The preacher's death astonished many people, but it affected Minnie. She was genuinely afraid. Afraid to go outside, afraid to see her friends, afraid to do anything. It seemed like everybody she was getting close to was dying. She wouldn't leave the house for anything, even for school until October 29th when Sean and Matt (With permission from Minnie's parents) dragged her to their uncle's police car and he drove them to school. 

The entire way there Minnie was screaming like a psycho, struggling to escape the cop car, but she could not escape because the doors were locked and Matt and Sean had her arms pinned.

When they arrived, Minnie was tempted on making a mad dash back to her house, but she was too afraid to be outside on her own, so she finally relented and carried on to the door of the school, following her friends, looking behind her shoulder suspiciously oof anybody who could possibly attempt to sneak up behind this defenseless girl and brutally mur-

"So your scheme worked after all!" exclaimed Principal Fredrick Redfeather to the boys. The two young men smiled at him and Sean asked sarcastically "You doubted our capabilities?" followed by Matt adding "Of course, we needed a little bit f lawn enforcement so we didn't look like child child-kidnappers."

Principal Redfeather looked up from the boys toward the parked police car and he waved to the driver who was paying the man no attention at all.

"Well, I guess you won the bet," he said as he handed each of the bys a twenty-dollar bill, then continued "Now hurry up to class you three, you're already six minutes late."

Minnie, who was now walking between Sean and Matt to first period halted, grabbed their shoulders, and in a voice of both betrail and disgust asked "Hold  up, you DRAGGED me to school against my will, having me under the impression that it was because you truly cared for my well being when in reality you were trying to earn a quick buck!" her bitter tone quickly amplified to a loud shout, but before she can scald them any further, Sean took her hand and said, "No Minnie, we DID drag you here against your will because we care about you, it's just as we were planning this the principal thought we would never pull it off, so we also made a quick buck in the process."

Hearing this, Minnie calmed down and continued walking back to class. The rest of the day was normal, nothing really exciting, that is until it was lunch period. Normally, she would sit with her friends, but Matt and Sean had to leave school early that day to help their mother who was expecting. This meant she had nobody to sit with, no friends, no one around to hang out with.

After lunch, she went to the bath lady's room because she wasn't feeling all that great. Minnie turned on one of the sinks, looked into the mirror, and reached into her pocket to grab-

"Hey Tiny!" Minnie jumped and released the object she was going to take out of her pocket, and responded to "Please Abigail, not today."

Abigail, followed by her click, went right in Minnie's face and pointed at her bruised nose which was still recovering, and she said "I'm gonna make you pay for what you did," then she shoved Minnie to the ground. Minnie, who was already not having a good day, began to tear up.

"Oh believe me Tiny, that's the least of what I'm about to do to you!" Abigail grabbed Minnie by her color, then Chloe came beside her and said, "Woah Abi, chill, it was only a broken nose! It doesn't even look that bad! You don't have t-"

"Shut up Chloe!" Abigail slapped Minnie across her face, then once again shoved her to the ground.

Minnie was no longer tearing, but she wanted to scream. Her face and ears turned red again, just as they did last time, but the only one who noticed was Chloe, who raced out the restroom door.

Minnie got up and Abigail attempted to slug her, but Minnie backed up then lunged right at her. She punched her nose again, the two began grabbing each other and shoving. Suddenly, Ms. Herriot, the school's gym teacher, and Principal Redfeather rushed in followed by Chloe, but at that moment the two quarreling girls threw each other into opposite directions. Abigail was pushed into an open stall and fell tripped backward onto a toilet, and Minnie was flung an inch shy of the long mirror against the wall. both were immediately sent to the principal's office.

"I'm very disappointed with you two, you girls should be ashamed of yourselves." Principal Redfeather said in a low, stern voice "Since you two seem to be at each other's necks, I have no choice but to suspend you both," he paused, looked out the window beside him, then looked back at the girls and continued "Starting tomorrow, but that means you will both be staying until after the Halloween party tonight. You two will be cleaning up along with some other students... and if you don't show up I will extend your suspension. Understood?"

Both girls couldn't look the principal in the eyes, but they both nodded, and he said "Good, now wait in the hall. Minnie, Scott McCoy is going to take you home." then he turned and looked directly at Abigail and continued "Abigail, your mother's coming to pick you up."

When Officer Scott arrived with Sean, Minnie couldn't even look them in the eyes, and she dragged her feet the squad car. The entire drive was quiet, nobody spoke, no radio playing, and there was no chatter on the police radio. She was dropped off at her home, and even then the only words spoken were from Sean saying "See you tonight!".

Minnie went to her room and noticed the bruise on her face, and a single tear fell from her face. She rolled up her long sleeves revealing many self-inflicted cuts, then she reached into her pocket to grab her small knife, but it was no longer there. She checked her other pocket, still no sign of it, she figured it must have dropped during her tussle with Abigail.

Later that night she got dressed in her costume witch costume she bought earlier that year, but it was a no sleeve, so she wore a black long-sleeve underneath.

