then woke up Epona. She wasn't happy with it, she never is, but she dealed. I got her a good breakfast of oats and hay from the saddle bags and we were off again, soon we were on a hill overlooking the kokiri village.

"Stay here," I whispered to Epona. "I'll be back soon." She whinnied in reply, and I took it as a positive. I walked down to the village, and all seemed quiet. I checked the houses, no one, I looked in the berry fields, the lost forest which I knew like the back of my hand (she took lots of geography lessons), but still there was no one to be found. Then I went to look at the new Deku tree. The Great Deku tree's son.

As I walked down the path, I could feel someone watching me, but I didn't think much of it. I kept walking, but when I got to where I should've reached the new Deku tree, there was a wall in the way. I stopped, confused, and out of nowhere, a bag was pushed over me and I was in a sack.

"Hah!" said a voice. "I think that's the last of 'em." "That's what you said before we saw that one, Wane." said another voice. "We should double, triple check the village." "Pah!" said Wane. "Even if there are more, what good can they do? Ganondorf only wanted fifty for the project!" "Yeah," said the second voice. "Because that's all he thought there was. Besides, they're harmless!"

"Stop whining, Lag, he also said that we needed to be back a week from today! If we stick around any longer we won't make it in time!" said Wane. "Fine, Wane, let's do it your way, but you can deal with Ganon." said Lag. "Yeah, yeah," said Wane. "Let's just put this one with the others and get on the road.

I felt my sack being dumped into a cage wagon, like the ones I'd seem tigers in at the circus when they came. Then Wane and Lag went to the front of the wagon and started noisily talking while getting the horses ready and starting up. I popped out of my sack to see that the cage was fairly crowded but still managed to hold about 50 kokiri. They all seemed quiet, tired, and defeated.

"Hi," said a kokiri holding out her hand. "Welcome to out home!" She said, smiling a little ruefully.
