Grian attempts the art of subtlety: Pearl Edition!

Pearl's PoV of the meeting.
Impulse allowed Pearl to take her time calming down. X had already called the meeting by the time she stopped freaking out. They set off together, Impulse flying unusually close to her in obvious concern.
The two arrived somewhat early despise leaving later. He pointed in the direction of where her seat was as he went off.
Pearl scanned the room for a familiar shade of red. It took a few minutes but she spotted it waking in next to Doc and Ren. She marched directly in their direction the second she did.
"Do you know what this is about?" She tried to whisper the question at Grian alone but the others heard.
"Your guess is as good as ours," Doc answered with a chuckle. She giggled half-heartedly but kept her eyes trained on G. His face held a small signature smirk that just told he was up to no good. Under most circumstances, it'd be comforting but now was not the time for empty reassurances. She needed a straight answer.
They sat down in their designated sections. Pearl tried to follow Grian to his but someone stepped in and pointed at the other side of the table thinking she was lost. She thanked them and sat down despite them thwarting her way.
"You're probably wondering..." (We get it X. They're wondering why you called them here.) Pearl listened to X explain why they were there but was more focused on watching the Watcher. "...If anyone knows anything about this, now is the time to say it."
She put her hand up to tell them about the symbol and what it meant. Maybe not relaying the information about Grian but still filling them in. Watchers may be omnipotent everywhere but They weren't very well known. More like dark and mysterious gods, it added to their aesthetic.
'NO!'
Pearl couldn't help but flinch at a voice in her head. Wait, she didn't have voices in her head. And why did it sound like-
'Because it is me. Now put your hand down.'
She did as she was told. She recognised the voice, but why was she hearing it in her head?
'I'm magic, duh.'
Pearl opened her mouth to speak to the voice but stopped before she could say anything. It was responding to everything she had thought so far. It made sense that it was reading her mind somehow.
'Obviously I can. Also, close your mouth, you look like a gaping fish. Just think.'
'Okay,' she thought after closing her mouth. 'So why can't I tell them? They should be prepared for the inevitable.'
'Just don't. I'll take care of everything, trust me. The more they know the more danger they'll be in. My job's hard enough as is. With two former Evoulisionists on the server, including an ex-Watcher. We're a surefire target now, especially after you led them here!
'I'm sorry,'
'Don't be, it's fine.'
"You mean this one?" Pearl had been so caught up in her mental conversation that she hadn't noticed Cub raising his point. The exact point she'd just been told not to raise herself.
'Well now what?'
'Pray they don't ask us. I doubt they'll believe we know nothing if they-.'
'"Grian, is there something you want to share with the class."
'Shit!'
"What? Me? Nooooo... actually you know, I've gotta do a thing somewhere, NICE MEETING GUYS, GO, TEAM, WOO!!" Grian bolted for the door and took off, racing at speeds no one could match.
She banged her head into the table repeatedly
'Why are you such an idiot? Why would you do that?'
Cheers,
Isabelle