Outside, Mister Scott beeped his horn and Matt shouted, "C'mon Minnie, we're gonna be late!". Minnie raced down the stairs, she didn't even put her makeup on, but at this point, she didn't care.

When they arrived, Mister Scott pulled Minnie aside and asked her "Do you have my number on speed dial?"

"Why?" Minnie asked, puzzled.

"In case you feel like throwing another punch, or if you feel, well..." he paused. Minnie noticed he was wearing his old dog tags, then he continued "I know what you've been dealing threw, and I was the same way when I was going threw these early stages."

"Of what?" she asked, but then, taking into account that he was wearing the dog-tags, she said "Oh, right, PTSD"

"Listen, some of the costumes in there are gonna probably have fae blood or something, so if it starts buggin' you, just gimme a ring, I'll be waiting right out here."

"Thank you, Mister Scott," Minnie said, then she hugged him and went on inside.

Mister Scott took out a cigarette and said under his breath "Good luck kid, good luck."

Inside, Minnie attempted to make her way to the snack table, she hadn't eaten dinner yet, so she was hungry. As she was maneuvering her way, she could overhear Abigail... crying, and she was talking to her click.

"What did she do to you this time?" Francine asked.

"You know how she is, she cares more about how her ugly disgrace of a daughter looks instead of how I feel! She even threw away my costume because it was far too hideous, So I had to come dressed normally! I'm so sick of her, I wish my dad got custody!" Abigail ranted, but Minnie just kept going on, she knew her presence would not make things better.

Minnie was still trying to maneuver her way threw the crowd when she saw somebody dressed as somebody... headless, then she saw costumes covered in fake blood. The room began to pin and Minnie was feeling like throwing up, so she rushed to the restroom.

hours later the party ended, it was time to clean, but Abigaildecided a great idea would be to hide in the restroom. She entered and asked, "Anybody in here?", Minnie, who had found her knife and was beginning to make more cuts held her tongue, she did not want Abigail to know she was there.

Abigail, thinking nobody was in the room, opened the stall right next to Minnie, then a chilling voice called out "Abigail,". She turned around and standing right at the restroom door was a man dressed in mostly black with a plague mask on his face and a black fedora on his head, then she screamed and yelled, "Are you g-going to h-hurt me?"

The man loomed over her and answered, "No my dearest, I'm here to save you. wouldn't you like to be free from that terrible woman who raises you?". Abigail nodded, then asked, "Wait, who are you?".

The dark figure grabbed her by the hair and answered "Mister Crow, the healer to those in pain... your deliverer."

He then continued to drag her by her hair to the mirror, where he began marvelously smashing her face into it. Then, he lifted her and said "An eye for an eye makes the world go blind." he grabbed two long pieces of mirror and shoved them into the poor girl's eye sockets, and shoving another one into her heart.

As he began to leave he spotted Minnie who had been watching in terror, then said "Ahh, I see how this works.", and he advanced to her stall which was locked. Minnie, knowing she only had a minute or two before he killed her, pulled out her phone and called Mister Scott.

"Mister Scott, he's here! The rumors are true! He's in the restroom! He's trying to kill me!", on the other end Mister Scott said, "Okay Minnie, stay calm, Where are you?".

"I'm in the lady's room, end stall! Please help me!" Minnie cried, then he hung up.

In almost no time, Mister Crow busted the lock and grabbed Minnie by the arm, and he could barely but still saw some of Minnie's cuts.

"Interesting," he said "It' seems I'll be releasing two people from the pain of this world tonight"

He pulled out a bowie knife and raised, Minnie still in his grip. Minnie made a scream so loud it could be heard from the other end of the school.

"Hey, you!" Mister crow turned to face the voice and saw him, Officer Scott McCoy had his sidearm aimed at him and he shouted, "Pit the girl and knife down, then get on your knees and put your hands behind your head!" Then he turned on his walky-talky and commanded, "I'm gonna need some backup here at the school, I have the old Mister Crow guy cornered, but he has a hostage." 

The lights began to flicker, and Mister Crow said "Rest assured Minnie, I will free you from this pain.", then the lights went out and he released Minnie, shoved Officer Scott, and ran out.

"Are you okay Minnie" Mister Scott got down on one knee, and Minnie collapsed in his arms, shaking and sobbing. Just a few minutes later, a squad of police came in, town and state. Then the town's police chief, Chief Gorden said as he entered the crime scene "This is the third Mister Crow sighting tonight, and the fifth kill... and this one is the least morbid."

"What do you mean Chief?" Officer Scott asked, then Chief Gorden showed him his phone, and Minnie regrettably glanced at the terrible photos.

One photo showed an old couple dead on their sofa, wrapped on barbed wire, another showed a little boy who had his little body shoved into a jack-o-lantern burned to a crisp, and another showed a who was half chopped up by a lawnmower... Minnie couldn't stand the sight. 

"This girl is the only survivor," the chief said, then he turned his head to Minnie and said, Listen, we have a few questions to ask you young lady, you just have to come to the police station, okay?"

Minnie nodded and was taken to the police station for questioning...
