Leo X Angel Reader

"Leo!" you yelled as he pushed you out of the way, causing the beam that was aimed at you to hit him instead. Before you could do anything else, a bright light filled the room. You lifted your injured wings above your eyes to shield them from the light, as the turtle brothers did the same with their arms.

As the light dimmed, you looked up and gasped, tears threatening to fall. There was Leo, a concerned look on his face, standing still, as he was completely stone.

"L... Leo..." you said just above a whisper as you stepped closer. You placed a hand on his cold, stone cheek as you sniffed. You immediately started sobbing as you wrapped both your arms around Leo's neck, crying into his shoulder.

Donnie stared in disbelief at Leo's unmoving figure. Mikey sniffed, and immediately ran over to his older brother in red, who didn't hesitate to give into a hug.

Nobody even noticed Draxum opening a portal, walking away. And even if they did, it would be doubtful that they would care.

"Hey Leo..." You said as you walked into the room, most of your injuries now healed up. However, there was still one last scar on your heart that you couldn't heal, as the turtle you had fallen in love with not too long ago was stone.

"It's...It's been a week, Leo..." you said, your voice quivering as you stared at the stone figure. Your eyes had lost the their lively color, your skin had gotten paler, and there were small bags under your eyes, your hair was no longer as taken cared for as it was, and your wings no longer had their pure and elegant feel. You didn't feel as angelic.

You sighed, looking down. "What can I do to help you...?" you asked, blinking away your tears. As if someone had spoken to you, you looked up, your eyes wide. You remembered something. The Crystal Tear...

Without hesitation, you flew out of the lair. Your eyes were still slightly full, but a spark of hope could be seen within. Maybe, just maybe... There was hope.

Darkness. All he could see.

Silence. All he could hear.

Cold. All he could feel.

If he could, he would've sighed. How he missed being... him.

He missed being able to move, running around, doing backflips. He missed hanging out with his brothers, April, and you, eating pizza on a rooftops, enjoying being teens.

He missed his brothers. He missed skateboarding with Mikey. He missed blowing up things so he could annoy Donnie. He missed training with Raph.

...He missed you. He missed seeing you gracefully and energetically flying through the air, hearing your laughter, feeling your soft hand holding his. He missed it all so, so much...

But for the first time in what felt like forever... he saw light.

He wasted no time to rush over. The light was coming from a tear shaped crystal. He grabbed it, and his world was filled with light.

You stepped back as Leo's stone prison started crumbling, revealing his green skin and blue mask. His expression of concern was turned into one of shock as he looked down at his hands, pebbles falling onto the ground.

You sniffed, rubbing a tear off your cheek. "Leo!" you yelled, running into his arms. He laughed as he caught you, lifting you into the air.

He finally lowered you, your foreheads touching. He looked down, and his eyes widened. "Your... Your wings..." he said, as he traced your wingless back.

You laughed awkwardly, "Yeah...I...had to get rid of them... so I could get this."

You held up the Crystal Tear. "I couldn't just let you stay stone forever..." you said, looked down, "Even if I can't be an angel anymore..."

You hummed in confusion as Leo placed a hand under your chin, raising your face so you would look up at him. "Hey...." he said, "No matter what...With or without wings... you'll always be my angel."

You blinked a few times, your eyes wide as your cheeks were covered with a light shade of pink. "You..."

"Yes, (Y/N)," Leo answered your unspoken question, avoiding eye contact, "I...I li- no. I love you."

He looked back to see a wide smile on your face. Without hesitation, you leaned in, your hands holding his, as your lips touched his.

He stared, not believing any of this, but closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around your figure. It was true. No matter what you were, you were always his angel.

833 words.
