Rain starts to pour at the footstep of the house it then shows a young man slowly walking the footsteps towards the house as the sounds of crutches were heard as he's wearing a military off duty uniform stopping at the front of the house he then moves his crutches to the side and knock on the front door.

???: "In a bit..."

As the door opened it shows the young man wearing glasses with green eye's looking at the person on the front door.

???: "Rivers is that you?"

Rivers: "It has been while hasn't it?"

???: "Come, Come in!"

As the man lets River inside his home the two sat down on the table drinking coffee as River moved his crutches to the side of the table.

???: "I heard you were discharged by your injury I see."

 The man then looks at River's leg to see it in the cast this made him chuckle for a bit as he drinks his coffee.

Rivers: "Well don't worry I heal up real quickly, so it will be a matter of days or months that I will be joining the Hell jumpers soon.

???: "So you finally made it to the ODST?"

Rivers: "Damn right we're going in hard and rough."

???: "I see..... Oh, Rivers. Have you heard anything of my wife?" 

Rivers: "Yeah about that...."

He said that with a sad tone in his voice reaching towards his pocket he then pulls out a dog tag and hands it to the man placing it on his hand he looked at the dog tag with his hands shaking as tears runs down his check.

Rivers said nothing but have one tear run down his cheek feeling the pain of what the man is going through, but before he could say anything the man spoke up to River with a shaken voice. 

???: "W-What happened...."

Rivers: "She was killed trying to save me as the enemy injured my leg..... Leonard listened to me I-"

Leonard: "Don't say another word to me!........ Why you didn't save her!"

Rivers: "I tried to...... But she stayed behind covering me as I was being dragged by my squad."

*Flashback*

Rivers: "ALLISON!"

ODST Soldier: "Sir you are badly hurt!"

Rivers: "I DON'T CARE WE NEED TO GO BACK!!"

ODST Soldier 2: "Sir we can't there are too many of them!"

As Rivers was being dragged by his fellow ODST soldiers Rivers only watch and see Allison in cover looking at him with a sad smile as a tear roll down her face he remembers what she said to him before he got dragged away from her.

Allison: "Don't say goodbye I hate goodbye's....."

End of Flashback

Hearing what River said Leonard then slowly got up from the table and walk away from him Rivers gets up from his seat grabbing his crutches and walked towards Leonard placing his hand on his shoulder.

Rivers: "I'm here to give you my condolence with the behalf of the UNSC...... I'm sorry....."

Leonard: "You're not sorry....."

Rivers: "Excuse me?"

Leonard: "You're not sorry when you left her to die! YOU LEFT HER TO DIE!"

Rivers: "You're blaming me for her death? Leonard she stayed behind protecting me as I was getting Medical attention! You can't blame her death on me!"

Leonard: "THEN WHY YOU LET HER DIE!"

Leonard then push Rivers to the floor making him let go his crutches and hit the ground hard trying to hold his scream back Rivers look at Leonard with glare and barked back at him.

Rivers: "I tried to go back! Despite when I got injured I tried to save my old friend! I did and all I ever came across to find her was the body! I know she doesn't blame me for her death she couldn't let me her old friend to die out there!"

Leonard: "Get out...... Just get out of my house....."

Slowly crawling from the floor Rivers crawl towards the chair picking himself up he grabbed his crutches from the floor and give Leonard a glare as he was leaving the house Rivers then barely notice to see a little girl in the stairs looking at him with a sad face. 

Guessing on this River bet that she heard everything that happened to her mother walking out of the house Rivers then look to the side and see's a small family picture of the Church's household.

Looking down sad of seeing his old friend Rivers then opened the door and began to leave the house once he took a step of the outside of the rain he then hears thing being destroyed in the inside of the house including the long cry of grief knowing he is not welcome to that family anymore Rivers then continues to walk forward only for a thunder flashes on to him making him shift to his in the ODST armor as rain was pouring on his armor.

Exiting of the pod Rivers looks around his surrounding only see the war torn city hearing the gunfire and plasma fire in the background River look up in the sky only see the gray cloud cover the sky. 

River: "Come on Hell jumpers let push to our objective!"

As the squad of ODST charge forward with Plasma round fire past them explosion happened all around making dirt or debris hit the armor of the ODST as they move forward shooting at the covenant still pushing forward Rivers see's more of his ODST fall to the ground until a brute smack him to the ground on to the muddy water. 

Grabbing his M6D pistol and starts firing at one of the debris that is on top of the brute shooting at it the Brute ready to finished Rivers off only to be killed by the debris as it landed on top of him seeing that happened it was nighttime as small fire of destroyed warthogs light up the area as it shows a squad of ODST standing in circle as they buried on of their comrades with his weapon and his destroyed helmet sticking out.

Watching this River then grabbed the war torn flag of the ODST and stuff it inside his armor getting up his feet the remaining of ODST turned to him as he grabbed his weapon and helmet as they looked at River he then put his helmet on and later making the other ODST put theirs on and rushes in for the fight.
