Chapter Eight - Finally Found
Luan stopped hugging Luna's body and head and sighed, setting it next to her. She knew if she wanted to get home, being in the dumpster would get her nowhere. She slowly climbed out and landed outside of the dumpster.
Luan didn't move, instead, she put her head in her hands and started to cry. She failed to notice the sound of footsteps approaching her until a small, familiar voice spoke.
"Luan? Is that you?"
Luan looked up and saw Lana standing there, looking at Luan in surprise. "Lana?" Luan asked, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Why are you here?"
"Dude, we've been looking for you since Lori said you went missing," she responded. "Hold up, I'm going to call mom and dad."
Lana pulled out a small cellphone and dialed in her parent's phone number, putting the phone up to her ear. "Yes? Mom? Dad? It's Lana, just calling to let you guys know I found Luan," she said with happiness in her voice.
Her grin changed from happy to worried in almost an instant, making her look back at Luan before she spoke again. "Luna? No, I don't see her."
Luan just stared at Lana as she continued to talk to her parents, and after a few minutes she hung up the phone and looked at Luan with worry. "Is Luna with you?" She asked, walking up to Luan.
Luan remembered the figure murdering her, and this caused Luan to start crying. "Luna, s-she...she..was -" she couldn't help but cry loudly, and the vision of Luna being murdered flashed into her head again and again.
Lana gasped quietly and placed her hands over her mouth, tears starting to form. Even though she was only six years old, she knew why Luan was crying, and she really wanted to cry with her.
Around five minutes have passed when the parents and their siblings pulled up in the Vanzilla and came running toward Luan.
"Oh my God! Luan! You're okay, you literally had us worried!" Lori said, giving Luan a hug. A small very brief smile crossed Luan's face, but it went away as soon as it appeared.
"Like, this is great and all, but when did Luna turn invisible?" Leni suddenly asked, looking around for Luna. Luan felt angry at Leni for asking that, but she had to give her a small break because she wasn't the brightest person around.
"Luna...she...she was -" Luan tried to put all of her sadness behind her and speak clearly without showing she was sad, but it wasn't working as well as she thought. "I know you guys won't believe me but...Luna was....she was murdered by this...strange black figure....I was forced to watch...I was so scared...I thought I was going to die, too...but I didn't..."
There was a long silence and everyone stared at Luan before bursting into tears. Never in the Loud family's life had they expected something like this to happen, to have one of their family members be murdered. "I can't believe this," the mother said. "I never thought this would happen to anyone."
There was a faint, echoey laughter that could suddenly be heard. It sounded insane, yet at the same time hurt.
"Oh," the voice spoke. To everyone's surprise, the voice sounded like Luan, but at the same time, it didn't. There was only silence as the family waited for the voice to speak again. "But it's happened before, many, many times before..."
(A/N) And with this (shorter than usual) chapter, this story is over! Yay! This was actually fun until the point that caused me to loose interest in the story a bit. (only a few people know of the issue that caused me this bad writers block)
Anyway.....My next story will either be Undertale or Steven Universe. If you want to know the ideas I have you can check my profile description.
Other than that, I hope you enjoyed this story, thanks for reading, and I will see you guys in the next one! xP
